The flashlight is a good design and works well. The flaw is that it requires 4 button batteries which are a pain to source and are short lived. A slightly longer/larger design that uses AA or rechargeable integral batteries would be a big improvement.

The magnet and flashlight are useful. I am constantly dropping items, or pets are shoving items under couch. The flash light lets you see what you dropped, and the magnet can pick up anything magnetized. You have the ability to make longer reach, and even if you arent picking up something magnetized you can usually move whatever you need with the bottom piece. The only suggestion I have is check measurements to see if this is long enough for you. I think one that had longer reach capabilities might be needed for some people.
