I have 3 of these now... The first one has been working reliably for ~4 months now and the other two I've had for ~2 months. They boys still have the option of using several other boxes, but they seem to prefer the Neakasas for some reason. They seem large, but the actual footprint isn't much different than the ancient automatic cleaners they replaced. The Neakasa M1 is relatively quiet and trouble free. The alerts that the app provides are useful and the tracking of use via weight is a nice addition. They didn't have the step stool when I purchased the box, so I just got a small aerobics step that fits perfectly, but it would be nice to have the litter collection function of the Neakasa step (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DGT9R6R2). My only complaint would be that the low lip allows a lot of litter to be scattered out of the box (most collects on my step, so would be captured by the Neakasa version). The bags are clever and make it easy to remove the waste, but regular trash bags work fine as well. Some volume of the waste bin doesn't really get used because the waste tends to build up at the back of the bin and thus triggers the full sensor, but one can just give the bin a good shake to level it out if you want to get a couple more days before removing the waste. The room with 2 cats will get around 2 weeks of use (they do have 1 other box that they barely use now); the rest of the house with 2 Neakasa M1s and 5 cats gets a little over a week of use (with a few other boxes for them to use) Not sure that I would purchase at the current $600 price point, but they got me at $400. Edit: it seems best to let the box sit for a while after putting the silicone stickers around the edge of the litter pad -- the one I didn't let sit until the next day came loose after a few days of use. Since I have two boys who like to stand up while peeing, I actually sealed all of them with some 2 inch waterproof tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CJ268PK (there are probably cheaper tape options than the one at the link). I took the back off so that I could seal all around the pad -- there are just 6 screws to remove.

I have a male sphynx who has a long body and weighs 10 lbs and I also have a small female sphynx who weighs 6 pounds. My male does this crazy looking thing where he stands up on his hind legs and holds onto the side and pees. I had a feeling the enclosed litter robot might not work for him. I’m using the arm and hammer hard ball litter in this and it works wonderfully. The smell of this litter is amazing!! My whole room smells nice. Sphynx cats eat more than other cats and they are stinky when they poop! They can clear a room! The only time I smell the box is while they’re pooping and I never smell it again. I have this box set to turn over the poop to make sure it’s coated good and then clean and dump it 7 minutes after they get out! It’s perfect timing for my cats. It gives it time to clump and then dump. When I first started setting it up which is a breeze to do btw, my male kept jumping in it like it was a box to play in. I had to remove him 3 times to finish. I activated it to level the litter and he was fascinated with the movement and watched it. I removed their old breeze box completely out of sight and placed this new one in the exact same spot that the old box was. This is gross and graphic but it’s how you need to do it: The way you get them to use it is, you take a decent sized, coated with old cat litter turd out of your old box, you can use a glove, but I just used a few paper towels and picked the biggest one out before throwing the old box away. It was pretty dried so it broke up into 3 pieces when I went to put it in the new litter which worked out because I planted and slightly buried with the tops still showing slightly in 3 places spaced out in the new litter box. Make sure your new box here is set to manual instead of automatic so that it doesn’t dump your turds you just planted right away. If you have multiple cats, you can set it back to automatic AFTER ALL your cats have done their business. My male sniffed and quickly realized that this is not a box to play in but a box to do his business. He cautiously climbed up in it and scratched around and finally positioned himself which I took a picture of. My female was sleeping at the time, so she hadn’t had a chance to notice the new box yet, so the old turds and his business he just did was left in there. When she woke up, she went to the area and just stood there and looked at it for a couple of minutes but then she started smelling and inched closer to get a better whiff and check it out. Now, she’s pretty tiny so when she went to climb in, she struggled a little because it’s taller than what she’s used to. I need to find a small step but I haven’t found one yet that I can place in front of it on the mat to help her. I left her alone tho and didn’t help her because she was in the mood to use the box so I didn’t want to distract her or have her associate having to go with any disruptions so I let her struggle and pull herself up in there. She did the same thing he did, smelled for awhile and scratched around a bit and then she peed. I let her take her time getting out and go on about her business and then I turned the automatic on a few minutes later. Both cats just watched it move and it was very quiet so I didn’t bother them at all. They have used it every time like normal since and that was last Friday when I got it. I decided to check the drawer 4 days later and it was time to take the bag out and put a new one. Just DON’T open the drawer until you’re ready to change it because, it’s stinky when you open it. The drawer is sealed very well though and contains the smell so you only smell it when you open it. I’ve never smelled it at all before when walking by the box. I decided every 4 days was a good time frame to check and change the bag for my two cats so I set a 4 day reminder in the app. I love how you can just cinch it up and throw it away and the bags aren’t cheap. They are heavy duty! God!! That’s so easy and quick! I love it!! I may change litter but I love the smell of this one so much that I don’t want to. My male is a wild man getting out after he does his business. I guess he feels so good and light that he just barrels out of there so he flings. The mat is great though! I just fold it up a little on the sides once a day and dump it back in the box. I put another rug on the other side of the mat to catch anything in case he jumps out and over which he almost always does. That is working well. I was a little nervous about making this investment but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my cats and sooo worth it! I’ll never go back to sifting turds out everyday again!

I was skeptical about the M1, having never used an automated litter box before. And was further sceptical that I could get my 6 week old kitten in there. But after having and using the M1 for two weeks now, I’m honestly very impressed. My kitten gets in there easily enough, I put a little shoebox there for him to use as a step up, until he’s bigger. The machine is super quiet even during the cleaning process. Once the excrement drops to the bin you don’t smell a thing. The setup and connection with the app has been flawless. And the little features like having a kitten mode and being able to modify timing and such is fantastic. It’s also very safe. If the cleaning cycle is going and the machine feels the cat on it or near it, it stops. Just really thoughtful design and features on this machine. Couldn’t be happier. Yes it’s got a heftier price tag but if you don’t like the smell of cat poop or pee and want to be able to relieve yourself of dealing with the mess, get this machine. As long as your cat uses it you won’t regret it.

Nou had hiervoor zo een normale ronddraaiende automatische kattenbak. En deze had wel een aantal problemen waar ik tegen aan liep. Moeilijk te reinigen en heel veel werk. Hij lekte doordat mijn kat tegen de zijkant aan pist. Nu deze is echt wel veel beter. Veel minder onderhoud en extreem makkelijk schoon te maken. Vullen is 10 keer makkelijker. Plus dat bij deze ook de kattenbak vulling niet blijft plakken aan de bak zelf. Je hebt goed zicht op hoeveel vulling er nog in zit. Me kat is ook blij want hij past hier veel beter in zelf. Dus al met al ben ik echt super tevreden en mijn kat ook. Dus als je er een zoekt dan zeker deze kiezen want hij is zo veel beter dan anderen. Plus hij is nu door de korting ook zeker goed te betalen.

Selbstreinigung: Funktioniert zuverlässig und entfernt den Katzenkot automatisch nach jeder Benutzung oder kann durch einen Timer eingestellt werden was die Reinigung erheblich erleichtert. Das spart nicht nur Zeit, sondern sorgt auch für eine stets saubere Toilette. Hygiene und Geruchskontrolle: Die Katzentoilette bietet eine sehr gute Geruchsbindung, was besonders wichtig ist, wenn man mehrere Katzen hat. Das Design der Toilette verhindert, dass unangenehme Gerüche entweichen, sieht sauber aus und riecht auch so. App-Steuerung: Man kann den Reinigungsprozess überwachen und auch steuern.
