This really is a fast-acting ice melt. Used it once so far and was very happy with it. I also like the size of the buckets it comes in as 25lbs is easier to handle. The scoop and the bucket itself are well made and sturdy and the scoop is a nice additional piece to have to make tossing the de-ice easily.

Safe to use on concrete or asphalt walks or driveways. Easy to apply with a spreader.

i was expecting this to be super hard to open. The box was securely sealed but had a bad feeling when i heard stuff jostling around in it when i picked it up. When i got the box open the lid was partially off, there was no seal on it at all. There was salt all in the box. It's okay i managed to use the scoop to get it in the bucket but it's odd that they didn't even bother taping down the lid. I did try to contact the seller but they never responded. The ice melt works good and i like the blue color you can see where you throw it. I just don't like that fact that they tell you to contact them and then they don't respond.

Don’t waste your money. Finally had to use it and it doesn’t work AT ALL. Applied the product in 40 degree weather after a bit of ice. Untreated areas where the sun hit melted, treated area still covered in ice. I’d give this zero stars if I could. Several times more expensive than regular ice melt. I’m all in for the pet friendly but this does not work at all. I usually don’t write scathing reviews but this stuff cost a fortune comparatively and look at the pic. It’s probably 42 degrees now and it is still not melting the ice. The bare area you see in front of the white truck wasn’t treated and has melted in the sun. The typical ice melt I buy in the store would have made quick work of this at these temperatures.

Works immediately and I have used other popular brands that are smaller crystals and take longer to work. For those who complain it doesn’t work, you can’t dump this on a pile of snow and expect an instant miracle. Don’t insult a quality product when you don’t use it properly. You need to shovel first. This is an ice melter, not a blowtorch or heater. A little goes a long way.

Product was good but in all honesty the scoop that came with it was embarrassing. It was so small it wouldn't be useful for anything but maybe in a coffee can you would literally have to make a hundred trips to cover half of a small driveway.

This actually melted the ice as I watched and my dog doesn’t have his usual irritated winter feet. Much better than the ineffective salt used by the snow service at my condo.
