I was on the fence about whether or not my cat would use this, but I am so glad I bought it! He lives this toy, and it looks pretty realistic too! The tail flaps and he loves it. He walks past it, swats it, then watches it before diving in to join the fish, writhing and flopping around together. Keeps him entertained!

I bought the Carp & came back for the Red Koi. One cat only likes the Carp lol. My other cat couldn't be bothered with either. My cat who DOES love it, doesn't like much in life, so it was a BIG DEAL that she took to the fish with such interest. Her excitement lasted less than two weeks. That's okay. I put the fish away and I take them out periodically so it's a new encounter for her. The charge lasts a long time! Kudos to the company on that!! I can imagine kittens would go berserk for this! My two cats are older and prefer to be entertained while laying comfortably. I was thrilled when one cat showed sincere interest! I recommend these flipping fish!

This review is for the "realistic" version of Potaroma Cat Toys Flopping Fish. My cat got bored with it pretty quickly, but it was fun to watch the interaction while it lasted. I do believe that the included catnip was old as she didn't really seem to have much reaction to it. The catnip is included, but is contained in a cloth bag inside the fish so I would guess that it's potency had been drained before arriving to our house. I'm not a catnip expert, but maybe if it had been shipped in a plastic bag and transferred by the owner into the cloth bag, it would be more effective. I may pick up some fresh catnip at the pet store to see if it makes a difference. The action of the fish works well. It lays still until interacted with and it starts flopping it's tail for a few seconds and then stops unless the cat is batting or biting at it. Everything seems pretty durable and it's nice that it is rechargeable rather than having to buy batteries for it every time you turn around. Overall, it's a pretty cool and fun item. I'm just a little disappointed that the catnip had already lost it's charge.

This motorized cat toy is great for entertaining your kitty. Maks loved grabbing it and laying on his back to kick it with his back feet. Wish I had a video to share! This toy is a little annoying with the sound it makes while flapping but his enjoyment playing with it outweighed the annoyance.

My cat ADORES this toy. I’ve bought it twice now - first one lasted 8 months - not bad. Second only has only lasted 3 months. So disappointed!

Now, I’ve been around the block, chased a few tails, and between me and you shredded a few couches—so trust me when I say I know a good toy when I whack one. And this Potaroma Cat Toys Flopping Fish Carp? OH. MY. WHISKERS. Let me tell you, the first time I saw that fish flop, I was like, “Who put a fish into my living room?” I even tried to play it cool, like, “Pshh, I knew that thing wasn’t real.” and walk away, like I was cool. But the second I did, it started wiggling again… so I pounced, as I'm a cat, and I got to do my catting. And let me tell you, it wiggles! Every time I smack it, it flops around like it’s having some kind of fishy meltdown, which is, quite frankly, hilarious. 🐟 Oh, and that *silvervine and catnip combo*! Hoomans, I’m not saying I’m addicted, but let’s just say I’ve… spent some quality time drooling over this fish now. Something about that scent turns me into a majestic predator in my own mind. I’m suddenly a Black Panther hunting in the jungle, ... but actually, in reality I'm a house cat, 2 inches from a sofa... And you know what’s extra great? This fish has some staying power. My paw claws have met their match. I’ve bunny-kicked it, chewed on it, thrown it across the room—and this floppy wonder is still flopping. Bottom line? Potaroma has done the impossible. They’ve brought the joy of fish-flopping straight to my paws, minus the water (thank you very much, I do detest water). If you have a 🐾 furball friend 🐾who deserves the finest in fish-flopping fun—get this toy. But don’t blame me if they start plotting to take down *actual* fish. 😼🐟

Play Video Unfortunately I can't add a second video, but both my grey and orange cat LOVE this product!! I wish I had purchased it sooner! It comes with a little card telling you that you need a USB-C to USB cable (this is specific, as a USB-C to USB-C *will not* work) but they send you the cable and offer to send you an adapter if you need one, which I thought was super cool! The battery pack charges super fast, like maybe 10-20 minutes? I didn't time it, but the fact the battery lasts hours off a 15 minute charge is crazy good! Material is soft, not scratchy and seems to be able to withstand even the hardest of bunny kicks from my cats, but on the off chance they destroy it, I will 100% be buying a replacement toy from this company! TL;DR: Buy the toy! I seriously could not recommend this enough! Worst case, your pet may be a little scared of it at first but they may warm up to it! 💝💝

Apparently my cats have no use for a floppy fish. It does work well, keeps a charge for a while , I have knocked into it and it goes off days after I have charged. I put catnip on it and one of the cats was slightly interested. Then walked away. I guess either they like it or they don't. We all know how fickle they can be. The quality seems good. Wish I had a better review saying they loved it and were entertained.

I bought it for our puppy. He really liked playing with it but he chewed the zipper off and was pulling the fish apart so we had to throw it out. Suppose to be 2 in the box but only received 1. Received a refund.

Unfortunately the only thing I can say about this toy fish is that I am hugely disappointed. Firstly, it came in a plastic bag, with no instructions and no way of knowing if the switch was in off or on position. I charged it for about 2 hours, and after flicking the switch back and forth, it eventually moved it's tail once. That is all the movement it's given. So now I have wasted my money on a dead (dud) fish that has no interest appeal for my cat.
