I am a huge, HUGE fan of La Roche. This skin cleaner is my go to for washing my face daily. For this price, you can't beat it and I solely order it on Amazon as it is the cheapest option for the amount you get. I use it every day, and only use a dime size amount of product and it covers my entire face because it lathers SO well. There is no unwanted fragrance, but it does have a slight smell but it is definitely not unpleasant. The product comes out clear and laters into a nice sudsy product. I've never had problematic skin, but I have always had extremely oily skin. This cleanser takes care of that and leaves me about 80-90% oil-free after working a 12 hour shift at the hospital. I also don't wear make up to work. Since using this cleanser, I rarely get any pimples and when I do, they go away relatively quickly. The only problem that I have with this cleanser is that it can be drying and will sometimes cause some dry patches around my face. Because of that I just use a heavier moisturizer specifically at night (or I will apply some Aquaphor on the dry patches). I can't speak for pore control, as I haven't noticed the worsening or decrease in pore size or amount. If you also have big pores, I really recommend pairing this cleanser with an oil based cleanser and double cleansing once every other night (or every night, if your skin doesn't dry out). Unfortunately I am still on the hunt for a good oil-based cleanser that minimizes pores to pair well with this.

Knocked off a star because it’s just not the right fit. I have combination skin (which I guess has gone more to the dry side) and have tried a wide variety of cleansers. I’ve used the LaRoche Posay normal-to-dry non-foaming cleanser for years. It’s great and affordable, and my skin gets oily at times so I decided to try this one from the line. Pros: It’s fragrance free Didn’t irritate my sensitive skin Value for the money Pump works well/doesn’t leak Great cleanser for oilier skin. Con: It left my skin feeling tight. It’s just the wrong formula for me now that I’m in my 40s. I’ll give it to a friend or family member with oilier skin, they’ll love it.
