MDF instruments have a unique niche. They produce high quality stethoscopes with relatively low cost. These instruments absolutely appropriate for primary care settings and give good quality sound during auscultation.

Functional, well-constructed and sturdy, it worked great to check our chronic allergy cat's lungs for congestion. This is a great value for the money.

The hearing of my heart was loud and clear. Only one problem when I was trying to remove the plastic cover it came apart and it took awhile to back together but I love it I can hear the abdomen sounds and heart and breathing well worth it

My littman bit the dust, so I was looking for a replacement, but I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg to replace it. I found this at a very affordable price. Reviews were good. Quality and comfort were good. I liked that it wasn't heavy. Color and design are as pictured. However, I have very sensitive hearing, and I couldn't hear clearly enough to be able to distinguish what I was listening for and background noise. I ended up returning and purchasing one of their cardio stethoscopes that has much better clarity, for me anyway. Still a good buy if you don't want to spend a lot and you don't have super sensitive ears.

I wanted to buy a stethoscope for school and it's lightweight, no where near as heavy as the school provided one! You can hear a little bit better on this one too so it's definitely a great starter stethoscope! The infection control extra pieces they put with it to make it were great too!! Also, it comes with a lifetime warranty and free replacement parts so you can't beat that!!

I had seen some reviewers saying the stethoscope they received was defective and they couldn't hear a thing. I ordered anyway, and then when I got mine and took it out of the box, I couldn't hear a thing. Absolutely nothing. Tried both the diaphragm side and the bell side, dead silent. I was all set to pack it up and return it, then thought, I suppose I should at least look at the instructions, just so I can say that I did. I mean, it's a stethoscope, you put it in your ears and listen, right? How complicated could it be? It's not complicated, but there were a couple important things I missed. For one thing, I had the earpieces in the wrong way. What the instructions showed looked "backwards" to me, like they would fall out of my ears. Nope, they stay put, that's the right way to do it. But the bigger thing was that to switch between diaphragm and bell, you don't just flip how you're holding it in your hand. You have to twist the bell/diaphragm on the piece of metal it's attached to. And I had to use just enough force to make me worry a little that I might break something. I think when it arrived it was set halfway between the diaphragm and the bell, so that neither one was properly seated for listening. Which would explain why I couldn't hear a thing on either side. Once I actually followed the instructions (go figure), I tested it again and the sound is LOUD! Be careful removing the diaphragm or bell after placing them. I would suggest not removing it too quickly, and try lifting one side first rather than all at once. If I'm not paying attention, the sound can be loud enough to hurt my ears a little. I've found that the tubing and the end piece create a lot of self-noise. It's taking me some practice to find a way to hold it so the stethoscope itself doesn't create so much noise, and to distinguish the sounds the stethoscope makes from the sounds actually produced by the body. This is for my personal use, so I couldn't say if it's good for professional purposes. It's the only stethoscope I've ever owned (unless you count childhood toys), so I have nothing to compare it to. If there are other models/brands that have less noisy tubing, those might be better for healthcare workers. But as long as you follow the instructions, it works well and the sound is loud and clear.

Lightweight and comfortable around the neck. Works well and decent quality. Heart and breath sounds better than disposable stethoscope but not for new learners as much of sound is not clear/dampened compared to other true medical grade stethoscopes. Works in a pinch/ as extra
