This is my first experience with VR/AR/MR, as I chose to wait until the graphics were more impressive (actually, I've been waiting quite a long time... since VR conversations became fairly commonplace with the release of the Sega Genesis! Yeah... I'm that old.). I'm so glad I started with this unit (Meta Quest 3) because I was truly blown away right from the start! The setup process was easy enough, though it had its quirks (I used an e-mail setup since I don't use Facebook). In setting up the MQ3 via my phone, I noticed I had to close the app twice to get it to resume where it left off (when you close/reopen, it recognizes you were not done and resumes without issue, so try that if you get stuck). I've only had it for a few days and am blown away by the Batman app (I don't like fighting games, but this is mostly exploring with relatively little fighting), Red Matter (incredible experience; finished it yesterday!), Red Matter 2 (started today and am already hooked!), and I really love the Supernatural: Unreal Fitness program! The first two apps were free (Batman is included in the package I bought here, and Red Matter (the 1st one) came with the free Quest+ trial subscription, and I paid for the latter two. The Unreal Fitness program is $10/month, and totally worth it! You can't know/understand until you try it, and they do give you a free week trial, btw. I am a runner (all my life) and enjoy staying in shape, and this fitness program is amazing, as they drop you in different (beautiful!) places around the world, and the music is great and the movement patterns are really fun (honestly, I didn't think I'd like it at first, as it sounded boring... but I'm so glad I kept an open/curious mind and tried it out!). The graphics on the games is so detailed, right down to chipped paint and curling wallpaper on walls, etc... and I love the intuitive movements... I'm the guy who will squat down in these games to check under chairs and desks for clues, and it's just so amazingly realistic! I did begin to feel somewhat panicked the first time I crawled out of the window in Batman and looked down into the alley from several stories up (and when I entered that huge generator room in Red Matter), but that just added to the experience and believability, so I'm more impressed by it than bothered! In fact, I was so impressed with the overall experience that I bought a set for my wife (she likes it, too) and another for my parents so that they can try it out! Highly recommended! I also bought the Elite Strap Battery for more comfort and to add more play time and I'm glad I did, so consider getting one of those, too (or a similar device). Oh, and you'll need a rubber/silicone cover for the mask part (that touches your face) to protect that cloth from sweat (not sure why they put cloth there... odd). Anyway, enjoy! I certainly am!

I can't not give the Meta Quest 3 a 5 star review. Yes, the head strap is comes with is "meh" and you should definitely replace it ASAP (your welcome!) but aside from that minor annoyance, this device is truly incredible. Coming from a Gen 1 HTC Vive, which I eventually upgraded to a wireless solution later, the Meta Quest 3 still blows the Vive out of the water. Mixed Reality is the future. If this is what the Quest produces now, I can only imagine what we will have available in another 15 years. It's astounding. If you are on the fence at a $500 price tag please drive down to Best Buy or another electronics store and try it out. You will be blown away. I also really like that via Virtual Desktop (best solution for now...) I can still play my Steam VR games that I used with the Vive. That was a big selling point was to not have to purchase them again. Some of which I don't even think are available anymore. The device itself is sleek, light, and easy to handle. The controllers take a bit to get used to but soon become second nature. The interface is intuitive and easy to use. The games are fun. Some are incredibly fun. Watching movies and shows on a humongous screen is great. This is something that you want in your life. See ya'll in the virtual world!

I'll get straight to the points. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. *The Good* Excellent visuals. The graphics are awesome and the VR is so cool. The MR (Mixed Reality) is really cool too. With mixed reality you can setup a DnD table overtop of your own table. Large library of Games and Apps. Everything from Classic zombie games in full VR to MR and Zen apps to chill and relax you. Even have Duck hunt VR. Yes, someone made duck hunt in VR. The sound and video quality are really good good. Watching movies, anime and TV shows is really fun. It's like being in a theater without the sticky floors and the "aww snap! Nuh uh and oh hell naw!" Lol. Easy to setup and use. Easy to change the head strap if you want a comfier or cushion type one. Adding a compatible battery power bank is easy and suggested. *The bad* Quick battery drain. This is my only real issue. The battery drains pretty quick and even faster when using MR. But that can be offset by using a compatible battery power bank or a 20ft USB C cable. *The Ugly* I can't say much here. The price for many is pricey ands if you want to play games with your family, they each have to have their own head set. That can get very expensive. Unlike a console, you can't plug in a second controller and just go. Only you can see what's on your screen. This is definitely more of a solo system or making online friends type system. But if you can afford it, I suggest getting two for a family. *Bonus - The Awesome* Emulation 😁 Installing Retro Arch is easy and with 512GBs of room, you can install lots of classic games and play them. I know you can do that on a PC or buy a retro pie, but it looks so cool right on front of you and looking like it's a movie screen. With the help of SideQuest, you can install CX file explorer and then Retro Arch and copy your classic games from you PC to the Quest. And lastly for anyone asking or maybe those who don't have the extra cash after putting out the funds for this device. I can't recommend pirating, but a quick Google search for Meta and the opposite of mother can help you with that problem.

Play Video The Meta Quest 3 (512 GB) is a masterpiece of VR hardware and is a must have for existing VR enthusiasts and newcomers! The Quest 3 has a thin and comfortable design with an improved weight distribution from the last headset from meta (Quest 2). The lighter headset allows you to play longer without pressure on your forehead. Personally, I am coming from the Quest 2 and the difference is surreal. The jump in performance is immediately noticeable. The Quest 3 is powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 which delivers sharp visuals and fast load times! And the 512 GB storage ensures you have enough space for all the games you desire. The resolution of the LCD screen is 2064 x 2208 which is 30% more than the Quest 2! Not to mention the AMAZING PANCAKE LENSES! The switch from fresnel lenses on the Quest 2 is amazing. No more having to find the sweet spot when gaming! The pancake lenses were what mainly sold me on this headset. The mixed reality is extremely fun, although the library is limited. It's especially fun to switch from the real world to the virtual world. My favourite is using the mixed reality as I walk through my house taking advantage of the hand tracking. Here is the my main caveat, the battery life is not that long, which is only 2.2 hours on one charge roughly. The mixed reality activities will cut your playtime even shorter. Although you can get around this if you set your brightness low or turn on low battery mode. Another problem I find is the head strap, while the headset itself is comfortable on the forehead, the head strap around your head (Especially the back) can cause you to get uncomfortable at times, at least in my experience. Overall, for anyone looking to dive into a high end virtual reality experience I truly recommend this headset. While the price may seem high, the value it offers is undeniable. The inclusion of Batman Arkham VR is fun, I have been playing the game so far and it has exceeded my expectations. I hope you found this review helpful.
