I drink this matcha daily - I just whisk it with hot water and sometimes almond milk. I like this matcha because it's a little sweeter than many I've tried. It almost tastes like it has sugar in it, but it does not. This is a nice big bag for the money, and it comes with a measuring scoop, which I really appreciate. It is slightly finer than other powders, but that's no big deal. I will definitely buy this again when my big bag finally runs out, probably in a year or so!

This product is better than the matcha powder mix used at Starbucks! Starbucks uses a 51% sugar mix with questionably sourced matcha/sencha making up the other 49%. It has no tea flavor as it's basically just sweetened milk. If you've come to matcha through the Starbucks lens, this is NOT that product. It's what you should be drinking instead! When I've tried to get matcha powder locally at the grocery store, I've not been able to find one that is the same quality as this in such a value size quantity. For size reference, I'm pretty sure this size bag could last one person 3mos even if they were drinking a matcha latte everyday. This matcha here packs a bolder flavor, a better boost of energy, and more mental clarity without the crash that you'd have from coffee. It is unsweetened, which gives you the freedom to make the final product (latte, smoothie, whatever) as sweet or unsweet as you like. The powder is ULTRA fine, and is about the consistency of powdered sugar. It dissolves wonderfully in a few ounces of the liquid of your choice (I prefer oatmilk), and it suspends very nicely and does not sink to the bottom when at rest for a few moments. All around highly recommend. Unless you're Japanese and have had that real good stuff and would know the difference, this is probably good enough for most people.

I have tried before Matcha teas that I bought directly from Japan and this one is up there with the best. Since is not written on the package or description that this is "ceremonial grade", I was expecting a bit of bitterness or fishy flavor, but to my surprise there is none. I tried it even straight with just hot water and it tastes smooth, something that the majority of the Matcha teas do not, they always have a bit of bitter/weed flavor that makes them unpleasant to drink unless they are mixed with something. I had tried before their "culinary" grade Matcha and it was good but had all those flavor characteristic of most matcha, this version which is called "premium first harvest" is definitely better for just a small increase in price and much less pricey than other Matcha that are defined Ceremonial grade. Also, it mixes super well with water and lattes of various kind.

This Matcha certainly tastes fine, nice texture, but the caffeine is not as potent as other matchas. I’d say the potency of caffeine feels like 1/2 the strength of other matchas I’ve tried and that is based on a serving of 3 teaspoons at a time. However, some people like that! If that’s what you are looking for, then this matcha is a great choice! 👍🏻

Frothed nicely. Good color, felt silky and smell was that of what I’d expect from a top shelf matcha. I drink mine hot with a splash of cream. No sweetener. Smooth without a hint of bitterness and has a sweet finish. Been drinking matcha for about 2 years now and have had some nasty stuff. This matcha is good and the price point is off the hook. The matcha completely dissolved in cup and wasn’t any left at bottom like some I’ve had. Buy it, it’s worth it.

I had high hopes when I came across what seemed to be an affordable option for Matcha, especially as a passionate Matcha lover and health enthusiast. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment, and I regret not paying more attention to the negative reviews. When I attempted to sift the Matcha for a drink, I was shocked to see a significant amount of debris left behind. Even more alarming, I tested it with a magnet, and it actually pulled the particles, indicating potential contamination. As someone who is conscious about the quality of what I consume, I cannot, in good conscience, put toxic lead into my body. I reached out to Amazon's customer service for a refund, and they promptly accommodated my request. Thank you to Amazon for standing by their products. However, if you are a health enthusiast like me, be warned: this Matcha is not the quality you might expect and could be harmful. Save your money and avoid this product at all costs!
