The MAONO Dynamic Microphone is an impressive piece of gear, especially considering its price point. As someone who uses microphones regularly for podcasting and streaming, I’m thrilled with the performance this mic delivers. The sound quality is clear, rich, and focused, capturing my voice with excellent clarity while minimizing background noise. One of the standout features is that this mic offers both USB and XLR connectivity. This flexibility is fantastic, as it allows you to use it with a wide range of devices. Whether you’re plugging directly into your computer via USB for a quick setup or using an XLR interface for a more professional audio chain, this mic has you covered. The build quality is solid, with a sturdy design that feels durable and professional. It’s easy to set up, and the mic works well with various audio interfaces and mixers. I also appreciate that it’s versatile enough for different environments—whether I’m recording in a treated studio space or a less controlled setting, the MAONO Dynamic Microphone consistently delivers. What stands out the most is how it compares to other dynamic microphones at this price range. It holds its own against much more expensive options, making it a fantastic value for anyone looking to upgrade their audio setup without breaking the bank. Overall, if you’re in the market for a reliable, high-quality dynamic microphone with both USB and XLR options, the MAONO Dynamic Microphone is a great choice. Highly recommended!

I'm not an audio or mic expert but I got these specifically because I was looking for some professional looking podcast mics that had usb or xlr options because I initially needed the USB until I got a mixer to switch to XLR. I'm not one to just get the Sure SM7B just because it's supposed to be the best sounding mic. I listen to a lot of youtubers that use a variety of mics that sound great and I don't say hmm the Sure is far superior sounding. I say ummm I can't really tell the difference with a lot of them. And even if I can, unless it's very echoey or peaking usually it doesn't take away from the video to have a cheap mic. I also watch several podcasts who use the Rode PodMic which you can get used for way under $100 and that one also sounds great. And these are big podcasts like Valuetainment. In fact, except for the fact that I wanted both USB and XLR and that I liked how these MAONO mics looked, I probably woulda gone with the Rodes. What I'm saying is that I feel like I could use these MAONO mics into the future for a professional podcast and not have to upgrade because they sound great, look professional, are are built like tanks. It's a great time to do podcasts and Youtube because there are many good cheap options and you don't need a $400 mic at all with the options out there. I recommend these MAONOs if you want the flexibility of USB and XLR. It came very useful to me when doing different kinds of videos. The usb was plug and play, and the XLR is gonna be for more professional use with mixers and multiple mics. So as you grow and when you need to upgrade... you won't have to because this mic will work for you.

I used this for about 2 weeks before deciding to return it. The reason being is that it bought out the highs in my voice more than I had hoped for. However it performed very well in most my use cases and even during blind tests with friends, they believed this to be one of the better sounding mics each time. If you need something which you can plug and play, this is the mic for you. I personally wasn't using the USB port(besides initial testing), and opted for the XLR which connected to a Wave XLR. During XLR mode you cant really make use of the mic mute button, and you won't have access to the application provided by maono. Which isn't a deal breaker, just thought I should mention it. I managed to snag this for around $92 shipped with discounts, that felt like a very good deal. No problems with setup, was up and running under 3 minutes mounted on a boom arm. The pop filter you get is decently thick, so this means it will actually be effective. No problems, the mic just wasn't for my taste!

The PD400 is an excellent microphone for both podcasting and music. If you’re looking for something with outstanding quality, professional sound, and an affordable price, this mic is a top choice. I compared it to the Shure MV7X, and the sound quality is comparable, if not better. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. For me, the PD400 stands out because of its bright sound, which perfectly complements my lower voice by adding just the right amount of clarity and brightness. I highly recommend it—100%!

I listened to a lot of reviews on YouTube before purchasing this item and it really paid off. Great sound quality and the flexibility offered by the software is fantastic. Also a few of the most important options such as high pass filter can be invoked via switches on the back. If you like you can use it as an XLR microphone if you later purchase a mixing board / amplifier but I don't feel compelled to do that. I use it for Zoom meetings but I think this is high quality enough for podcasts as well. It seems to be designed to be a substitute for a Shure MV7 or MV7+.

My usage - Dubbing and Voice-over I bought this mic after a careful review of a lot of mics in the market - Blue, Rode, Fifine, Fduce, HyperX, Shure. The build quality is solid and the voice you get from this is next to Shure SM7B. I only used this on USB, im sure it will sound even better on XLR. The customer service has been amazing in resolving my questions promptly. Overall more than satisfied with my purchase.

Sehr hochwertig

but as a voice over, the best comments are from clients who tell me things like "wow, you sound great!" or "your new gear sounds so much richer and clear!"... even while i game, i get comments like "you have by far the clearest mic i have ever heard" (<<< even though my friends use yeti's and shure sm7b's lolol)
