This product is solid, nicely made, sturdy & has allowed us to safely become a dog & cat owning household. We got the widest width one & it fits well across our upstairs hallway splitting the bedrooms off from the main house. I was concerned about having very young kittens & the space between the bats but the spacing was safe for even the smallest 4 wk old foster kitten. It was easy to assemble, the door swings open & closed nicely & the dark color matches the trim of the interior well (bonus!) The gate has to be opened using 2 hands - a pain when carrying things but smart from a safety & "unable to easily be opened by smart pets" perspective. Highly reccommend!! A solid solution for a variety of scenarios.

We have two 70lbs dogs that don’t get along and live in an open concept house. We’ve purchased 3 different sizes of this gate to divide our house and keep them apart. We reinforced the pressure mounts with screws and separately purchased heavy duty wall guards to assure no slipping. So far the gates are working perfectly. 1 gate is a bit difficult to slide the locking mechanism to open it but not a huge deal. 1 gate arrived with a broken lower latch, I messaged the company and they shipped out a replacement part within 2 days. The gates are heavy duty and strong, the only weakness I can see would be the plastic mechanisms wearing out in the future but not an issue at this time. Very happy with products thus far and like that they were easy to install and temporary so we can remove when no longer needed with only minimal wall repair.

This is a solid gate! I needed something to keep some of my cats separated (due to being FeLV+), but I wanted them to be able to see each other and not feel isolated. This works the same way as a normal baby gate, where it stays in place by pressure put on the wall. It's tall enough that my cats haven't even tried to jump over it. It is fairly heavy and very difficult to open with one hand, but this was expected and clearly stated that it was meant to be opened with both hands. It did take me a few tries to get used to opening it easily, but I got there and now I love it! It properly stays open when opened at 90 degrees and closes on its own when opened less than that (if it doesn't, it's likely that it was tightened too much against the wall and you simply need to loosen it a bit). As a note, I added some thin plastic (and attached with duct tape lol) so that my cats couldn't reach through and hurt each other, so the ugly plastic and black tape toward the bottom of the gate does not come with it lol. Just be sure you measure properly before buying and read the directions! Assembly is pretty straightforward, but make sure you follow directions for if you have an additional rod or not as they differ slightly. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It took longer than expected to ship (a couple weeks), but it was worth the wait. EDIT: the sliding button on top was a bit difficult for me to push open, so I eventually duct taped it so that I only had to lift the gate up and push to open it. Much easier for me to manage in my case.

I purchased 4 of these gates and for the most part had been fairly pleased with them...aside from them all coming with some form of damage such as dents, scratches, etc they seemed ok... I use pressure rods in the door jam above to heighten the distance for my high jumpers... Anyway, they are supposed to open in either direction and kinda push back and stay when opened... one of my gates does not stay as the hinge is defective and unfortunately this almost cost me the life of one of my elderly cats... she had tried to go thru the gate and bumped into it as she is blind and deaf and it slammed shut on her head... I was outside putting the trash out and came in to hear her gasping ... by the time I found her she was limp, blue, and lifeless!!! I had to rewatch the entire nightmare on camera to see what had actually happened and how long she was there... the screams, the blood from her foot trying to claw to get air, and the flailing is something I will never be able to unsee... she is 18 yrs old and if I had not gotten to her when I did she would be gone... I now use a heavy door stop evey time I use them in the open position but I feel people should be aware as to never have this happen to one of their babies... for the quality and condition they arrive in they are definitely way over priced but for safety purposes they definitely need better quality control and warnings... or maybe include door stoppers with the item if they can't ensure a product that's safe!

So here is the deal, it’s too short. I measured everything and now I still have to order an extender - it’s only 5 ft tall, I wanted 71’ inch but the company doesn’t make it and I had to order from this co because the leasing co approved their product. So I paid almost 300 and then I had to order another extension. And wall extensions all for the stupid 5gt tall gate. The extensions don’t even arrive for 13 days. So I am totally annoyed because I have to jump through hoops to get the full size I need. I do not like to work so hard at something that aaa supposed to make me happy, it should have come perfect and made md happy. I may have to return it and pay out of pocket for the gate from someone who sells the 71” - we’ll see. It’s an ok gate. But it just doesn’t satisfy me like it should have
