This is THE tool to create tight or loose waves. One of my favorite things about it is the cooling fan that makes it so everything sets and you don’t end up getting so hot while doing my hair for the day. Also having a straightener that stays closed in the resting position is a game changer and time saver. You don’t have to squeeze the plates together which makes styling so easy.

I was very happy with the results after first use. I used it for straightening, and giving a curve at the end of my long bob. It gave me exactly the results I wanted. I don’t feel like the heat was actually hot enough, as compared to my Amika flat iron, but my hair was smooth, and the straightener was easy to hold and use. My only concern is, the clip seems to be loose, or not as tight as I’m used to with a regular culling iron, or flat iron. Is it supposed to be a light hold, and the user controls the pressure on the hair? That’s my only question and concern. I don’t know if mine is defective or if it is supposed to be like that. And responses will be helpful.

The review below was my previous review but now that I have practiced using it I really like it! For the heat part , it does get hot but when you are straightening your hair you have to hold the end and press the plates together for it to work good. The curling function is awesome, you just can’t use it like a traditional curling iron. I still feel like the setting buttons are a problem because I do still keep hitting them and they change very easily . This did not meet my expectations. On full heat it does not get as hot as my flat iron does on half the heat setting. It also does not clamp on to the hair very tight. Another problem I’m having is where the setting buttons are located. The buttons are sensitive and while I’m trying to do my hair it’s almost impossible not to keep hitting the buttons which changes the settings.

I have long hair that doesn't hold curl well. I initially bought this curler from a Facebook ad about 3 years ago. Prior to using this curler, I used a curler with a rotating wand, which I like, but after I curled my hair in the 2nd story bathroom, my hair was almost straight by the time I got to the bottom of the stairs on the fist level. Since my previous curler was heat only, I used the highest heat to curl my hair in an effort to make the curl last a little longer. Because of this, I often had to have my hair trimmed to cut off the burned ends. After about 3 years of use, my other L'ange curler got a film on the curling plates from hair spray I use, and my hair was starting to stick to the plates. So, I decided to clean the plates. Since the film was kind of thick, I used a scrubby to get it off. After cleaning, and getting the curler wet, it didn't work. So, I had to go back to using the rotating curler until I got the order for this one. I was not a happy camper!! Surprisingly, my loved L'ange curler needed only to dry and the next day it was working again. So, now I have this one as a backup. This is fine with me since I don't want to be without this curler again. What I love about this curler is: 1) I don't have to use the highest to get a nice curl. 2) Since the fan cools the curl as you go, the curl lasts much longer than with other heated curling irons. 3) It doesn't take long to get used to using this curler for the curl you want. For me, I curl the top of my hair, which is shorter, in 3 sections. After I brush it out, I use the curler to modify the curl until it lays the way I want it to. I curl the longer hair in two sections pulled to the front to smooth the hair and get curl only at the ends. It can take a little practice to get the curl you want. Small sections will produce more curl for each section. Larger section are fine if you want smoothing of the hair and a little curl only at the ends. The trick is to turn the curler as you move it slowly down the hair strands and hold it a little longer at the ends for more curl. The longer you hold it, the more it curls. I do like the fact that it has a cooling option and heat adjuster. The sound of the cooling does not bother me. I love the color of the blush pink, it's lightweight and it glides well through my hair. My problem with it is, which is the main reason I bought it, was the curl falls out fairly quickly. I part my hair and do one side at a time, and by the time I get done with one side, and move into the next, my first said has already started to fall out when I'm done with my hair. I was very disappointed in it because it didn't hold curl and my hair does hold curl naturally. I really thought that it would work wonders knowing it is a Lange product. I'm tempted to return and just go with a wand from a different brand. Can anyone help me with this, or should I just return it?

This is the best tool I have ever bought My hair doesn’t hold curls well at all. Strait long and thin strands. This tool really locked in the curls and left my hair soft, not damaged at all. I didn’t even use any hair spray. Held the curls overnight. They look just as curly as the night before. I love the fan. This product really works. Love the long cord as well Well worth the money. I was skeptical but I strongly recommend !

I bought this for use in Australia, to find that it arrived with a USA plug. Therefore had to purchase an adapter to use. For other Aussie users, please be aware. I havnt used the product yet, so can’t review the actual product.

I've tried many different straightening/curling irons. By far, this one is the best. Heats up quickly, curling lasts, easy to use for arthritic hands. The only thing is the fan is loud. But that's ok, it works great!
