The second book in the Knight Owl set. Knight Owl is now captain of the Night Watch and a new recruit, of sorts, arrives to stir things up. The illustrations in this set are just... WOW! A lovely read-aloud story book for the 2-6 year Littles. The story covers a lot of ground with a brief amount of text. The pictures tell the tale. Perfect for any classroom or home library. Definitely suitable for gifting.

Another Knight Owl story from this incredible author and illustrator! The little owl who becomes a Knight, and now the pesky early bird who learns to accomplish her dreams too, are the best characters! The story is engaging, the artwork has unique perspective and detail, and the it's a hit with kids of any age as well as adults. I hope this author continues creating new stories and adventures. Highly recommended.

My nephew loved the Knight Owl, which I gifted him for his birthday when it was first published. I too have enjoyed reading it with him several times. When I noticed a sequel just before another birthday came around, I knew he had to have it. The story and illustrations are as endearing as the first book. From the first read, it encouraged a sweet conversation about friendship and valuing each other for our individual gifts. Highly recommended!

Very well written and illustrated. If you have not read the original I would suggest you get that one. If you have it's on par with the first. Cute, entertaining and hold lessons. Just a fantastic children's book.

This was a wonderful sequel to the original tale of Knight Owl. In turns charming and hilarious with wonderful illustrations, he gains a friend who is the perfect example of how good friendships balance one another and work together towards a common goal even when we aren’t exactly the same. I highly recommend this series for youngsters. I purchased the first book when it came out and this one on release as well. My nieces were 4/5 respectively when the first book came out and are just turning 5/6 now. Excellent age for these books. I also enjoyed the story and illustrations myself! I hope the author keeps the adventures of little Knight Owl and his friends going.

The original Knight Owl is my favorite book to read to my son. I quickly signed up for the pre-order of Early Bird. My son is now 2, and absolutely loves this book too! I would say that the first one is still my favorite, but this is an excellent sequel. The wolves are a bit scarier than I would have liked…a bit much for a 2 year old. But this book is fun to read and beautifully and masterfully illustrated with the same nuanced details and has the same gusto that we as parents can inflect into the story telling itself. Our son goes about his day saying “stoppity stop stop!!” Please keep this series coming, but revert to having Knight Owl be the primary and endearing strong protagonist as he was in the first book.

This book is absolutely adorable and I love it. I bought it for myself as much as for my kids. The art is gorgeous.
