Let me just start by saying that if coffee were a superhero, Mayorga Organics Coffee Cubano Roast would definitely be wearing a cape made of dark roast beans. This 2lbs bag of magic not only promises to kick-start your day but also has enough intensity to wake up the neighbor’s cat—no joke! Upon opening this glorious bag of 100% USDA Organic and Non-GMO Verified goodness, I was hit with a wave of aroma so rich it could probably win a reality show about fragrances. I’m talking about the kind of smell that makes you want to hug the bag and whisper sweet nothings to it. "Oh, Mayorga, you complete me!" Once I finally peeled myself away from the bag, I decided to brew a cup. The brewing process was like a slow dance—smooth and sultry, with just the right amount of anticipation. And let me tell you, the first sip was nothing short of a flavor explosion! It was like my taste buds threw a party, and everyone was invited: chocolate, caramel, and just the right amount of smoky notes. If I could marry a beverage, I’d be on a honeymoon with this coffee right now! ☕💍 Now, I should probably mention that this coffee is labeled as Dark Roast, and oh boy, it lives up to that name. It’s not just dark; it’s like the night sky on a moonless evening. One cup in, and I was ready to tackle the day like a caffeinated superhero. I was suddenly proficient in everything—work, cleaning, even tackling that long-forgotten DIY project I had been avoiding (you know, the one involving a shelf, a drill, and lots of hopeful YouTube tutorials). And let's not forget the direct trade aspect; this coffee has got ethics! Sipping this brew not only perks you up but also makes you feel like you're part of a great movement—like a coffee rebel fighting against the tyranny of mediocre brews everywhere. So if you're tired of waking up feeling like a sloth who just ran a marathon, grab a bag of Mayorga Organics Coffee Cubano Roast Dark Coffee. It’s not just coffee; it’s a life-changing experience packed into a 2lbs bag that promises to turn your mornings from "meh" to "let’s seize the day!" Your taste buds—and probably the entire neighborhood—will thank you! 🦸‍♂️☕🌍

Coffee... it's a very personal experience. What I may like, you may not... and vice versa. THIS one though, wow. I've never been a big believer in organics. I understand the idea behind organics and its sound, but I didn't really believe that organic anything was better tasting than scientifically grown produce... until now. I like coffee... actually I love coffee. If you wake up to a fresh pot of "name brand" coffee brewed with pre ground beans thru a white or brown paper coffee filter with tap water you are doing your taste buds and your stomach a serious disservice. Everyone likes to think they are a coffee connoisseur. I'm here to help, not criticize... there is a big difference. Let's get started with just the basics. Coffee contains oils, lots of oils, and acid, a bad thing. Do you or have you ever seen the foam on top of a freshly brewed cup of coffee? That's the result of acid in the bean after processing (roasting) the bean. It creates the bitter taste you may have experienced if you were paying attention. It's the result of an inferior bean, period, regardless of what anyone says, it's simply an inferior bean. I'm not here to debate this fact so if you dissent don't bother here I don't have time to respond, if you are still reading please listen closely so I can tell you how to make the BEST coffee you can make, period. There are two methods... first is the French Press with pre filtered or spring water and freshly ground beans which were kept in the refrigerator, not the freezer. Look it up on YouTube. It is the purest form of coffee you can make and is exceptionally cheap and the most wonderful cup of coffee you can imagine. Coming in a close second is coffee that is made with a brewing machine that offers these few things... 1. a charcoal filter for your water, 2. a grinder built into your coffee maker and 3. a metal filter. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE A PAPER FILTER if you want best you can get. A paper filter will instantly soak up the oils off of the beans you chose to spend so much of your hard earned money for and ruin what would have been a wonderful cup of coffee. You get it now right? If you've made a cup of coffee black and poured it into your cup and seen a floating substance on the top of your coffee, its not because the cup is dirty, its the oils off of the beans themselves... its flavor in and of itself... its what you are paying for. You don't want the foam, it's acid... what you do want however is the oily look on top of your cup of coffee, the desirable oil of flavor that you paid for. NO PAPER. This particular blend of Organic coffee is absolutely amazing and far past a steal at this price for an extremely low acidic and Organic blend... extremely underpriced as it should be priced at $30/lb.... its low acidity (undetectable to my taste) and quality flavors are second to none period. In my opinion I find that real Kona coffee is underwhelming compared to this. I know this sounds like a stretch but its not even close IMO. IF IN FACT this company stays true to form, I will not buy another coffee.

As a coffee enthusiast, I’ve tried countless subscriptions, always chasing the perfect espresso. Dark roasts don’t cut it, so I was thrilled to find Mayorga Coffee on Amazon—finally skipping the hefty shipping fees. Buying coffee on Amazon is usually a gamble—stale, dry beans are the norm—but these arrived fresh, glossy, and packed with flavor. The rich crema was a great sign, and the first sip took me straight back to Chiapas, Mexico—bold, earthy, and lightly fruity. For the price, it’s a fantastic espresso blend—vibrant, balanced, and a steal compared to specialty subscriptions.

I have been on the search for a clean decaf bean to use in my espresso maker. I thought I would try this one since it’s so highly rated and available at costco.com for a great deal. I was blow away by the quality! I used in my Ninja Espresso Lux machine on grind size 8 and it was PERFECT. Coming from someone who has acid reflux, I had zero issues with these beans. No bitterness and the pulled shot was rich and creamy! No jitters either, which is exactly what I was looking for. A+++

This is about the best coffee I have found. I have traveled and searched in Jamaica and Kauai, HI. I have visited the northwestern cities of the US; known for their coffees and brands. I have sampled many coffees from around the world. This coffee is at the top of my list. Try this coffee and you will taste a smooth bold flavor. This coffee is organic and well packaged for preserving the freshness, even after opening. I absolutely enjoy every cup! DLM TN

Coffee is a personal thing. What I enjoy you may not. I can tell you that I went back for a second cup and will buy this again. Freshness:. Let's start here. The coffee arrived with plenty of time prior to best before date. The coffee beans are oily. (Not the best proxy for freshness but still a win.). The real tell tale sign I find is does the coffee bloom on first contact with water. This didn't. It's not super fresh. However, I put a handful of beans in a ziplock bag overnight and pushed out all the air and sealed. The bag was puffed up a bit in the morning with air. These are definately not stale. Ok, flavor is a personal thing so I won't dwell here. It a medium to full body flavor. Because they are a darker roast you get that bite at the beginning. I find for my tastes this coffee starts nice but fizzles out and lacks a great finish. The coffee is smooth with a desirable flavor. If you like Sumatra, or other Indonesian coffees you will likely enjoy this too. I find this very comparable to Peruvian Cafe Femenino but without the awesome finish. The oily texture of the beans is good news for those of us using a French press, or a mocka pot. If you're brewing this in a drip coffee maker I recommend anything other than a paper filter as it will negate the awesome oily nature of these beans. Use a gold filter. That said, this is a fantastic value for the quality you get vs. The price. Especially when you consider it's organic, non GMO and 100% Arabica beans. Although I question whether this is single origin coffee or blended from combinations of beans. The fact there is no mention of this on the bag leads me to believe this is a blend. Given taste profile I suspect this is a blend of different Latin American beans. (What do I know?) All in all I will buy again as it is comparably priced to house brands of whole beans in the local supermarkets for significantly better quality. But it doesn't compare to buying freshly roast coffee from your local roaster, nor should you expect that buying coffee from a large online retailer like Amazon.
