The OVERTURE PLA Filament is great for 3D printing! It’s really easy to use and works well with most 3D printers. The filament comes in a big spool, so you have lots to work with. The 1.75mm size is perfect for creating cool 3D prints like toys, models, and other fun things. The best part is that it’s really smooth when it prints, which makes your projects look nice and neat. It’s also strong and doesn’t break easily, so your prints will last. If you’re into 3D printing, this filament is a great choice because it works well and is easy to use.

It's good filament. It extrudes nice and clean. Inter-layer bonding is good. Surface finish is a little on the glossy side but not bad. It just lays down NICE. Its well behaved. I bought the basic black and its a nice black, not thin and weak like other filaments. No need to buy Hatchbox or Atomic, this is just as good if not better behaved just WAY less expensive. Don't be fooled that its a non-name budget filament- its better than that! No worries about mystery brand, this is good stuff. Initially I bought it on a recommendation of a friend who tried it and liked it. I wanted to use as a cheap prototype and test print filament, but its so nice and well behaved I use it for tester AND final prints. Use KISS slicer to print temp tuning and destring wizards to dial in your temps and retracts. I found that this prints better on the lower end of the temp range 195C-200C , 4.5mm retract for my 650mm bowden. I have not tried the build surface yet, I will and update my review. It seems like it will work well. The spool itself is nice. I like the windows on the side for filament remaining. I wish that there was some more reference data on the label- like filament density and conversion numbers for things like cm^3/m, g/m and the like. It seems like when you need a number like that you can not find it. I REALLY like the paper ruler too, its actually pretty handy. Data might be nice there too. The box it comes in is one of the clam-shell types. I use it for part and component storage when its empty too. I wish that they consider the box reuse after printing for stuff like that. I like that it does not have a window that I have to tape up. The multi-packs are next on my list. I hope that they can keep a consistent quality and price point, maybe add a few more colors. EDIT: I got another roll delivered today and thought to update my review with some unboxing pictures. I omitted in my initial review a compliment about the roll packaging. The roll comes vacuum sealed in a reusable silver mylar bag. This is a REALLY nice feature as some of teh so called 'premium' filament vendors charge $2.50 per bag! the bag keeps out light and moisture better than plain poly bags usually used. You can see the printed cardstock ruler and the included build surface in the second photo. Like I said, I like the carboard box type: I reuse them for parts and roll storage.

Good filament. Took it straight out of the box and printed a 9 1/2 hour print didn’t have any mess ups, it comes sealed in plastic so you don’t have to worry about moisture content. It did not make my nozzle clog and The temperature range is very forgiving being PLA.

I'm new to 3d printing but I doubt this is common. I've only tested the black and white filament, but they both have this issue. When I've finished a print and leave the printer for a day or so, I'll come back and find that if there's any slight angle left in the filament where it's fed into the machine, it'll break there. Likewise, even just weaving the filament through the holes in the spool that are designed for that results in the filament breaking after about a day. I've started to get in the habit of turning off my machine with the z axis set much higher to keep the spool from sitting with an angle which could notably could be a design flaw of my machine Jgmaker magic, but having the filament break just from storing it is frustrating. Both of these result in the filament unwinding and wasted filament, which sucks. That frustration aside, it prints great. It adheres very well to the print bed (perhaps too well). The quality is very good too, with virtually no anomalies throughout big prints. All of my prints have been pretty clean and consistent. All in all it's great filament. Just be careful when letting it sit for prolonged periods of time. If it's left with any semi-hard angle, it'll break there.

Update: I have now used several overtire filament products and have decided that the issues I had with this particular product were likely due to my own improper handling of the filament when loading my printer or just a rare case of poorly spoiled filament. In either case all of the other filaments I have gotten from Overture have been top notch. It has been consistent and high quality. I have been moving away from PLA in favor of petg and I have to say their petg filament is where it’s at. I am changing my review to five stars after finishing the spool and also using several other overtire products. If you are looking for some great quality filament don’t hesitate to try this. When I first opened the package the filament seemed a little messy compared to other brands I had tried up to that point. It didn’t seem to be ranged just a little weird. At first it printed great and consistently. However it eventually started to catch on itself and after pausing the print to check it out I didn’t see any apparent tangles so I continued on. About 30min later it caught again and caused a rather large print to fail. I didn’t notice until it made a noise when the extruded snapped the filament in two. I thought I had fixed it when it happened AGAIN later that night with another large print(stupid me I should have changed rolls). Anyway, I rewound the entire thing myself and haven’t had an issue since. All in all, I am disappointed in the performance of this roll and how poorly it was wound. However, I am having great success with overtures petg. I’m giving it 4 stars for now. If I grab another roll from them with better results I’ll do a new review.

This is an inexpensive Filament that gets the job done. I have tried a few different overture filaments and the quality is consistent.

I'm using this filament with my Anycubic i3 Mega-S and it is working fine. Prints in a nice somewhat glossy black (Although the bottom layer that is against the base looks more matte) Seems to be a bit thicker (as in viscosity, not dimensions) than the original filament that came with my printer, and might benefit from being printed at a slightly higher temperature, although it seems to work just fine at the default print settings for my printer. When I first got the filament, I initially thought there might be some kind of problem, because with the filament that comes with the printer I can hit the "filament in" button, and it will extrude plastic forever if I let it. With this stuff, it extrudes for awhile, and then the feeder starts skipping. I think because it's a bit less viscous, the "filament in" just pushes the filament more quickly than it can extrude, and eventually pressure builds up to a point that the feeder can't overcome it. It was only after I ignored this and just tried a print that I realized it works fine. I am pretty new with 3d printing, and this is my first roll of non-stock filament, so I didn't really know what to expect. The scent from this filament while printing is maybe slightly more than the original filament, but still barely perceptible and not unpleasant. I have not tried the included build surface with this filament, but it seemed to work well with the Overture branded PETG that I tried it with. Adhesion is great and comparable to the stock filament as long as the gap between the nozzle and the print bed is correct. Comes in a resealable bag, which is super convenient! Also comes with a ruler, and the spool has markings on it (questionable accuracy?) to help you estimate how much filament you've used, and how much remains. (See pics) UPDATE: This is still great filament, so I haven't removed any stars or anything, but I did notice they've raised the price and it is now over $30 canadian for 1kg. I thought I had found my go-to brand for filament. Unfortunately at this price I will be looking at other options.

Good Filament. I use it for work mostly and it doesn't clog my nozzle and runs smooth in my printers. Colour is great and they have a great colour selection. Hoping they as more colours in pla!

On my 5th roll of OVERTURE black for home projects. I have found that 2 of the 5 rolls tended to print items that were either too soft for general use or too brittle. They either scratched and gave way under pressure or were so brittle they broke ver easily.

This filament performs somewhat okay. There is definitely better out there. Use this stuff for pieces you don’t care about quality such as drafts or random house/garage prints.
