I bought this charger to conveniently charge my Ring camera batteries to have fully charged batteries on hand when a battery change in one of my Ring cameras is required. Sadly, *both* of these chargers (I have 2) malfunctioned. One side/port still works while the other no longer fully charges the battery. I am updating my initial review from 1 to 3 stars as Ring customer service has come through and is sending me replacements for both defective charging stations at no charge. I will update to 5 stars if those keep working! Thanks Ring customer service! UPDATE: So far, both chargers are working well. Ring Customer Service is great even for items sold on Amazon by them (unlike many other vendors). Totally recommend this product and other Ring products bc Ring will make sure their products work and if not will help and replace product. FIVE STARS!

If you have battery operated Ring you should have this too. I don't know why it's taken till now to see this battery charger and order it, but it's a game changer for us. We have two cameras that are battery operated. We could not hard wire or plug them in because of their location. One does have a solar panel to recharge but in the cold weather and cloudy days, sometimes it just doesn't get recharged quick enough. Now it's easy to pull it down, get the battery out and drop in this charger which is always set up and ready. We recharge and are back in business. In fact we ordered an additional battery so change out and recharging is about as easy as you can make it. Glad we finally got around to doing this and the expense was minimal. Can't believe it took us this long.

Bought this in November and noticed recently that one side is no longer charging. I'm going to try to contact Ring, but there's nothing on the website support that helps, so guess I have to find someone to chat with about it. Chat support is a BOT and terrible, but I unplugged the station and plugged it back in and now it seems to be working again. It worked great for the first couple of months, easy to use, easy to store, and you can keep the batteries in the station as long as you need to.

First one received did not work at all and now this one has stopped charging and it has been less than a year! Amended-I love the charger for its ease and convenience. Ring sent a new charging station when it failed after a few months. I hope this one lasts a long time.

I was so excited to get this double charging station as I have several Ring products, some needing a recharge at the same time so in my head, this little charging station would simplify multiple cords/plugs when a couple needed juice at the same time. I put two batteries in/on the station early afternoon yesterday. There are tiny little blue lites, 4 of them, at each battery showing the level of power in each battery and the progress of the charging. They blink until that level of charge is completed, then become solid, then the next lite blinks until that level is charged and on and on until all four lites are solid. They charged OVER NIGHT until the next morning, approximately 16 hours, more than enough time to reach full charge. When using the double charger, you're not able to see the two lites on the battery and if you are familiar with Ring and the batteries, there are two lites above the "push" removal metal tab on front of the battery, one green on top and an orange lite below that. We all know batteries are to be charged until the orange lite goes out and only the green lite stays on, according to Ring user manuals, which for me, takes 6-8 hours to reach a full charge. It's consistent, always 6-8 hours being down 15-30% when the app lets me know to charge. Back to this double charging station.....after the 16 hours, the 4 little blue lites were lit solid on the charger, out of curiosity, I plugged the battery into the orange charging cord that comes with Ring devices and guess what.....IT'S NOT FULLY CHARGED and at the time of this review, 3+hours on the orange cord, the batteries are still showing the orange lite which means it is not fully charged. So, had I not just wanted to verify full charge which lasts over a month, I woulda climbed that 10' ladder to switch out the batteries to possibly find out tonight that climb was for nothing or I'd be climbing up again in a few days for another charge. It's doubtful the station is defective, it's not a knock off, it's a Ring station however, the batteries just "sit' or rest in slots, on the connections on the bottom which may or may not be sufficient but in my head, I was expecting them to "click" into place, to be held with pressure to the contacts, like they do in the product....I'm not a science professor so my rationalizations may be retarded but the setup to charge seems insufficient to me. I'll be sending it back and just use the little orange charging cords when I need a charge. So disappointed!!!!

As promised by ring... but note that you don't need it. The batteries can be charged directly.
