I ordered these hiking boots for my son, who has big feet for his age, and they’ve been a perfect fit! It’s always a challenge finding footwear that’s both the right size and comfortable, but these boots did the trick. They offer great support and are really sturdy, which is crucial for his outdoor adventures. The best part is that they’re waterproof! My son has worn them on some wet trails, and his feet stayed dry the whole time, which is a huge win when hiking. The boots also provide excellent traction, so he’s been able to confidently tackle all kinds of terrain without slipping. Overall, these hiking boots have been a great investment. They’re durable, comfortable, and practical—everything we were looking for in a boot for a growing kid with big feet! Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality boots for youth outdoor activities.

Love these boots, they look great and are waterproof even over the tongue because it is especially designed (puffed up) to keep out water. They are very comfortable and I get compliments on them all the time. Let me tell you I scoured Amazon over dozens and dozens of boots and reviews. This is the one I picked and they are worth the money. They are warm and durable. When I search for an item I ignore the best reviews and go to the worst. This one has no bad reviews because they are very good boots. I'm now loyal to the Nortiv brand and am thankful I found them.

These are pretty nice hiker shoes. Nice wide toe area. Wore them a couple times on a 4 mile walk on smooth surface and very comfortable. Just the right ankle height for me. A couple things that keep from being rated a 5 star. One, the loop on the back to pull them on is too small. I know my fingers are not the skinniest, but make the darn loops a half inch bigger so my finger will fit. Second, the tongue should be a tad taller. The laces almost go over the top of the tongue, it should be 3/8- 1/2 inch taller. Overall, pretty good value. Hard to know right now how they will hold ups but they look well made

These are really very good boots and the cost is very reasonable. They are very warm and have been awesome to have as this winter has been extremely cold and more snow than usual for our area. I am very happy I purchased the boots. And they are quite comfortable as well, but I did by a set replacement sole inserts that more appropriate for my big clumsy feet. I have not had them long enough to know if they last through the daily torcher I put them through but they really do seem like they are very well built so far.

Excellent hikers. True to size. They are comfortable, warm and waterproof. I stood in an icy puddle to gas up my truck. Dry as a bone. I highly recommend these.

Boots seem to be long lasting, on my feet all day on concrete, very comfortable, using my go to inserts as I do with all my shoes / boots. Comfortable, I usually wear a 10 , these seem to run a little bigger, again long lasting, comfortable, and look great, I actually purchased a second pair recently. Great boot.

Okay, so after having worn these for a very short time, here's the deal. For the price? I would say this isn't the worst buy, but do not have big expectations. Boots started off comfy, and testing out it's waterproofing, proved to be a success. Insoles are entirely too thin for comfort, leaving some feel of the rubber soles through the shoe after some wearing throughout the day. After about a month of moderate use (I work at a mushroom farm) I noticed that the side of the boot began to crack, and tattered somewhat. I don't scrape the boots on anything often when working, but through regular wear and tear, ended up with damage quickly. The waterproofing also failed after a short while, and I found myself with water leaking through the front toe box, causing me to have wet socks and very wet boot innards. The drawback of these being "waterproof" is that if they DO get wet inside, the waterproofing layer prevents them from drying quick enough to avoid the dreaded swampy smell. I had hoped to use these for foraging, however they didn't not last the season, so I will be looking for higher quality, somewhat affordable options now. Again, for the price I paid (on sale), I kinda expected this boots to not have a lot of longevity, but they are now useless for work, let alone foraging, shortly after use.

I wanted a comfortable hiking boot that fit well, was relatively warm, and fairly watertight. I bought these in May 2024 and now reviewing them in January of 2025. As soon as I put them on, they fit almost perfectly, which I did not expect for an economy shoe. Technically I wear a 9&1/2 EEE or 10EEE (US size). I got these in 10.5 wide and the fit is excellent and remains comfortable months later. Recently we had a considerable amount of snow, ice, and very cold weather. I have never found a truly waterproof hiking boot so I usually coat them with petroleum jelly (I've been doing this for years and it works well for me). Not only were these Nortiv 8's warm but not a drop of water got inside. The tongue of the boot is gusseted (connected to the body of the boot) so not much will get through to the inside. Because of the cold weather, I also began wearing these to work and was very pleased with the degree of comfort. They aren't super lightweight but I wouldn't categorize them as heavy either. Traction is good. Looking forward to see how they continue to hold up. If you are looking for an economy-priced hiking boot with a high degree of comfort, I highly recommend the Nortiv 8 Armadillo.

They fit well and have a good grip and not a heavy boot. Definitely glad I got them. A solid buy for the price as have had them in -30 already with no issues on warmth or grip. Absolutely no issues breaking them in either, straight on and they were good to go.

Play Video I ordered these as my car broke down in France and I left my much loved but ultra expensive gortex all weather boots in the back while awaiting recovery to UK . Currently December and I had two quick trips to the Baltic's, Lithuania and Poland so needed some boots fast. Read the reviews and it was these and the price point ( still hope to get my Gortex back) and the speed of delivery that did it for me. These boots have been excellent. Arrived next day Amazon Prime in time for my trips. I ordered the size 12 as I usually take size ,11 UK when it comes to trainers/shoes but I order one size up when it comes to boots as I wear with walking/winter socks. When these boots arrived I did a quick test and although they worked with the socks were a tad on the tight side so I did a return and got size 13 which have worked out really well , my advice therefore would be order one size up from your normal walking boots. These boots are lightweight but fit well and are comfortable , so far have proven warm and completely waterproof even in heavy snow. At one point I lost my drone which lost the signal and decided to do an impromptu landing so I had to go off piste and recover, the snow came right up to the top of the boots without entering and the boots remained warm and weather tight throughout . As regards the grip I note some have made unfavourable comment but I have found to be excellent even in snow and ice. The tread is deep and rugged and should last for quite some time although I will probably put them away until next winter now. I wear these boots with the laces done up to the first ankle hook only which I find works best for me leaving more flexibility in the ankle but guess that's a personal choice . Highly recommend these boots but order one size up.
