Fantastic, premium quality umbrella. I did the rabbit hole research and ultimately went with Purple Leaf for our cantilever patio umbrella. It’s a 10’ area of shade coverage, with 360 degree pivot and multiple layers of tilt, so there’s no sun angle we can’t block. It also looks beautiful on our patio, adds a high level of elegance, and the fabric is solid and substantial to looks at and also to touch. The base is a much smaller footprint on our smaller patio than our previous umbrella so this is a massive upgrade. They have one or two other higher tier umbrellas, some of which are commercial level—like you’d find at resort pools— and we didn’t feel the need to go there, but now I wonder how great they must be considering this is their entry-level model. The assembly was a breeze, and rolling it up and down is effortless. Emily gave us amazing customer support, guided me to the right base, and took the time to check back in to make sure all was well. We couldn’t be happier.

Love this umbrella so much! It was fairly easy to setup but definitely requires two people but only took a few minutes. We did put sand and water into the bases as its quite heavy and definitely needed the stability of weight at the bottom. The dark gray is perfect and after a few months hasn’t faded at all. It gives us plenty of shade for our patio set and can easily be adjusted with one hand. It is a bit heavy to move around after the base is filled but not as difficult as we were expecting. We have left it for months and haven’t had any issues with wind although our backyard is fairly protected from air flow. All in all it is well built, works like a dream and appears as though it will last for years.

The geometry and the color/finish of the pole seem to be much more contemporary/modern than most brands. It is devoid of unnecessary decorations/details. 2. The company offers its product internationally but has a headquarter in the US. It offers a variety of yard furniture. This is not just some Chinese importer with a US warehouse. 3. The branding of the product is quite acceptable. The logo is subtle enough. 4. It offers a dark grey color with a dark grey umbrella structure. I found most color combinations accentuate the umbrella's structure in an unwanted way that simply adds a ton of visual clutter and distraction from your garden. 5. When checking out the base options on Purple Leaf's website, one could find many different types - including in-ground and flush mount types. The company is serious about offering products that work for most customers. To provide shade for my 5'x5' table, I ordered a 9'x9' umbrella, which is giant, with a water-filled wheelbase. The instruction is clear. The setup took less than an hour. I am 5'-2" and have no problem operating the tilt and the 360-degree rotation. The product is solid. I had a small issue with the finish on the pole due to the pole being handled when the paint was still tender in the factory. The Purple Leaf team took care of it. The customer service was superb. If a cantilever umbrella is what you need (I had to make sure the plants that need full sun won't be shaded, thus flexibility was a key factor), look no further. This is a durable and study umbrella; however, the assembly took more time than expected. Here are a few tips that may save you some time: - Because it’s so sturdy, it's pretty heavy. It’s easier to assemble with two people. - If you assemble parts of it indoors, put a blanket down first so it doesn’t scratch your floors and wait to put all the pieces together until it’s outdoors. - Pick a location that has enough space for opening and closing the umbrella (it’s larger than you’d expect) before you complete the assembly and attach to the base. - Fill the base completely with sand or water once you pick your ideal location. Other than this, it’s a great looking umbrella and has been an amazing addition to our patio!

This is much larger than expected which is great for summer coverage. The material is great quality, the setup was extremely easy and straightforward, and the cantilever provides amazing coverage for a large table and chairs.

We got this to cover our hot tub area. We wanted something we could move, so we could look at the stars at night, or use to keep sun/rain off while we use the hot tub. It was so easy to install. Putting it up and down, and turing it are all very easy. My husband anchored it to the deck so we did not need any weights to hold it down.
