Very easy to install through the wall and with the plug in feature made wiring the floodlights unnecessary.. Motion detection far superior to simply safe camera.. lights illuminate the entire driveway giving additional safety.

Just hooked it up 12/09/24. It’s a refurbished item but looks and works good, keep you posted on how it goes in the months to come.

Instructions were clear and it was easy to install and setup. Total time for me was only 30 minutes and the only reason it took so long was bc I had to move the existing mounting box a little. We bought a new (to us) house so I’ve switched out quite a few light fixtures by myself at this point. One thing this ring floodlight has that I wish every new fixture came with was a strap you clip on the mounting plate to hang the light from while you are connecting the wires. GENIUS!! If you’ve ever switched out a light fixture by yourself you know how hard it is to hold the fixture up while also trying to wrap and secure the wires-which is definitely a two-handed job. I usually end up trying to balance it with my head or try to get my arms to bend unnaturally so I can secure the wires. The strap idea was genius and I hope whoever thought of it is making bank on a beach somewhere (after they’ve shared it with all other light fixture manufacturers). I have another Ring floodlight camera on the front that came with the house so this one paired to my account seamlessly, did a quick update and it’s working great. Instructions suggest a bead of silicone around where it sits on/in the electrical box. So make sure you have some when you go to install. Ours is under the eaves and not on a wall but I still applied some silicone. Great purchase and can’t tell it was refurbished. If I start having any problems I’ll update.
