I wanted to wait a couple of months of usage before sending out a review. The systems arrived in two separate boxes. Overall, I was impressed with the packaging. Each component piece of equipment was wrapped tightly and compartmentalized to avoid movement during shipment. Both boxes were damaged during shipment with two large holes but remained secure with no damage inside. Install was a breeze if you use common sense. Don’t depend on the supplied manual. It is not well written and will further confuse you especially when you come to the cable layout. I was able to complete the system in under 2 hours. I found that the cables had a lot of drag when I first used them.I strongly recommend that you spray cable wheels and cables with a WD-40 Specialist DRY Lube (DO NOT USE A WET LUBRICANT) make sure that you wipe all cables and wheels to ensure evenness. Makes a BIG difference in the smooth functionality of the cable system. Overall, the system is a quality fabrication. However, not sure why RITFIT scrimped on plastic cable wheels versus metal. I noticed others had mentioned the same concern in other threads. I plan to change them out for metal ones. I highly recommend the RITFIT system, it is a great addition to my home gym and certainly well worth the money. Now for the negative which is not a fault of RITFIT. The contract shipper is terrible. I happened to be out of town when the shipment arrived. The delivery person offloaded both boxes (about 150lbs each) against the middle of my closed garage door haphazardly with no regard to the weather. I had to call from afar and provide access to two of my amazing neighbors who gratefully secured and muscled them into my garage. I’m very thankful- there could have been a worse outcome. Lessons learned.

Loving it! Perfect for my space, smooth pulley movement. Very sturdy. Cables move nicely. Landmine attachment is placed a little weird, but workable. Wish there were more hole positions, but it’s great for the price.

Recently purchased the 1.6k package. Overall this system is exactly what I need for my garage gym. Put it on an 8×8 DIY platform and with the price of the package and platform totalling about $1,700 I couldn't be happier. The rack is sturdy, assembled in under two hours with just one person (directions recommend two and there are a few steps where that makes sense, but wasn't difficult alone). I've had the rack for a little over a month now and am very happy with it. Not needing to commute to the gym (35 min) or pay a membership, the package will pay for itself in no time. My only reason for giving a 4 star rating is the timing of arrivals. The cage arrived in two boxes and a set of 45lb plates, earlier than expected, which is great. The following day the bench arrived. I was notified by the seller that the remaining plates were out of stock, but should arrive shortly and we worked out a deal for a small refund for the inconvenience. The remaining plates arrived today (about 4 or 5 weeks out from initial order) not a huge deal, but a bit annoying. Overall, had it not been for the delay in receiving the order in full I would have given 5 stars. Customer service was great, cage is nice, just what I wanted, the bench is good (my one issue is that it doesn't have a space for leg attachments, but I plan on purchasing one for the rack itself so not a huge deal), bar is sturdy, plates are solid. Long story short I would recommend. Great value for the money.

