This is VERY good, although I wish the company would produce more decaf choices. This coffee system is SO much better than a keurig. Each pod is about 1.5x more expensive than a k-cup, but the coffee is at least 5x better. Well worth changing my coffee setup. Also the cups are metal, not plastic. I have yet to figure out how to reuse or recycle them, but at least somewhat less harmful to the environment. Now nespresso needs to come up with an easily maintained storage system- I am still using a fill up bin with an opening on the bottom that was made for k-cups and there are boxes of pods all over my countertop while I try to figure out which coffee tastes best. Not ideal but at least I don’t need to refill some grid.

My wife got me a Nespresso Vertuo plus coffee maker and Aerocciono 3 frother for my birthday. I had tried Nespresso coffees before and loved the taste and genuine espresso richness. Whenever you get a cartridge/capsule/pod coffee maker, the hardest thing for decaf drinkers to do is to find a decaf that suits your taste. Because the Nespresso uses their own proprietary capsule, there is no interchangeability with Keurig. So, the choices for decaf are less. Enter the Nespresso Fortado Decaffeinato capsules. They have a good medium roast taste, and with the vertuo machine, I get a good amount of creme on the top. For now they will do, until I can find a darker or bolder roast that comes in a large serving size like this one.

As an old grump/traditionalist, I was determined not to try pod/capsule coffee machines or coffees. Also i wasn’t going to try decaf coffee. My step son and his wife bought us a Nespresso Virtu coffee maker with about 80 pods including decaf. So I tried it. Delicious coffee including the decafs. The ease of making a cup of various styles of coffee but more importantly the favourite and aroma has made me a convert. Anyone need well used cones, filters, espresso machines, grinders, etc?
