***UPDATE: This charger lasted 2 weeks short of a year. I guess I see why Apple costs more.*** Original Post: I was looking for a charger that charges quickly and didn't break the bank. After reading a number of reviews I found this one and it doesn't disappoint. I bought this for charging at work (I'm using the stock charger at home) and have now been using it with my new MacBook Air for the last month and it is working like a charm. However, when it first arrived I tried it out and I thought I had plugged it in but didn't get a charge. I thought I had a defective unit but then I realized that it needs to be pushed in with relative force until you hear an audible "click" and then this thing charges up from a dead battery in about an hour and a half to two hours. I was a little surprised that it needed that much pushing power but it has now loosened up after the first couple uses and I actually like that locks in to be nice and secure in the charging port. The cord is pretty long too, which is what I wanted. Both the cord and charger feel like high quality and I expect this to hold up over time. Overall I am very pleased I didn't have to part with $100 for Apple's version.

Nice chargers when you don't want to spend a fortune on OEM Apple chargers. Been working great with no issues.

I picked this unit up because I wanted to have a spare charger for my new laptop (Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8) so I could keep the stock one at the house and leave the new one at the location where I spend my days during the week. Worth noting is this laptop comes with a 300 watt AC adapter/power supply stock, so the little charging block I use for my phone wasn't going to help much. To be clear, I don't take advantage of most of the power this laptop can demand and I don't play any games at all, but the power draw still sometimes touches 90 watts or so on my copy of Linux (KDE Neon). I did upgrade the DDR5 RAM from 16 to 32GB and added a second NVME drive, but nothing else has changed in terms of power demand (I keep the NVIDIA graphics off through via the BIOS). So far, this charging block has been able to keep my laptop charged through continuous use, which includes mainly business related activities with light graphic design and very light coding. I have not run into any problems yet. Yes, like some others have mentioned, the charger has a tendency to run a bit hot after a while of continuous demand, but it isn't to the level that I would consider problematic and I've seen much worse. I feel like I have gotten what I paid for and would recommend this device for a purpose like mine. It's much cheaper than other options but seems to perform equally as well.

Works great for my MacBook. I needed a second cord for work while doing photography. Works well.

I ordered this charger to provide power to a "USB C Hub, PretiHom 11 in 1 USB C Docking Station with 4K HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, 4 USB, 100W Type C PD". I am using to use "hub" to connect WiFi and other peripherals to the "hub" and charge my "HP spectre 360 x15" laptop with only one cable connection to my laptop. It seems to work for that. I ordered a "Wiredge USB C to USB C Cable 5A PD 100W LED Display Cable 4ft QC5.0 PPS Super Fast Charging Type-C Phone Nylon Braided Charger Cord 480Mbps Data" to connect to my laptop. I selected this cable because of the LED display in watts. The charger unit does provide enough power to charge the laptop connected to the Thunderbolt USB C port. Not all Laptops can charge through a USB C port. I charged the laptop from about 71% charge to full charge and when charging the laptop the LED display on the cable shows 50-80 watts of power. Once the laptop was fully charged it shows 25-35 watts of power, to maintain the charge while still using the laptop. The cable does not get hot, but the charger itself does get hot. During charging the charger got very hot to the touch, once the laptop was fully charged the charger was only warm to the touch, and it kept the laptop fully charged while the laptop was in use. I bought the charger because of the 118 watt power capability, most laptops need at least 65-95 watt chargers. This charger works, but the "very hot" deal while charging concerns me, but this is just the first use. Until I am confident that the charger won't excessively overheat, I will not charge or leave it plugged in unattended. Edit: I have used the charger for 3 days, it still gets very warm to the touch, when using the laptop, it settles down when not putting a load on the laptop, but it does the job.
