Customers appreciate the thermoplastic filament's quality and color. They find it strong, durable, and reliable. The transparent filament is gorgeous, and the white one is the purest they've seen so far in any filament. Many customers like that it works well and offers good value for money. However, some have mixed opinions on print quality, filament quality, adhesion, and stringing.

Even if we were to set aside the fact that the transparent filament is gorgeous, I'd still recommend this product based on how easy and reliable it is. If you're aiming to print something for decorative purposes where a translucent effect is required, you should definitely print slowly (30-40mm per second) to increase the evenness of layer lines and generate a gorgeous transparent effect. But because it's so reliable, I can regularly print overnight where speed isn't a concern. I'm genuinely stunned to see how often I'm able to nail the transparent effect on the first print, including challenging designs such as the incredibly thin (0.4mm) capsule shaped lamp diffuser in the photograph. But here's the kicker: This prints so reliably that has also become my go to filament for functional prints/prototype. When perfectly even layer lines and flawless transparency aren't a concern, I can crank up the speed and it will still turn out great prints on the first try when other "easier" filament types fail. Tips: Pre-heating/drying this filament isn't necessarily required if you live in a low humidity area, but it really does help when you want a near perfect transparent effect. Additionally, I've found that this particular PETG really likes heat. For a perfect first layer, I crank up the extruder temp above the recommended level (270-280° C) and use a bed temperature of 80-90° C. From there, lowering to 250° is a sweet spot for transparency and layer adhesion. I also found that it performs better when my chamber temp is set to 55 or 60, though this may not be the case for those who don't have a chamber fan.

If you are using a Bambu printer turn the temp up to 280C. The printer goes to fast for the standard temps and will not print well. Once I got the temp right it printed beautifully.

“I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! The quality is outstanding, and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the design and functionality. This product has exceeded my expectations in every way, offering a perfect balance of performance, durability, and style. What truly sets this product apart is how well it delivers on its promises. It’s incredibly easy to use, and you can tell it’s built to last. Whether you’re looking for something reliable for everyday use or a high-performing option for special occasions, this is it. On top of all that, the value for the price is unbeatable. It feels like a premium product without the hefty price tag. If you’re on the fence about getting this, don’t hesitate—trust me, you won’t regret it. This is one of those rare finds that ticks every box!”

I really like Overture filaments and have tried several kinds of both PLA and PETG. I believe this is the same as the amazon basics brand filament so counting that i've tried 6 PETG colors, yellow is the worst, then orange then red then white then electric blue then 'army green'. I reviewed them below, again all here are PETG. Army green - If you want true army green, this is probably not the best choice as it is not matte, it has a shimmer to it. That said army green is by far the best overall PETG filament i've used as failures are rare and the finish is gorgeous. I think hunter green is a better description of the color as army green makes me think of the flat green of the toy soldiers or old school tanks. Orange - is a good halloween color and is has low opacity. I consider this a tricky filament as i expected all the overture filaments to be the same but this orange and the yellow are not as good as the white, red, electric blue or army green. Again orange has some issues but with some tweaks and watching the first layer of the first print closely it is ok. Swapping this one is a pain but ok over and over until you change it out. The yellow petg is by far the worst PETG color i've tried, i've had far fewer successful prints with the yellow than successes which is not true of any other PETG color by this brand. I am flat puzzled by this one as i can watch it and tweak it and it just fails a lot. Red - amazon basics but i hear they are the same filament - Red is fine, it has a fairly shiny finish but is a good color red. It is only a little finnicky after swapping it in, i found adjusting print speed to 85% for first layer worked well. (this trick didn't work for orange or yellow, neither did speeding it up) White - is a fine filament, i've not used much of it and hte prints i did were simple (flat cylinders with barely any infill, only about 2 mm tall) but they worked well with no errors. Swapped this filament w/o tweaks and had no errors. Electric blue - great color and finishes well. Also very few failures even with complex prints and swapping blue in quickly is fairly reliable with no tweeks.

Overture has been absolutely killing it in the filament game for years now. I love their cardboard spools, I've never gotten a bad batch of filament or even had a knot in a roll. It's perfect every time and it's consistently so much that I actually cringe when I see some other filament on sale and I decide to buy Overture over saving $5 as I know there's far more chance that cheap stuff will not be worth it with jams or getting knotted up when unspooling. This was my first roll of PETG and I was nervous about printing with it. I heard it was much more picky on temps and retractions and adhesion... well either I'm a super lucky guy (which for those who do know me would NOT say that's the case... quite the opposite) or this stuff is just so well formulated but out of the box and just some starting pointers from message boards my first PETG print came out fantastic. No stringing, great bed adhesion to my PEI sheet (and not too much as some say is a problem with PETG) I could go ranting and raving about this product until next tuesday but I'll just cut this off now stating that I'm surprised how reasonably priced this filament is for the quality. I've never used a filament that costed as much as an entry level printer and I probably will never need to if I keep using this stuff. I cannot imagine it's any better. Just costs more.

This is a good filament that prints well and gives good strong finishes to my prints. Using with a creality 3 pro and it sticks to the print surface well and the flow is also good. Will buy more of this brand.
