But I use it more for notes than anything. It's an excellent piece of hardware, and I put a lot of thought between this, an Android tablet, or an iPad. At the end of the day, for my purposes, I went with the Kindle Scribe and have been excessively satisfied. It's much more function-oriented than an iPad or another tablet, and while it's only black-and-white, it has a fantastic battery life and performs all the duties I need it to. I've used it for reference material, I've imported inventory PDFs to take notes on, minutes for meetings, and of course reading regular books. Outside of reading, I purchased the tablet to fill a void I had in easy, portable note-taking and it's done just that. Most of my coworkers utilize an iPad and iPen for this, but they always complain about it dying by the end of the day, and the glass-like texture of the screen was a huge turn-off for me. Writing on the Kindle Scribe feels like you're writing on a piece of paper on a clipboard, which is exactly what I was looking for. The ability to write on PDF files has served excessively useful as well to the numerous note templates they offer. With the updates they've made since release, the variety of pen tips and ability to move notes around, draw, and highlight things is just amazing! Highly recommend this device to readers, office workers, and folks that like to take a quick sketch at the park when inspired. It's light, portable, and very long-lasting.

It’s exceptional for reading. The light softens at night. It’s the closest experience to reading from a book. The look and size of the page is great. Also, if you’re going to splurge on the Scribe, I’d strongly recommend a very nice cover. I started with a cheap cover and decided to splurge for the leather cover that can be sat up easily and spins in any direction. This makes it so easy to read in bed at night. The Scribe looks like a book page but with the cover it can be sat up to read and even turned a bit to balance on the bed. The writing is fine. I’m not as into it but it helps. It’s also heavy and the leather cover adds weight but I still take it everywhere. It has a huge library inside it. So the weight doesn’t matter to me I’ve had many kindles but could never read on them easily. The pages were small enough for me to get distracted. They just weren’t as easy as a book with the full page. This Kindle is so worth it. I love mine.

I initially experienced an issue with my Certified Refurbished Kindle Scribe. The first moments after opening the package and using the notebook function, the pen would start to write before making contact with the screen leading to illegible and messing handwriting. The scribe function was not working due to an issue with the pen. I contacted customer service via chat and was unable to find an easy solution to the issue: at first I was sent out pen tips but that was not the issue. Then I was informed that because the product was refurbished, I would need to send the entire product back and the only way to do that would be to have UPS pick it up from my home. That would be a big inconvenience to me because I work during the day. I would have preferred to drop it off myself at a UPS store if that was the only option. I left a review with a video of the issue and the very next morning a very kind Amazon Customer Support Representative reached out to me and quickly worked with me to get the issue resolved. I was informed that the correct information is: the product is certified and covered under warranty. I was able to get a new pen ordered and once the order was placed, the new pen was delivered the next day through Prime. The Kindle Scribe and Scribe Pen are working now perfectly. I am very happy with the Customer Service response that I received. I didn't know that Amazon cared that much about my experience as a consumer but they really do. I felt that the issue was quickly and easily resolved. Thank you Amazon and Amazon Customer Service ! I have faith again in the products that Amazon sells and the customer service provided.

The Kindle Scribe has its strengths, especially with the larger, clear E Ink screen and note-taking capabilities, which make reading and annotating easy. The display is sharp and comfortable on the eyes, ideal for lengthy reading sessions without causing strain. Plus, it still offers the convenience of an entire kindle library at your fingertips, giving you access to countless books in one device. However, it’s definitely on the bulky and heavy side, making it less practical to carry around. It’s not something I can take with me anywhere, and reading while lying down is challenging due to the device’s weight. While the added note-taking feature is nice, it’s also something I can easily do on my older iPad. Overall, the Kindle Scribe is a great choice if you prioritize screen size and note-taking, but it lacks the portability and ease that Amazon Kindle Paperwhite offer. Overall, Kindle Paperwhite is still my favorite.

I wish they did this without the support for the pencil, which is pointless for me.. I purchased the larger tablet because I couldn’t see the smaller tablet (eyesight) also felt more like reading and at your book rather than a Kindle which is okay but a little pokey. The text is very clear.
