Owned this for a couple of years. I'm doubtful it has been used and washed more than 25 times since we've owned it. Dishwasher safe, so we dishwasher machine washed it those times after use. The slicer is metal, but the handguard between the colored handle and the round slicer is coated in a chrome finish that cracks and breaks off. It still slices just fine. But I thought buying Kitchaid brand would be reliable for lasting quality.

Before this we had an older pizza cutter that was getting wobbly and dull. This KitchenAid pizza wheel does a great job to cut the pizza nicely and has a nice weight to it where it feels very solid in your hand. Its not revolutionizing the pizza cutting world, but it is a solid tool and does its one job well.

My mother has this amazing 1970s pizza cutter that I always loved, and I have been trying to find one that I like for years. This one is almost as big as her antique one, it has a really good hand feel, and it is very solid construction. It’s also easy to clean, unlike a lot of pizza cutters that have 1/2 covered up where stuff gets stuck…

The pizza cutter I chose was by faberware. It seems sharp. Came packaged with plastic over cutter which keeps people from getting cut. It's zip tied to the cardboard I guess so no one can steal it. It was hard to cut the zip ties though for a disabled person. It was priced reasonably.

It cuts the pizza easily and is very sturdy in the hand. I place my thumb on the guard to add force when cutting. Wheel feels sharp and the rivet holding the wheel seems sturdy. Used it on 15 pizza till now and it was easy to cut, easy to clean and did the job well.. The handle feels solid and at the end of it i just threw it in the dishwasher....
