I'm a low-tech 3d printing novice. I have a Lotmaxx Shark open-air printer. This filament works very well with my printer. I mostly use it to print jigs and clamps for woodworking and CNC work. The pieces are tough and do what I need them to do very well. My daughter likes old tech and wanted a cassette tape case for Christmas. I designed the racks for cassette tapes to go in a wooden cabinet, and used this filament to print them. They came out really nice...no warping, very square, and nice smooth lines. I'm very happy with the ease of use and cost of this filament. My printer lives in my basement in Missouri, so humidity is a fact of life. I would probably benefit from keeping this filament in a sealed bag when not in use, but to be honest I've left it on the printer for months at a time and it just keeps working perfectly. The seller packages the filament very well and ships promptly. Five stars!

Summary: This filament prints great despite being the cheapest filament I bought. I still prefer other brands of PLA, but will definitely keep Overture in mind when I need a lot of PLA for cheap. I got this filament to quickly print some dice boxes for my DnD players. It got the job done quite well and definitely made me consider getting Overture in the future when I need a lot of PLA. However, I tend to prefer Bambu PLA because it lets me get the most out of my printer and prints a bit easier. Plus, buying the bulk refills makes the prices more comparable.

I switched from ABS to PLA, and this is my first time trying PLA. I love the printing quality and I'm getting less failed prints (don't know if it's because of the brand or because it's PLA). But the filament is cut in some places. I try to print something, and i come back to find the printer not printing because the filament was cut off. It's not a huge big problem, but it is getting on my way. I will order again because I've never had this problem with their ABS filament, I hope the second one won't be like this, and this was just a faulty one. Update: I haven't had any more cuts so fat, and I have never had a failed print. Not a single one. I am so satisfied with this product :)

I am new to 3D printing. It's summer in St Louis, MO -- that means it's humid. Outdoors, most days, the relative humidity exceeds 60% and it's not a lot better indoors. 3 days after starting to print, I was having nothing but trouble with my printer -- strings, jams, clogs, horrible print quality, etc. I spent weeks and hours of YouTube videos trying to get a decent print. Ultimately, the solution was to change filament. This Overture white filament has been working flawlessly. I'm getting nice prints and will buy Overture filament again.

I use a lot of Overture PLA and usually without issue. This was the first roll that was tangled on the spool. I have to continually go over and manually give it slack so it doesn’t bind. I will still use Overture in the future though.

For the price I got it at, it is an absolute steal. Very functional filament that would fit most needs. Make sure to dry it though because it becomes quite brittle.

I've had good experience with Overture filaments overall, but the white is especially nice. It's a good clean white color, prints smooth and has never given any problems. No settings adjustments necessary, just a generic profile and my usual 205C/55C works well.

I used to be an Overture cheerleader. I started 3D printing about 3 years ago during the pandemic and really enjoyed it. After experimenting with several different PLA’s, I decided for the price and quality, I was going to use Overture for my everyday, main workhorse filament. Then about 10 months ago, things began to change. I will frequently let larger prints run all night while I’m asleep. As I’m sure most of you do as well. I noticed the first incident after I woke up to find my printer with a nearly full roll of filament, but nothing was coming out of the nozzle. The first half inch of the print was fine, then it just started printing nothing. I began troubleshooting. I checked my temperature. Fine. I immediately put a brand new nozzle on the hotend. I checked the gears to make sure nothing was obstructed. Everything seemed fine, so I reinserted the filament and started again. This time, it printed nothing. No first layer, no movement from the spool, nothing. Then I examined the spool. The filament was wrapped in a knot! It had basically stopped the entire process because the spool wouldn’t release any filament into the extruder! I’d never seen this happen before and thought it must have been a fluke. I had to unravel the entire spool to get to the knot which was down near where the filament is actually wound into the spool. Then I had to respool it by hand, since I don’t have a spoiler machine. Took forever. I contacted Overture 3 times and received no response. I contacted them here as well as their official Facebook group. I never received any response. I just chalked it up to a bad spool and bought some more filament when I needed it. Out of the next 4 spools I bought, 2 had the same problem. I decided to take pictures and contact Overture again. I contacted them on Amazon and I blew up their facebook group and posted all the pics. It turns out I wasn’t alone. Several other people reported having the exact same problem with the exact same result. And we all got the same response from Overture: Silence. Needless to say, I don’t buy from them anymore. ZIRO has become my go to filament. I think it’s higher quality and the colors are more vibrant. Plus they offer some rather unique styles of PLA and always send you freebies, like filament vacuum bags for storage. Sorry Overture. It’s not like I didn’t give you a chance.

I recently purchased the Overture PLA Filament (1.75mm) for my bamboo x1 carbon printer, and it has been a game changer. The filament's dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.03mm stands true, providing consistent and precise prints every time. The 1kg spool is generous, and the filament feeds smoothly without tangling or breaking. Its adherence to the print bed is excellent, reducing warping and other common issues. Additionally, the white color is vibrant and consistent throughout the spool, making it perfect for projects that require a clean, professional look. Overall, an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned 3D printing enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

I will not buy it again. Really disappointed with this filament. This was the first filament roll I bought just after getting a 3d printer. The first test print went ok, but subsequent prints had issues not sticking. I went through and adjusted settings and was hit and miss at getting first or subsequent layers to stick. Tweaked for months trying various prints and became very frustrated. Some prints came out, but had layer lines, even though I was set to 0.1mm. Others were brittle. I thought this was how difficult it would be to get good prints. I finished the roll and started using another brand of filament. My first print was amazing! All other prints (about 10 now), have turned out perfectly. I would not recommend this product as I almost gave up printing because of poor quality filament, despite good reviews here.

This filament (in white) prints very well but is not very opaque. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that I was using it is a multi-colour print over black, and it did not give me a solid white (like the esun matte white did)... If you are doing multi colour prints, you might want to consider this.

Changed my review because my opinion of the filament has changed. The first few wraps were complete garbage, breaking every hour. After I got past the first few wraps of material (about 5 hours of printing failed parts) the filament could hold together well enough to make a decent multi hour print.

Usually use eSun but this was on sale really cheap and I needed white for a 20mm diameter Death Star someone wanted printed out. Still playing with settings, had a few issues with the support tree layers looking "gappy", but at around 215 degrees and bed at 55, it printed quite well with just a few bed-sticking issues. Used a glue stick and set first layer speed to 50% and with brims, not bad. Suspect most issues are my inexperience. One issue is the spool. 2 ridges and a gap in the centre... I have a printed spool holder with bearings for the regular spools and this one kept falling off the bearings. Will need to print a removeable sleeve for it because had to reinstall the original holder to make it work. Not a fault of the filament at all, they're nice environmentally friendly spindles, but if like me your spool holder is anything but smooth/solid, you may have issues. Will buy again for sure.
