Love this camera - Doorbell Pro w/Chime and two way talk. Wonder how I lived without it!!! Took the place of a home security company charging me monthly. I'm in an apt w/a covered front walkway and attached garage. EVEN SO .... with the audio MOTION SENSOR ... it pics up movement and words up to2- 30 feet away, so the camera tells my phone to alert me that someone is approaching my door wayyy before they are in sight and the camera begins recording their face! This camera has a WIDE field of vision, and floor to sky view. I see my packages and the overhead lights of my covered walk-way. It paid for itself 3 days after mounting, when an unscheduled pest control man came and TRIED to peel off my Ring Sticker warning him he's about to be on film; still, he tried to dismount my camera, while talking to it, unaware he was audio recorded as well as video recorded. It comes with 30 days of free history but I can take a screen shot if needed of any event going on. But so far, chimes notifying my cell ahead of time, gives sufficient time for me to react appropriately. Even if not home, I can call police if needed. (I reported the guy for tampering w/my personal equipment). I can leave pre-recorded short audio messages after they press the "Ring" button; if home, it tells them, "please wait a minute" (or various options), as well for "away" messages; choosing either a male or female voice using "we/us" v. "me/I" (as if alone). A MUST HAVE in todays evil world. I'd strongly suggest mounting on doorframe with screws it comes with v. its tape alone, even if in an apt, as I am. Have one on my 1st floor back patio also. Now, I feel a level of security, that despite my faith in God to protect me, this was an added layer of protection I needed after an abusive marriage and hard divorce that required a 2-Year Protective Order, as he's a stalker! GET THIS CAMERA and A 2ND BATTERY to keep charged!!! A few dollars more is peace of mind that's PRICELESS!!! Stay Safe! Peace! :)

I like the product as I needed a battery model as I don't have a door bell wire. I don't like that you have to pay $50/yr to answer, talk and view saved clips. But I knew what I was buying. I bought 2 others product doorbell to try and found no subscription met my needs. I did have to purchase an extra storage device for the other 2 to work. Still this has some nice feature and good video. The battery last around 2 months for me.

Overall I am satisfied with the purchase so far. Mainly got this due to the larger aspect ratio (head to toe) support. I tried the standard Ring Battery Doorbell (2024) and the image quality was poor on that one, but this one it was much better. The standard one had a washed out image, where this one remained clearer in brighter sunlit areas. The birds eye view is neat, however the distance that it can detect motion is vastly decreased in this mode (maybe 15 to 25 feet out at best. Pros: - Great aspect ration allows you to see the entire doorstep - Advanced features are nice, but a bit gimicky due to limited distance - Better picture quality than previous versions (Video Doorbell 2, and Battery Doorbell) - Easy install Cons: - Not smartthings compatible - A bit thick and bulky, same as older units but would have been nice to see this in a slimmer body - Lack of color options to purchase (you can only get the silver and then have to buy all other color plates seperately). However they sell the standard in both silver and bronze, but not the pro version. - Motion detection distance is very short for advanced features (birdseye) - Fit and finish is not as good with corner unit as the Video Doorbell 2

One draw back is the ongoing monthly or yearly subscriptions. If I knew that before buying. I would have brought another brand ( which is not as good video or communications) but no ongoing costs. But more than happy at the moment as we are in the free month.

I can see everybody coming up the driveway. I can talk to them through the Mark best thing I’ve ever bought.

I was excited to upgrade to this doorbell, especially with the new head-to-toe view feature. However, the image quality from the wide-angle lens is noticeably worse than the previous Doorbell 4. The Doorbell 4 had excellent dynamic range, colours and details, *even with HDR setting turned off*. In contrast, this new model produces flat images with consistently overexposed skies. I purposely keep HDR off on my doorbells to conserve battery life, as it is already subpar with most Ring doorbell models even with the solar add-on. Additionally, I frequently encounter problems with recording when there is motion. Often, the footage displays gray blocks or goes completely black, missing important moments. This is not due to my network, as I have a strong internet connection with a mesh system and the doorbell is close to a mesh satellite. I am hoping a firmware update will address these issues. I’ve seen similar complaints from other users on Reddit. Given the higher price, the worse picture quality, and the current recording problems, I’m not sure if this upgrade is worth it, especially with its "Pro" branding.
