Moved into a new place that had a 1917 Glenwood Coal/Wood Burning Stove, with 6 griddle top, as the "kitchen stove". It had to go, and was replaced by a new Propane fired 5 burner from Samsung. Of course now the issue is how to add a light/exhaust fan over it. I looked all over the interweb and this Zomagas Range Hood was the ONLY one that had a 6" stove pipe adapter for the fan vent. With a little cutting on the old Glenwood stove pipe, and some hooks and corner chains to hold it up this Range Hood fit perfectly. Just what was needed, and it works great. Fan speed is good, lighting as well. Great product. I contacted the local sheet metal fab shop and finished it off with two angle pieces of brushed stainless and everyone says it looks like it's always been there.

It does the job, its a little loud but yet it is taking more of the smoke out, or cooking fumes out, overall good for the price and look pleasing, nice stainless steal, does the job.

Our first unit was broken due to a lighting strike to house. Purchased this. Installed with no issue and has been working for 1 yr plus.

This insert works PERFECTLY!!! We chose to use the ductless option and it's great! It's lightweight but powerful, not super loud and the lights are crisp and bright! The value is amazing!!! I definitely recommend this!!

My husband had to totally modify the 30"x 12" wall cabinet and it was an extremely tight fit. Otherwise it works perfectly. It was a little wider than the measurements given. If you use the template realize that there there are two measurements on the template, outer and inner. We knew that from previous reviews. Had to modify the valance to fit over the edge of the exhaust as well. Loving it just the same.

Out of the box, I was initially happy with this exhaust fan. I set it on my counter and plugged it in, and cycled through the buttons. A little loud on 3, but that is fine. As I was just starting my kitchen remodel, it went back in the box for when I was ready to install it. Fast forward to installation times, and upon reviewing the instructions, I realized that there were things that didn’t match up in the manual. First, there is a clear plastic piece that is not mentioned anywhere in the manual. After toiling over reviews, videos, etc. I came to the conclusion that it is probably a grease catch. There is a spot on the bottom of the motor that it fits onto. The ONLY reason I figured that out is by watching installation videos for OTHER brands of range hoods. I posted a picture of it, looking up from underneath. Second, I had lots of difficulty taking the outer panel off. Specifically, the plugs for the lights and switches were almost impossible to unplug. I busted my knuckles getting the lights unplugged, and I never got the switch plug apart. Using pliers to get a better grip just started to mangle the plastic plug, so instead I unscrewed the actual switches from the panel. Third, and most importantly, DO NOT use the template to cut your opening!! I made the mistake of believing that it would actually fit perfectly if I used the template, but it made the hole too big! Like, a good 3/4” too big. Luckily, I am building the enclosure from scratch, and was able to modify it, but. I used that template to save time (against my better judgment), and ended up wasting time having to start over. Trust me, throw that template away the minute you unpack the unit, and measure the opening yourself. Also, once you get that panel off, the edges are SHARP! Like, it should be mentioned in the safety section of the manual kind of sharp. Remember how I said I busted my knuckles trying to get the light plugs apart? Yeah, my hands are all cut up now. Onward to actual installation, now that the opening is the correct size: They give you 12 screws. And mention 12 spots to secure the range hood. But there are only 4. Not twelve.. FOUR. Trust me, I looked all over for other areas to screw this thing in. Nope. Four. Getting this thing installed was easy once I had everything the correct size (I’m still fuming about that), but do yourself a favor and add gloves and long sleeves to the list of tools you will need. I’ve come to the conclusion that you have to possess a fair amount of problem solving skills to install this thing yourself. The instructions are obviously printed for every single model of exhaust hoods in their line, and you cannot rely on them for some models. I guess they just didn’t want to go to the expense of printing an instruction manual for each style..? Regardless, after all of that… a bunch of sweating, bleeding, and swearing- and lots of reading/watching videos, I’m happy to finally have an exhaust fan for my kitchen. Lawd help me if a bulb goes out, though.

Item is smaller than described. Amazon's customer service refused to take feedback provided and hung up on me several times. Very disappointed.

It's ok but it arrived with a huge dent on the front corner. I wasn't going to return it and wait for a new one as it would hold up the kitchen install. I had to use a block of wood and hammer to try straighten it back out, I should have got a discount or something...
