I canceled the cable TV last summer and one by one all of the apps that I watch on my computers have stopped working unless you have Windows 10 and all of mine were running on Windows 7 and could not be upgraded. And my barely ever used Kindle died all of a sudden one month out of the warranty period. My Samsung Smart TV I found out was a 2012 model and after spending hours on the phone with technicians from Hulu the cable company, the Samsung technician told me that they are no longer supporting the Wi-Fi in my TV and that I would need to attach an external internet source like Nintendo Prime cable or Roku to watch content ( nothing could be connected through the TV any longer without the Wi-Fi being supported). I guess my Amazon was listening because it popped up with Roku Express that was on sale for $17.99. I had no idea that there was not a monthly subscription charge for Roku or that a Roku box could be purchased so cheaply! But also I had no idea if it was really going to work because various sources on the internet said it may not work Samsung Smart TV because of its age and not having the most up-to-date software etc. also my Samsung was not on the extensive list of compatible TVs. Lo and behold, it arrives in less than 48 hours from the purchase date and hooks up just as easily as they said it would! The only snag was when it would not connect to the internet and even though I was afraid I would never get it working- I followed the recommended troubleshooting steps and I was connected in less than 5 minutes! I have logged into several of my streaming apps and am happily catching up on all the shows I missed! This is a quality product that is easy to use and at a very affordable price! I'm very happy with my Roku Express purchase!

We have a really old smart TV that barely works aside from turning on. I got this as a last resort and it has saved our television. As long as we can turn it on, the Roku does all the rest of the work. It's super easy to set up, it connects to Wi-Fi no problem, it is very fast, the remote is perfect because it has our most used apps as shortcuts, the visual quality is great, and it's super affordable. We almost threw out our TV and got a new one. If it weren't for this, we would've wasted a ton of money!

Worked great once I set it up. Easy to set up. First ROKU lasted over 6 years and was used daily. The buttons started acting up, so I decided that it was time for a new one. Price was still very reasonable and the new ROKU works great!

I bought this for a flat screen old TV that's not wireless and it works really good. I don't have to use the antenna that you put in the back and put towards the window to get the channels because it gives you channels you know and plus for the price you can't complain it was easy to connect the size is perfect it's so little it's cute and it comes with a remote battery the wires that you need to get it running the only thing it doesn't come with is the part that you plug into the wall which is you can use anyone that you use to charge your phone like if you have one of those that you plug into the wall and you charge the other piece a piece that you charge I'm sorry that's it you can use any one of those and that's good enough. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has an older TV flat screen it works good, I wanted to mention that the remote controls like the you know the channels and whatnot and since this TV the remote was lost we bought one of those universal one and found the code it's an LG model and programmed it and it works great so with that said I'm pretty happy with it I also needed it because you know you have guests or family members coming over and I was like what am I going to do so I saw it and I said I read the reviews I read everything and I said I'm going to grab this and see how it works pretty cool so yeah definitely get it is easy on the wallet and so easy to install.

Perfecto para darle un plus a tu TV que no sea smartv , en caso de que tú smartv sea lenta igual podría gustarte , no se traba , no se alenta y no se traba (hace años había comprado uno y fue tan bueno que no dude en recomendarlo a mis suegros) , ahora ya tiene incluso un canal de contenido gratuito pero si quieres buenas series y películas tendrás que pagar una suscripción (no lo hagas para Amazoncofcof que últimamente está dando un pésimocofcof serviciocofcof)

I bought this item for my mother, it does not work! not youtube, not netflix, nothing!! it wont even open youtube without crashing. i dont know if i got a faulty one but this DOES NOT WORK!! I tried everything, making sure its updated, trying different tv's , different plugs, nothing worked

It doesn't have Bluetooth option

It is very useful for my projector. Video not hanging very fast loading. Over all good.
