Our bagless vacuum that we've had for several is progressing getting more and more gutless. It just doesn't pick up even small lightweight bits. I grew up with bag vacuums and after some research found this Classic C1 Miele. We have a lot of hardwood floors in this new house and one of the reasons I decided to go with this model is because of those floors. The other was the "pure suction" description. I didn't care for the floorhead it came with. There is a vinyl strip that seems to have contact with the wood floors while vacking. This same head was horrible for our cotton area rug. EVen on the lowest suction and the tile floor setting, it roughed up the cotton and I ended up with a lot of lint. I ordered the Miele SBB 300-3 Twister Parquet Floorhead, spendy, but reviews sounded good, and it was worth it. And I just ordered the (shhh... a non-brand model) Turbo Head cleaner for that cotton rug and the rooms that have standard carpeting. The Parquet sweeps our hardwood and tile floors beautifully and I recommend it. They are cleaner than they've ever been with our old vacuum. The Turbo Head tool arrives tomorrow. It has rave reviews here on Amazon and I anticipate that it will work well. The vacuum itself costs more than any vacuum I have ever owned, and when you add the two additional floorheads it has been an expensive item. But, it is working extremely well (I don't even need the higher suction levels for most of what I do), it is lightweight and easy to move about the house (I'm retired, glad for that ease of movement) and seems quite well made, with high quality plastic than the previous (brand name not disclosed) vac I bought at a chain store. The various tools snap on and off easily. Overall I've spent about $425, but am satisfied with the product I now own, which matches our needs, and anticipate it lasting for years.

Minuses: Almost too light, but at least it's easy to carry Cord could be longer Tool caddy sort of gets in the way, especially since it moves around Pluses: Super affordable. I paid $700 16 years ago for a Simplicity, though that had a rug beater My floors are all hard surface so I don't need a rug beater. Fact is, I would never put carpet in my house ever again Easy to move around Super powerful suction - beats the Simplicity there. Picked up mounds of dog hair under the bed with the main tool attachment no problem and left virtually no hair stuck to the bristles Adjustable suction Wand collapses for storage or using on sofa

Nicest vacuum I’ve ever owned, by far. Quiet, strong, lightweight, and maneuverable. However, I wish I’d paid more attention to the fact that it doesn’t come with a rotating brush-type attachment or have the ability to power one except by suction. Most of my home is carpeted, including two stairwells, and the included attachment is completely inadequate. The only difference between the “carpet” and “hard flooring” settings on the included all-purpose attachment is the extension of static brushes to aid in gliding along floors. Without a spinning brush or wheels, even on low suction it’s a strong workout trying to force the vacuum across carpet, despite my carpeting being low-pile, and it’s hard to do an even job. The Miele branded brush attachment is around $200; I bought a highly-rated off-brand one for $20-something and it instantly improved the performance of the vacuum by leaps and bounds. Besides that, the vacuum is everything I’d hoped for and I have no regrets. It’s the first vacuum I’ve had that doesn’t trigger my noise anxiety, and it’s so much more pleasant to use than the upright it replaced. Just know that if you have carpet, you’ll need to get another attachment with a connector (or adapter) sized to fit a Miele.

I like to submit reviews after I've used a product for a while -- we live in world where so many things are built to break, and when you're paying this much for a vacuum, you want to know it will stand the test of time. First, this is the stripped-down version, but the sucking power is tremendous -- enough that it easily takes care of our hardwood floors, but also works for our heavy rugs, even a large "shag" rug. Lesser vacuums will use spinning rollers to move carpet fibers around, but I'm pretty sure that equal or superior cleaning can be accomplished just with the massive suction power of this vacuum. We love that it's also light and quiet. The simple attachments are well thought-out -- you can easily shorten or lengthen the working end, and the brush attachment is GREAT for cleaning window screens. After three years, the cord is still retracting like the day we bought it, and the suction is just as strong. Note that this is an investment, and to keep it healthy you probably want to go with miele brand bags made especially for this vacuum. They're pricey, and if you're plastic conscious, they have a plastic attachment on each bag. But the way they filter the air (along with the other filters in the vacuum) means that super-clean air emerges from the top of the vacuum. That's another plus, by the way -- the external air vent is on top of the vacuum. We've had other vacuums where it vents out the back, often blowing dust and dirt around. But straight up means that that doesn't happen. I'm trying to think of some cons, but after trying so many other lesser vacuums in the past and having so many break (cord not retracting, power button malfunctioning, etc.), we're just so happy with our "princess miele". A final note is that the three years of service from this vacuum haven't been gentle years -- we've gone through two moves, and loaned it repeatedly to a neighbor who didn't have a vacuum. It's been used pretty hard. As for me, I'd rather spend more on a product that not only works great, but stands the test of time. Ends up being cheaper on the wallet and easier on the landfills to not have to buy vacuums repeatedly (which is what we did before this -- once we bought two in one year!) If you're looking for an easy-to-use vacuum that kicks butt and keeps going strong, this is your baby.

Esta aspiradora es la segunda que tengo de la misma marca, la primera me duró más de diez años. Esta tiene mejor succión. La recomiendo ampliamente.

Love the design, love everything about this vacuum. It is easy to use, very lightweight, and most importantly does the job.
