I never thought that I'd ever need a freezer beyond the small one above my fridge due to living alone and not doing much cooking. That being said, in anticipation of the possible downturn in the economy, I decided that I needed to make more meals at home and freeze the excess, if possible, so that I wouldn't be eating the same thing five days or more days in a row. I love this freezer. It was easy to unbox and set up and had cooled down enough to start putting food into about two hours after plugging it in. It is quiet and compact enough to fit well in my small kitchen. All in all, I've been very happy with this investment.

I got the 3.5 cubic foot (New/2024) version of this freezer and it works great. The main difference from the older model seems to be that this one has a light on the inside on the lid, which works well for lighting up the freezer when it is dark. The temperature dial on the front also has a small green indicator light that does not seem to be present on the other model. The interior measures slightly smaller than the older version. It is around 17.5" long/across, 13" wide/front to back, and 19.5-27.5" deep. The 27.5" deep section is around 10.5" across and the 19.5" section is around 7" across. For the cost, it would have made more sense to get the 5 cubic foot model, but the exterior dimensions of fit our space better. It was reasonably packaged, but the box still arrived a bit beat up. It had a minor dent on the back corner of the lid, but it still seals well and works fine. But it does seem like damage in shipping is not uncommon. It barely makes any sound, and it is not noticeable at all except for a "click" occasionally when it turns on/off. I set it to the recommended temperature and it has kept everything well frozen, even after piling things up.

Really nice. Just what I needed for my apartment. Easy to setup in miunutes. It did arrived with a tiny bent at the bottom but that's due to delivers not being too careful... but no worries, it's not noticeable. I'm happy with the purchase. It took a couple of days to really start getting really cold so luckily I haven't placed any food in yet.

We purchased the 7 square foot freezer to store the over-flow from the kitchen refrigerator freezer. We were concerned that it would be too small, but it is the perfect size. We have room for many more items. The raised shelf on the right size will hold nine Ninja Ice Cream containers stacked in three rows, three containers high. It's great to have the shelf to keep them perfectly flat until they are frozen, then they can be moved, if necessary. We were worried that this freezer would be too small, but we have never come close to filling it. we think it has been a great purchase.

This freezer was delivered upright and in perfect condition on the outside. It's so beautiful. Waited a day before plugging it in and turning it on incase it was on its side at any point. It got to the set temp pretty quickly as well. The unit is very quiet. The only downside is that the control doesn't have any indication of what temps are for the settings. So I bought a separate freezer thermometer just to figure out what is what. Manual says not to use max freezer temp o.O??? And manual never mentioned what the temp ranges are for this unit. I'll find out when the thermometer arrives. Aside from the lack of temperature information, it's great. Update: wish the door had a better seal.

Play Video The fridge works pretty good. The size is not too big but I needed this exact size to serves my need. If you’re looking for a big fridge than this one is not for you. Looks just like a normal deep freezer and it was also not too heavy. There is no leakage as you can see its on the carpet. I have set the temperature in the half of the freezing area on the knob and works good. Doesn’t produce any noise and seems pretty durable as well. Love it.

I am an 80-year-old widower in a comfortable senior community. The apartment was furnished with a smallish refrigerator/freezer. Since I rely heavily on my personal chef, Marie C and her associates, freezer space has been at a premium since I moved here 2 1/2 years ago. I found myself missing out on very attractive sales simply due to a lack of freezer space. I had a convenient spot on the open wall in my kitchen, so I began looking for a small, well rated chest freezer to enable more convenient frozen storage. Amazon had quite a variety of 3 1/2 and 5 cu ft freezers from which to choose, and after more than enough deliberation, I settled on the Midea 3.5. The price was certainly attractive, and the reviews were good, so I ordered one. Free delivery was promised in less than a week, and Amazon even beat that. Two reps showed up on time and spotted the boxed unit where requested. The carton was completely unblemished and easy to remove from the unit with a box cutter. The freezer inside was protected on all sides by substantial Styrofoam forms. A brief instruction manual, frost scraper and warranty were in a plastic bag taped to the unit. The removable basket was also taped to the inside top to preclude damage from rattling around loose. All sides, top and the inside were in pristine condition. After removing all packaging and the few strips of transparent blue tape, I was ready to plug the unit to the wall receptacle and get the chill going. I planned to wait the prescribed couple of hours to enable the freon to settle, but I did want to locate the plug and ensure that it would reach the receptacle. Here things got a little tricky. Fortunately, in the course of my reading of prior user reviews, I learned that removing the cord from the lower rear of the unit required close examination of the closely fitted white on white enclosure to locate a small depression for use in opening the tight-fitting small door. I found the depression, found a way to quickly leverage the door open and released the plug and cord of sufficient length. I closed the door, easily moved the unit the prescribed 6 in. from the wall and after the few hours wait, plugged it in and listened for startup. I had read that the unit was quiet, but this thing is REALLY quiet. It was so quiet and vibration free that I wasn't certain it was running. After a couple of hours unattended, I returned, lifted the lid and looked at the thermometer I had hung from the removable basket. To my great delight, it already read near zero degrees F. Since that time a couple of days ago, I have ordered some stackable wire baskets to make locating and handling frozen items more convenient and placed a dozen or so initial items in the freezer, still in their plastic grocery store bags pending delivery of the new baskets. Once I get everything together and loaded and have some period to assess longer term satisfaction, I will update this review. Until then, I am completely satisfied with my utterly silent new white chest freezer.

THIS PRODUCT IS WONDERFUL. GOOD SIZE. COMES WITH SMALL BASKET. VERY QUIET MOTOR. BEING THAT THE TEMP CONTROL IS IN THE FRONT MAKES CLEANING EASIER. THERE IS A PORT WITH A PLUG TO UTILIZE WHEN YOU DEFROST 2X YEAR. MAKES DRAINING RINCE WATER VERY EASY TO EXIT. THE CHEST FREEZER IS REALLY LIGHT WEIGHT.. WELL WORTH THE PRICE. ALSO NO SWEATING ON THE EXTERIOR ON HUMID SUMMER. WE WILL DEFFENETLY RECOMMEND THE PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT.

I originally purchased a Hi Sense chest freezer but, after 3 days it stopped working. However, for a refund I have to pay for return shipping which was $534. Neither seller or Amazon would help with that issue. So, I bought this Midea chest freezer and it works perfectly. This is a great freezer and I am happy with the purchase. I would highly recommend this item.
