The haste in which it opens the bottles is simply amazing. You can open up to 2 wine bottles in a minute. It can open a number of bottles in a single charge and if that is not convenience then I don’t know what is. I am sure this is the kind of electric opener you will probably find in a busy bar or hotel. Efficiency and quality are the two words that best describe this electric opener. There is a foil cutter that removes seals first before removing the cork. The handle has a gentle grip which ensures that you will not have to keep positioning the electric opener. The design of the opener is also outstanding. It is very easy to use the electric opener. Just place it on top of the wine bottle in an upright position. Press the switch on the opener and the opener will start removing the cork. It will stop once the cork has been removed from the bottle. Then lift the opener away from the bottle, remove the stuck cork by pressing the upper part of the switch and the cork will be released and the party can begin. There is even no elbow grease required to operate the opener. Read the manual if you are confused about the operations but the bottom line is that the opener is very easy to operate and you shouldn’t be perturbed because you can’t use it. Play Video I’ve enjoyed my opener for at least 2 years and purchased one for a relative mid summer this year. They were enjoying the product until it stopped fully charging. When I came to visit this week I tried to help trouble shoot but to no avail it just won’t work. I’ve had mine for so long and it works perfectly. I bought them a new one today, I hope it lasts longer than 4 months. I almost changed brands but we’ll see how this one works out for them.

Love this product. My original was from another vendor and needed to be replaced. This works effortlessly and the design is so sleek, I keep it on my counter top I get compliments.

The last Oster cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener that I bought lasted 7 years, not too bad for an electric appliance. The charging base still worked but the actual cork remover refused to charge up sufficiently to do the job. I wish it were possible to just replace the battery in it so I didn't have to add it to the landfill. I had been unplugging it when we travelled for over a week, and I'm wondering if that sped up its demise.

Two bought did not last more than six months, try to get product support to no avail, cork brakes inside the units and stops pulling it out, Not a reliable product

I received one of these openers as a gift and was so pleased. The ease of opening a bottle of wine is terrific! After several years of regular use, a cork was so tough to pull that it got stuck in the opener and broke the machine. We tried to repair it, but it was useless. When I looked here on Amazon and found it to be so inexpensive that I replaced it with a new one. The new one doesn't seem to have as much strength and is slower to work, but it does the job. I definitely recommend getting this opener. Priced right, too!

I ordered a way cheaper wine opener that works just as well, was stainless steel and had a USB charger. The Oster is very large, plastic and was sold with an American plug for which I will now have to buy a plug converter.
