Just received an essentially new Nespresso Vertuo Plus machine for less than half retail, as an open box item with warranty from Breville. The box had some miles on it, but the coffee maker was as new, probably a store shelf model. And it started and worked just fine. Second such machine I've had, and the Vertuo Plus is the best of the Nespresso choices. My previous Vertuo Plus went five years of daily use before failing. The previous machine did everything well but struggled to get through the descaling process. Does it matter where Nespresso makes these? This open box one was Breville-badged from the Ukraine, and while almost identical, seems just a bit better in build quality than the previous one, DeLonghi from Hungary. All trivia. Both make great coffee, in five pod sizes, if one cup at a time with a small counter footprint is your goal.

After using a Tassimo coffee machine for years, then moving to Keurig for several more years I figured it was time to step up our coffee game so I went the french press route. While I've been making great coffee using that method, I needed something quicker for the mornings where I can't spend that much time making my morning brew. I decided to go with the Nespresso Vertuo and couldn't be happier. We're only a few days in but I can confidently say that I've never had better coffee / espresso. I've officially become a coffee snob, but I'm okay with that! I highly recommend this machine.

If you’re like me, as in you don't have the time to make coffee drinking more than what it is (espeesso snob). this is your machine. love the ease of use, no drama! Love the 1 button operation. It gets you a nice hot brew in 30sec. The deluxe model has a larger water tank capacity. I tried the delonghi and the breville both deluxe and I must say the Breville wins in terms of built quality. Noise level is not a concern as it brews fast and operates smoothly when opening and closing so it won’t wake the dead up. I like the design of the breville more but that’s a personal preference. It is so worth it. Honestly The only issue of this machine is that it’s by Nespresso = Nestle’ but.. what is not!!?

This is a Breville Nespresso coffee maker. Unlike many Nespresso coffee makers, this has no knob or lever that needs to be tightly secured. Our son has one of those and we find it often hard to open or close the lever. This machine has touch open and close, making it super easy to insert pods. The product works flawlessly, is easy to fill with water and makes great hot coffee.

We purchased this to replace our Nespresso Vertuoline Evoluo that we had for 6 years. We used it every day and brewed about 3-6 cups a day. At first, we purchased the new Nespresso Vertuo Pop! which was a huge mistake- I returned it as soon as I noticed how cheaply made it was and that you couldn't even use a regular size coffee cup - the cup stand was not removable! So I was on the hunt again and found this Vertuo Plus. I must say, I think we love it even more than the Evoluo. It's sleek and well made. My only complaint is there is a long delay between the pressing of the button to when the machine starts brewing. There also is no beep or any indication that the machine is in the brewing process so it took us awhile to realize that little quirk. Other than that, we are thrilled with this machine and it makes our mornings so much better.

Horrendous design. You will get maybe 6 months of use from this machine. Then you will get endless hours of frustration trying to figure out how to descale the machine. It could have been a simple process with one button and an LCD display. Nespresso chose to make it confusing and you are forced to figure out secret button combinations with no feedback from the machine whatsoever. Do yourself a favor and avoid Nespresso until they design a machine that isn't based on 1980s technology. UPDATE: Machine failed after 9-10 months

On the recommendation of a very good friend who owns an Italian restaurant and is from Bari, Italy and uses one at his home! I bought this Nespresso machine. This makes as good a cup of coffee and espresso as his $10,000 espresso machine in the restaurant! Easy to use and takes up a minimal amount of space on the counter!

I bought this about six weeks ago and love it however, it did start leaking after two weeks of use. I still haven’t figured out what is making it leak since it does it randomly. After checking online I have found that this is somewhat of a common issue with these machines. So be advised and keep a close eye on it before your window to exchange it expires.

The adults in our household are enjoying Nespresso drinks that we are getting from this machine. I really like how they’ve included a sizeable capsule sample package, so you can try before you buy. The black colour and chrome looks really nice and fits into the decor of most kitchens. It has a space saving design which is perfect for smaller spaces. Unlike other Nespresso machines, the used capsule container is hidden into the back of the machine. Also, the water canister pivots to the side or the back that way it can be hidden from sight. The machine is really easy to use, you just warm it up for a few seconds, pop your capsule in, press the button and you’re done. The machine allows you to program water amounts per capsule, and it remembers for the next one. The only thing that I don’t really like about that feature is if you want to change your settings, you have to reset the machine and that resets all of your settings. There is also no heat adjustment settings. If you prefer your drinks extra hot, then this may not be the machine for you. The Nespresso capsules are made of aluminum and they have a great recycling program for their used pods. When you order capsules from them, you receive a bag for empties and you mail them back to the company. They have an online store and there are also boutiques in some malls. Overall, this machine puts out wonderful tasting drinks, flavourful and frothy. The machine is super user friendly and looks very nice in the kitchen.

This is a simple espresso machine, with only one button, but it delivers amazing espresso/coffee and gives variety. I like that you can make 5 different coffee/nespresso sizes with the same machine, depending on your pod. Usually I choose a single espresso or then an alto coffee, a big cup of coffee, but you can do sizes in between as well or then always add extra water to a small one for a bit more dilute intensity but a larger cup. I also like that there is a good amount of crema on the espresso but also on the coffee. This package does not come with the milk frother so if you want to make even fancier drinks, I suggest you buy one that has that (or buy the frother separate) but I am happy with the crema that the machine produces automatically. The machine is not too loud (not super quiet though), and I love how fast it makes my coffee or espresso. I also like the sample pack of pods that come with the machine. I am happy that I have a Nespresso store in my city and the sample pack allowed me to see which my favourite flavours and brew size are.

It's beautiful and a good product. The only problem is that depending on the position of the tube, it can leak a little and you have to move it until you find the good position.
