These only arrived two days ago. They were well-packaged and came with very good instructions as to how to introduce the boots to your dog, as many dogs do not like their feet handled and are uncomfortable at first with having something put on their feet. The instructions are excellent in that they have you introduce the boots in a very gradual, positive, no-pressure manner that should take several days or multiple steps over fewer days. I followed the instructions and knew I had limited time because of the severe cold temperatures and wind chills, along with fresh snow, that were predicted. I have a pretty compliant dog who is trusting, and as I followed the instructions, it was easy to introduce the boots. I put all four on this morning, snugged up the velcro fasteners, and let him walk around the house a bit with them before we went outside for a little while. The boots were easy to put on. The velcro straps were easy to snug up. They appeared to give good traction although my dog did have a foot slip once or twice on icy spots but not badly. Snow did not get into three of the boots but did get into one, and I think that I neglected to snug the velcro straps sufficiently on that one. All the boots stayed on and in place as we walked on our sidewalks, in the snow in the road where cars had packed it down, and in the 8" of unpacked new snow in the yard. I am very happy with these. My dog seems comfortable in them and they certainly prevented him from any limping or other indication of feet that were too cold. He does not have hairy feet and is prone to have problems when the temperature/wind chill goes down close to zero and there is fresh snow. Those conditions were no problem with these boots today.

I purchased the QUMY Dog Shoes in size 7 for my 70 lb active, mixed-breed dog, and they were a solid choice for his first cross-country skiing outing! Like most dogs, he was a bit wary of the boots at first, but he adjusted quickly and was soon frolicking in the snow. Key Features: Protective Rubber Soles: The soles are durable and provided excellent protection for my dog’s paws. They kept him warm and safe from the snow and icy terrain for hours. Good Quality Materials: The boots feel sturdy and well-made, which gave me confidence that they could handle rough outdoor activities. Comfortable Fit (Mostly): The size 7 worked well for his front paws, but the back boots had trouble staying on despite tightening them multiple times. This was a bit frustrating, but it didn’t stop him from enjoying himself. Real-Life Experience: We bought these boots specifically for cross-country skiing, and they delivered in terms of warmth and protection. My pup’s paws stayed dry and free from ice buildup, allowing him to run and play without discomfort. However, I’d recommend checking sizing carefully or possibly using additional straps to help keep the back boots secure. Final Thoughts: The QUMY Dog Shoes are a great choice for active dogs who need extra paw protection in snowy or icy conditions. Despite the back boots slipping off occasionally, the overall quality and performance were impressive. If you’re planning outdoor winter adventures with your pup, these boots are worth considering!

I've only used the shoes on my dog 4 times, once in snow. She got used to them fairly quickly until she was running. full out in them. She threw all 4 shoes off the first time she ran. I had to learn to put them on properly where they will stay. There is a flap between the more durable fabric that must be folded over behind the top front of the shoe. I also had to learn to use the Velcro properly. Once that was done, the shoes stay on. The problem now is the Velcro. After only 4 times, the Velcro is barely sticking. Today, I had to put 2 shoes back on due to this problem. I don't believe I will get many more uses from these shoes. Except for the Velcro, the quality of the material used in very good and the "rubber" soles hold up very well.

My dog is now eleven years old and her paw pads are more sensitive to hot and cold pavement. I followed the advice in the instructions about getting her used to wearing the boots and she likes her boots because boots mean treats. The boots fit well - MEASURE YOUR DOG'S FOOT MORE THAN ONCE WITH THEM STANDING NORMALLY. They are easy to get on and even though they are short, they stay on because of the two straps. On the front legs, I criss-cross the straps so they don't put too much pressure on the dew claws. She still walks a little goofy when we start out, but they stay on and her feet are protected.

The orders arrived quickly and the boots came in excellent/new condition. We ended up ordering 3 pairs, sizes 7, 6 and 5, because we have two dogs - a 75# retriever and a 50# spaniel/retriever mix - and both have larger front paws than back paws. The retriever has size 7 front, size 6 back and the spaniel/retriever mix has size 6 front and size 5 back. The size chart is accurate, just make sure you pencil the pawprint on paper with the dog's full weight down, so the paw spreads out as it normally would in walking (easier said than done, but worth it to get the size right!). And if your dog has bigger front paws, you may need two sizes of boots (two measurements). We bought these especially for the larger dog for now, because she suddenly developed fall allergies and had bad sores (we suspect the grass). She has received the allergy shot, but we needed her sores to heal and stay protected from the grass. We use baby socks from the dollar store (to keep the boots clean from ointments, etc.). We love the design of these boots, they are very well thought out: the double, reflective straps help the boots stay on, but don't hit at the dew claws (like other boots we've purchased, where the friction causes sores), the flap/tongue in front makes them easy to put on and take off, the flannel material inside is so much better than nylon or rubber, and the rubber sole is flexible enough that the dogs can still feel the ground. Our dogs just let us put them on now and the one with the allergies will even sleep with them - bonus, she can't chew or lick her paws with them on. When we know there'll be more in/out like early morning and at dinner time, we leave them on. So far neither dog tries to take them off or chew at them. Not sure yet how long they'll last, but we would buy these again, because they are that easy to use and fit that well. We bought these for healing paws, but will definitely try them for winter when there's salt on the roads as well. We are very happy with these boots, they are the best we've found.

Play Video These dog boots are excellent. We live in a heavy snow area (Barrie, ON) and these hold up great to snow, slush and general gross wet cold winter sidewalks. The double straps are great for keeping the boots on - I have not had one fall off yet. The double straps work so well be sure to not tighten them too much - made this mistake the first day of using them. The front of the boots are wide which is great for medium/large dogs. The bottoms also give good traction as my pups is able to go up and down on snowy hills. Overall a great purchase and you can't beat the price. Do follow the instructions on how to measure your pups paws - don't try to purchase these based on weight (for reference my dogs paws are 2.5 x 4 inches and I ordered a size 7).
