My husband and I like to travel with our dogs. We often stay in rental homes. Almost all of the rental properties that allow dogs require them to be crated when unattended which is more than fair. I've always used collapsible wire crates, which is what my dogs are trained in as puppies. And my dogs are not bothered by crates at all. But when we rented a condo in Colorado that was on the third floor and there was no elevator, we became keenly aware of how cumbersome and heavy those wire crates really are! We breathlessly lugged those things up those stairs and I realized on that day, that something had to change. Enter: The soft folding crate. There are just about as many soft crate options out there as there are dogs to use them. I knew that I was looking for something that was relatively light weight AND folded down to the smallest package possible. This one caught my eye straight away. Since this company was having a "lightening sale" on these crates at the time, I was only allowed to order one in the gray that I wanted. But I found that I could order another crate, as long as it was a different color...so I went with black. That's fine with me. The price was fantastic! I have to say that this is one of the best designed collapsible items I've ever seen. It sets up in a snap, using no tools. It breaks down equally easily. It takes less than a minute to set up, and less than a minute to take down. But it's super sturdy once assembled. It's VERY impressive in that way. The designers thought of everything. The crate opens in the front and on two sides. The top also opens and I have found that the crate is most easily assembled from the top. Each panel that opens rolls up and secures open with Velcro tabs. The back of the crate is solid and has a pocket and an elastic strap there, and also a small hole to administer treats through if you are training a dog to get used to it. While my dogs have been crate trained since puppy-hood, I did use the little hole and treats to introduce them to this crate since it's different. I want them to be totally comfortable in there so when we travel, they won't be ambushed by something new, and left alone somewhere in a crate that frankly, they can get out of if they want to. OK, so lets talk about the elephant in the room. This is a SOFT CRATE. The zippered panels are mesh. Any dog who wishes to, can easily chew his way out of this crate...this one as well as any other soft crate. Soft crates are for trained adult dogs who are not anxious when left alone. I can't imagine putting a puppy in this crate, although some people doing that with success. But if you put a puppy or an anxious adult dog in this and are surprised that they ate their way out of it...shame on you. It's not the dog's fault...or the crate's fault. It is not appropriate for these kinds of animals. The crate comes with a nice pad that Velcros to the floor of the crate. I added an extra pad because my dogs are spoiled and like a cuhsy life. But it's not really required. I included a lot of pictures which hopefully are self explanatory and add good aid to this review. I can't attest to the general durability with normal use yet, but these crates seem to be very well made. Worth noting here is this: soft crates do not provide safety for the dog while traveling in the car other than just confinement. Hard-sided crates are safer for car travel. If your dogs are well trained and comfortable with being left alone...and if you travel and don't like to lug heavy crates around...this is a must buy!

The setup is like a tent. It comes with a carrying bag and is easy to pack up. It is very sturdy, and my GSD stays in it at night in our bedroom and when we travel we can bring it along. He's almost fully grown, but this crate is more than large enough - he might even be able to go a size smaller. The included crate pad is rather flimsy and contains packing foam as the padding. When we took out the foam to wash the casing my pup stole it and ripped it up.... so RIP. I think it would have lasted a good while if not for that!

I bought this collapsible dog crate for my Great Pyrenees puppy, and it has been fantastic. Not only is it spacious enough for my large dog, but it also survived the teething stage without any issues—something I was really worried about. My puppy tried to chew on everything, and this crate held up perfectly. The 4-door design is super convenient, allowing easy access and ventilation from all sides. The durable mesh windows provide good airflow and visibility while also being tough enough to withstand puppy teeth. It's also incredibly easy to fold up when not in use, which is perfect for storing away or traveling. Pros: ✔️ Durable enough for teething puppies ✔️ Spacious and comfortable for larger dogs ✔️ Easy to set up and fold away ✔️ Multiple access points with the 4-door design ✔️ Breathable mesh windows for good airflow ✔️ Portable and lightweight, great for travel Final Thoughts: If you have a large breed dog or a puppy in the teething phase, this crate is definitely worth it. It’s held up through rough chewing and gives my dog a safe, comfy space. I highly recommend it for both indoor and outdoor use!

This was a huge help during the holidays. It was very easy to pop open and set up and my dog was super comfortable and had no problems sleeping in there. My only cons were that there's a lot of mesh areas and he was able to accidentally rip open a small hole in the mess just rolling around and playing in there. Also, it's not quite as easy to collapse as it is to open. But overall I think this is a great option for travel.

I’m honestly shocked at how this portable crate has to offer. The build is amazing. It’s sturdy and made of great materials. It’s extremely easy to set up. The framework is easy to build. There are multiple zipper options. The Sherpa mat is decent quality. However, I suggest replacing the inside with memory foam. There is a grounded leash inside. EASY TO PACK UP AND PUT AWAY. It took me less than a minute to disassemble and put away. I highly suggest this if all of the above strikes your attention. The only thing that worries me is the mesh outer. It’s tough but can be ripped from prolonged scratching and biting. This alone is definitely not for aggressive or large dogs.

We have no complaints about this crate—it’s been a great purchase! It was super easy to set up and just as simple to break down when we need to store it. The mesh windows are durable, and the whole crate is easy to clean, which makes traveling with our mini golden doodle (~20 lbs) a breeze. We’ve used it in hotels and at other people's houses when he stays with a dog sitter. It creates a safe space for him wherever we go, just like his usual kennel at home. He seems to feel comfortable and secure in it. Overall, a reliable and practical crate that we would definitely recommend!

This dog crate is a game changer for traveling with your dog! We took this on a road trip where our dog was staying in a hotel for a few hours at a time. She immediately loved it the second we set it up. This is the easiest crate to set up and take down. The quality feels really good, seems like it will last for a while. It is a little bit heavy and bulky when it's in the bag, but not more than I would expect for the size of the crate. This will be your dog's new home away from home.
