We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.

With the rise in crime and reckless driving, I decided to invest in a dash cam for added security and peace of mind. This device provides continuous front and rear recording, ensuring there’s always an extra set of eyes on my vehicle. To simplify installation, I purchased an OBD hardwire kit, eliminating the need to modify any fuses. The setup was straightforward—essentially plug-and-play. While routing the cables can be a bit tricky, the included trim tool made the process easier. One of the standout features of this dash cam is its ability to record overnight in low-power mode when hardwired. In fact, I’ve already captured footage of suspicious activity around my car. However, I found that the included SD card wasn’t optimal for long-term, high-definition recording. To address this, I upgraded to a high-endurance, weather-resistant SD card with larger storage capacity. The camera also offers Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing seamless video downloads via the app. Alternatively, you can remove the SD card and transfer footage to a computer. The video quality is excellent, even at night, though I do wish it had slightly better clarity for capturing license plates. Additionally, the built-in screen provides easy access to settings, video playback, and features like parking mode and impact detection. If you’re on the fence about investing in a dash cam—go for it. The added security and potential protection in various driving situations make it well worth the investment.

For someone like myself who is technology challenged I found the install of the camera and hardware easy. Adjusting the settings on the camera the first time with poor vision was a little challenging. The screen on the camera is very small and hard to see. The feature I like is the camera can be connected to your cell phone by internet and you can make adjustments on your phone. The down side of using your phone or computer is you have to connect the camera to WiFi every time you go into to make adjustments. The camera has great resolution front and rear camera. In time like everything else it’s gets easier to navigate through the camera settings. I didn’t find the written instructions very useful for the camera settings or connecting to the internet. I found plenty of good videos on YouTube that cover installation and camera settings. The camera has many features like GPS, motion control, being able to flag a particular video to name just a few. You need to have internet on your phone when you’re driving to go back to a previous video to view. I’m happy with the camera and I would purchase again.

It's my first dash cam, I spent several days looking over several and settled for this one. The biggest thing I hate is signing back on to WiFi every time you turn off your vehicle and starting it up again. A person has to reach the camera and either take it off the window mount or reach to the camera wherever that is. I wish it was Bluetooth and it just connected when you start the car. I guess you can get the kit to hardwire the camera and then it wouldn't need to go through all that but that's an extra cost and a pain to install. I'm 70 yrs old and I couldn't do that anyway. The good point is that when it's up and running and your phone is connected you can see whats going on with a bigger screen than the little 1"x 1.75" screen of the camera. I think it has a good picture, I watched some of the footage and if you had to use it for the intended use it would be very nice to have. I would give it an 8 out of 10 just because of the pain it is to get the camera connected to your phone WiFi. You don't need the camera to be connected to your phone to use it but that limits the purpose of having the WiFi you can still take the card out of the phone and watch it that way. After all that being said I do like the camera and hope it will last awhile.

Die Installation ist gut erklärt und denkbar einfach, mit dem ordentlichen verlegen von den Kabeln maximal 1 Stunde. Die Kamera macht ein super Bild, alles funktioniert einwandfrei, lediglich nachts könnte sie etwas empfindlicher sein, da die Kennzeichen von dem von hinten kommenden Verkehr schwer bis teilweise gar nicht zu erkennen ist. - dafür aber wenn sie vorbei gefahren sind durch die Frontkamera in der Regel, weshalb ich keinen Stern abziehen würde. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
