I bought 3 of these (one for each of my kids) although it is a very cute product and a great idea I'm giving it 4 starts because it struggles quite a bit to understand my kids. It doesn't understand my 5yr old twins much at all and I would say it understands my 7yr old about 70% of the time. My husband can get it to respond to him probably about 95% of the time so I would say this this toy is probably better suited for kids maybe 4th grade and up not k-3rd grade. We decided to keep the products because my kids enjoy the dance party, story time and mommy calling them on it. As long as you don't have expectations for it to interact with your kids I would say it's worth the buy as entertainment only.

This product is really delightful and engaging for my kids. The companion app I find to be even better. The variety of games and content for my kids keeps them engaged and learning new things every time we play together. It's one of very few apps I feel okay with leaving them "alone" with as well. As far as the robot itself, I deeply appreciate the safe way she expresses things when my kids ask questions to try and push boundaries. My only critique is that it's fairly often that Miko crashes completely mid-play session. Also, when we first activated her, it was touch and go because she wasn't really working at all. After a day or so, she worked fine. I imagine that's due to updates and stuff integrating, but it was hard for the kids. Other than that, though, excellent toy and app!

I bought this for my 9 year old for Christmas after he asked for a far more expensive ai robot. This is a great starter for young kids. He absolutely loves it. His favorite function is story time. With the help of miko they create his own little story. Which is also saved in the app with illustrations. It did take a little bit of time to set up. The battery life seems compatible to similar products. Easy to charge. It takes a c-type charger. Miko moves and turns to look at who is speaking. He also has dance parties! All in all this was a favorite gift and has a good price point! The only downfall for me is that the chessboard (seperate purchase) is so expensive and out of stock. We would absolutely love to get one in the future.