9 month later EDIT: Overall, Im pleased with the cage but the pulley system, while useful, isnt perfect. Cage is still the same price as 9 mos ago $1599-$180. PULLEY SYSTEM: Eh. mixed bag. The sled is a bit flimsy. The pulleys have bearings that are the wrong size for the bolts so there are plastic inserts that go inside the bearings. Heavy weight distorts these plastic bushings and the pulleys end up slipping into an akward angle. Not ideal. HOWEVER, it still works fine. I cant feel these issues when Im lifting. Im considering replacing them probably at a cost of ~$75. Also, the pulley system gives such a good mechanical advantage that most pulley movements require a lot of weight. For example, Ill put 45s and 10s for tricep pushdowns. If Im doing pulldowns Im maxing out the and sled. This means a lot of moving big plates for cable work. Just something to consider. STABILITY: I bolted down the system but the metal clamps that are used to bolt down are too thin and dont go around the 2" square tubing. This means the cage can still sway a bit. I expect it wouldnt be too hard to buy better square tube braces for locking down the cage to the concrete. When weight is up high (squat / inclined bench) there can be some sway and movement. Nothing alarming but its there. I think adding a support from the wall to the side of the top of the cage could be useful. BENCH: I changed my mind on the bench, slightly. Its more useful than I expected but the mechanism for adjusting the seat and back are sketchy. I feel like as Im sitting down I could accidently lift the seat or back with my legs which would make the seat/bench collapse. You cant move the bench without it collapsing due to these mechanisms. Its useful, but a pain. ------------------------------- I just purchased and installed the orange Package 1.5K (With RP 230LBS) for 1420 freedom bux. Here are my initial thoughts on this equipment. tldr: Im pleased with the quality - go for it. Firstly, it should be self-evident that Ritfit is offering a LOT of kit to be shipped, for free* (costs included in amazon and price), to your house for a very reasonable amount of money. They are trying to hit a price point for the home market and that comes with compromises over professional equipment. This is by design and not a flaw - some reviewers forget that. The question is, do they COMPROMISE in the right areas? We shall see. PACKAGING / SHIPPING / ORGANIZING / INSTRUCTIONS: No complaints. Shipping was fast enough (within 2 weeks) with packages arriving on different days. The weights were double boxed and the cage and accessories were well wrapped and packaged. A long package had some holes from shipping and a tiny scratch or two made it onto a piece or two but all of this was minor and expected on such a heavy, shipped package. The instructions were good enough with the hardware vacuum sealed and marked for each step in the instructions - very nice. There are some slight diagram issues with the instructions but just use your head, its very intuitive. Hardware seemed skookum enough. WEIGHTS: Im very pleased with these weights; they seem high quality. They are overmolded with a durable plastic material with metal sleeve inserts. The grips feel great in the hand and they slide very nicely over the barbell. The weights were very made with high precision and only one weight had a different mass from its pair. This is terrific for a value set! 10s weigh (10.2 lbs each) 25s weigh (25.8 lbs each) 35s weigh (35.0 and 36.2 lbs) 45s weigh (45.2 each) **COMPROMISE 1: The weights are are covered in some sort of grease. I expect its a release agent for the mold when the overmolding is applied to the metal weight. Its a problem and needs to be removed. I used a bucket and some dish soap and it cleaned up with no issues. I might go over them again with a windex or something. Cleaning these at the factory may by expensive, which is why I consider this a compromise, not necessarily a negative. CAGE: The cage goes together well enough and seems stable and secure. Although, there were some pieces that had to be 'percussively' assisted into place. Its 1/16th steel and most welds seem decent, especially in important areas. The paint job is well applied and is even on the inside surface of the holes meaning it was painted after the piece was complete - good work. The pullup bar handles 225+ with no issues. The cage does wobble with minimal, top, horizontal agitation but 4 concrete expansion bolts are included and I have NOT used them yet. Also, Im atop 0.5" rubber/foam pads so take that as it is. Still, the wobble has not been an issue as most force will be applied vertically. I will return with info on how the unit performs once anchored down. Overall, the cage looks and performs well. TIPS: dont over tighten nuts enough to crush/deform square tube. The front vertical arms do have a left and right orientation - if you care where the stop-knobs are placed. You need real tools to put this thing together. Dont attempt it with their included 'tools' unless you really must. **COMPROMISE 2: The pieces are not perfectly aligned. Based on reviews, you may even need a replacement part. I expect they are hand welded and there is no budget for something like a dry fit before shipment. That would be a huge cost to implement and its something at this price point you have to deal with. On the positive side - RITFIT seems to know this and seems quick to assist with issues. CAGE ACCESSORIES: The accessories such as the J-hooks, landmine, and spotter arms slide in well and seem well built. We will see how the plastic material on top of the J-hooks and spotter arms wear over time. I wish the 'row foot tube' extended further away from the pulleys as its difficult to get a good stretch with rows. Im going to include the non-chromed short bar and wide bar as cage accessories here. I think they are hollow tube construction with no rotating segment for connecting to the cable and are a cheap addition to the set. **COMPROMISE 3: For the row being such an important movement, the foot tube and pulldown bars are pretty cheap and poorly implemented. I likely wont be using these. Ill have to repurchase bars and design something better for my feet for rows. BENCH: The bench is heavy and put together well. But I dislike this bench; its too wide and the foam is not comfortable. But others may take no issue with it. CABLE SYSTEM: I think I need to break in this system a bit and put on some real weight before coming to judgement on this system but for now here is what I think. Pulleys and cables seem like a decent quality for this setup. There is a little slop on the movable sleds that hold the handles but I dont think its a concern. Overall, Im expecting it to be pleasant and reliable to use. That being said: I do have initial concerns, the weight sled has plastic sleeves which the weights slide on to, these should be metal. However, there are metal 1" bars underneath the plastic sleeves so maybe you can use your 1" weights for this setup? So is this a positive? Ya, maybe. The chrome vertical bars that the weight sled slides on are not secured to the cage at the bottom. They just hang from single bolts from the top and slide into holes, with slop, in the bottom of the cage. Is this structurally sufficient? Probably, they are only horizontal guides to the sled, but Id prefer for it to be locked down from both ends (which also would stiffen the cage) and I might drill some holes to do this myself. Because of these things, you cant load one side of the sled as it applies an asymmetric load to the setup and you can feel the increase in friction in the cable system. You can do it, but only at low weight and it seems like in the long term its not advisable. Some of the attachments come awfully close to the cable pulleys and I worry about abrasion or hitting the pegs of those attachments. But no actual issues so far. **COMPROMISE 4: The weight sled and guides seem lower quality/design than the rest of the system meaning you cant load heavy weights asymmetrically. The significance of these compromises are yet to be seen and its possible no major issues arise. CABLE ACCESSORIES: The chromed bars included with the cable system are great. They are solid metal with rotating connection segments with rubber (or rubberlike) grips. These feel like what you would handle at a professional gym. So why are the black pulldown/row bars so bad!? 7 FT BAR: Feels like a top of the line 7ft bar that you would lift at the gym. No problems. Great compression clips come with it. COMPANY / SUPPORT: A+ for RITFIT so far. I contacted support about multiple boxes not showing up on the same day and a second time for a small bent piece. They contacted me immediately, explained the situation, and replaced the piece with no delay or hoops to jump through. Apparently, no compromises have been made on support which is essential for big purchases like this - Keep it up RITFIT. IMPROVEMENTS / THOUGHTS: -I wish they included a pair of 5lb weights. -Id like to see some of the items removed from the set and others increased in quality. I think the band pegs and the land mine are something that could be purchased separately. The hollow tube row bars are subpar - those could be improved instead. The short black pushdown bar could be removed as its redundant with the chrome bar. I also think making the bench a separate purchase would be better, imo. -Id like to see a different spotter/bar arm included with the cage. Something shorter than the spotter arms with a vertical segment that I can slap the bar up against when racking the bar. As it stands now, the cage is your backstop. - A better weight sled. CONCLUSION: Im happy so far and for the price this is a pretty dope setup. I mean, shipping must be half the cost! I think RITFIT did a good job compromising where they needed too while keeping the cost down. I can get in this cage and Im not questioning my safety - thats important. Ill post back in 6 mos with an update. Im off to get swole.
