If you like Gadgets, you should get this one. I have had mine for more than a month, and it is perfect. Specifically, I really like the look and feel of equipment that serves a specific purpose and is practical. Before buying, I read through the entire product description and through many of the reviews. I always try to read through the 1-Star and 2-Star reviews first, to get an idea of what went wrong for others who made this purchase. Here is what I have come to learn about the Mountain Voyage Minimalist Wallet: This wallet is very durable and very handy. I would have to agree with the product description; Contemporary style with Elegant look and feel, Ultra-Slim & Light weight, Efficient, and Ideal for Everyday use. The money clip feature easily slides out (if you decide you don’t want to use it). I really like this new wallet. So… I bought one for my wife. She loves the simplicity of it and the fact that everything is handy. Much less compartmentalized than her previous wallet and less bulky, too. I also bought one for my son. And while he is still too young to be concerned about the ‘Everyday Carry’ he absolutely loves the look and feel of his new wallet. These wallets are wonderful! “Holds up to 15 Cards”. Okay… although this statement makes for great advertising, it is just a bad idea. Sure, I can stuff 15 cards in this device, but… “Why would I do that?” I’m trying to minimize my Everyday Carry (not just my wallet). For years, I have been carrying around a Big-Beefy-Burger-Style Leather Wallet just like my Dad. “What’s in my Wallet?”: 1 Government-Issued Driver’s License, 1 Bank Debit Card, 1 Discover Card, 1 MasterCard, 2 VISA Cards, 1 Wholesale Club Membership Card, 1 Wholesale Club Credit Card, 1 Health Insurance Card, 1 Health Insurance Credit Card, 1 Library Card, 1 Movie Theater Club Card, and 2 or 3 or 4 of those flimsy In-Store-Credit… cards. Okay, so that’s already about 15 cards. And this doesn’t even account for the paper money or all the little extras like pictures or lottery tickets. I was carrying around a lot of stuff. And to be honest, it was a lot of stuff that I rarely ever use. However, I gave it a try. I stuffed this new wallet with all 15 cards… and then tried to pry out… just one card… from the middle. Nope, that did not work so well. Fortunately, I was at home, so all 15 cards just fell onto my table. I had to take a moment to seriously consider, “how many cards do I really need?” I removed everything from my wallet. I set it all out on my table and asked, “what do I really need to carry in my pocket (on a daily basis)?” I quickly separated what I need from what I don’t… and then continued to minimize from there. The Answer: I only really need about 3 cards and some cash (not a lot): My Driver’s License, My Debit Card, One Credit Card, and a few bills (for just-in-case). As I reloaded my new wallet with these few cards, and folded a couple of $20s into my money clip, I remembered that the whole point of the Everyday Carry concept is to minimize the amount of stuff I’m carrying around every day. And this wallet is a perfect solution. I have less to carry. And I haven’t missed any of the extra stuff I use to carry around with me. I highly recommend this wallet for anyone who is interested in carrying around less and being just as effective. I don’t necessarily recommend this wallet as a gift. This is simply because a wallet can be a deeply personal item. It is something that someone carries with them (almost) daily (sometimes for years). Make sure you ‘know your audience’ before you buy something like this. I would also point out that, ‘yes’, the straps are designed to hold cards tightly into place. This is by design. And because of this design, it should also be understood that getting cards out will require a measure of dexterity. I don’t have a review or recommendation for the wooden wallet or leather wallet options. I hope this review helps you. And I hope you have a Wonderful Day!

My newly adopted EDC: - As a fan of Carbon Fiber, bought the one with carbon fiber plates and "I love it" - Holding a lot of cards as you see in the pics - Able to slide the cards easily both "in and out" - "Nice and trim" and slips easily in to my denim pockets... Chic! - Cash strap holds cash "Nice and tight" and wouldn't slip - Recently bought it and has quickly qualified to be my EDC - Started showing off my newly adopted EDC to my family and friends and started spreading the word around - I am fan of "Titanium" too and soon planning to buy the one with Titanium face plates... - Overall "Nice, lean, strong and Chic"! - Giving 5 ⭐!

I wanted to try one of these minimalist hard-sided wallets for a while, and this one came with an option of a strap instead of a money clip, which is what I went for. It's different and takes some getting used to, but it won't be my daily wallet. It really doesn't hold more than 2 or 3 cards, plus your license and maybe one other piece of documentation like a car registration. As far as bills, 10 is about the max. The good points: It is very small and thin in your pocket. Can be carried in your front or back pocket. The few cards you carry are RFID-reader protected. The bad points: You are very limited in what you can carry. Any time you need to take any card out, you have to push them all out and find the one you want. Bills need to be folded in thirds to fit the shape of the wallet. Bottom Line: Great for times you don't need or want to be carrying all your cards or cash, like a night out on the town or day trips while traveling. I can also see this being a daily wallet for those who don't need to own or carry too many cards or cash. If you have one credit card and live someplace you don't need to drive, this may be for you. Well-made and good value for the money.

It took some getting used to, but now that I’ve used it for a little while I really do love this wallet. I carry about 8 cards in mine without any problems, and I’m sure it would easily handle a few more. I ordered mine with the cash strap so I can keep my cash handy. It holds the cash securely. I like that it’s so compact which allows me to carry it comfortably in my front pocket. And it’s reassuring to know that it blocks any RFID tampering. I saw some of these same type wallets advertised for $70-$100, so I was happy to find this one for such a great price! I registered mine for the lifetime warranty and received a very nice welcome email from the company founder. The wallet seems to be very well-constructed and durable, but with a lifetime warranty you have that extra reassurance. I highly recommend this company and this wallet!

Bought this for my husband after his leather wallet finally fell to pieces. Currently is holding 9 cards + license and other cards. Could hold more. Never falls out of his pocket even when he was riding his motorcycle. Clip on the back holds cash or another card. Looks very slick and modern, minimalist design and easy to remove cards. Standard sized IDs & credit cards etc can fit in. Got his in wood grain and he loves it.

Is a great wallet for everyday use. It is slim and comfortable to have with you and not to noticeable in your pocket. It apparently has a lifetime warranty which is neat. The cash clip is great too. There are only a few issues mainly the inability to put a tracker on it. But not to much of an issue because tile has a slim tracker about the size of a credit card. Another issue is it is a bit difficult to get a specific card out unless you are getting the first one or take them all out. But I would say that’s the cost of one of these minimalist wallets. Over all I think it is great if you need a wallet to get around with that seems quite durable, looks great and hold your cards and cash very securely.

This wallet is exactly the same as The Ridge at less than half the price. The construction is sturdy, the band seems to be of decent quality and keeps everything nice and tight. The only drawback? The sandwich construction has aluminum plates with plastic covers. The Ridge has full metal plates. While not a dealbreaker the manufacturer does not specify this so I can’t help but feel misled. I will not return it and 10/10 times will buy this over The Ridge which, I think, is overpriced.

This product is difficult to use. Pulling out a single card requires removing all cards, which is impractical and can lead to lost cards.
