So far, so good. The last time I purchased Roku was 2019 and it didn't last very long. So I thought I would try a more expensive one. I really like the backlight on the remote. Now I don't have to have the lights on to be able to locate the buttons. That's a great help. It was really easy to connect to my tv and seems like the apps do load faster. The picture quality is great. I don't really use the volume control because I have a sound bar so I can't speak to that. Being able to recharge the remote is a plus.

I purchased the Roku Ultra streaming device for a number of reasons, primarily due to its easy setup, backlit remote, rechargeable battery, and Bluetooth pairing to my wireless headphones. Once I set up the device, I found the menus relatively easily to navigate. Since I am an Amazon Prime Video user, I was pleased to see that the remote has a button for that app. All in all, I think I made a sound choice in spite of the rather high price. Over the long ran, it will have been well worth the cost!

TL:DR - made my TV and surround sound perform better. Super easy to setup and use especially if you already have a Roku account. 10/10 will buy one for every TV I own. I have a 3 year old 65” 4K Vizio TV. I’ve never been a big fan of Vizios “smart” tv features. It’s cumbersome and not easy to use. Finally after it crashing on me I pulled the trigger on the Roku Ultra. I wasn’t expecting much, but this little Roku made my TV function so much better. 10/10 will be purchasing one for every tv in our house. The ease of set up is amazing. If you already have a Roku account you don’t have to log into all of your individual apps again! It just does it for you!! The connectivity to WiFi is amazing and I’ve had zero issues with buffering at all. The picture quality of my tv is better then using the base OS and the sound quality with my surround sound is noticeably better. I can’t recommend this product enough.

This is the best Roku player yet. It plays the clearest pictures, no lag times or any Pettibone over the past year. It has a back-lit remote that lights up when touched, along with voice control and no batteries needed. Just recharge the remote which lasts a very long time. What I love is that it allows you to connect Bluetooth headphones, which I've really been sold on. The Roku is super easy to install, quick delivery of movies with no real lag time. I like their Roku free channel that has really good TV and movies. Very easy to mirror screen. I've had a Roku since they came out and wouldn't use anything else. This actually makes my dumb TV smart, lolol. Please try it.

The Roku Ultra 2024 provides enhanced picture quality to my Sony TV, better than previous models. I somewhat hate the remote control; I miss the headphone plug and the 1 & 2 buttons. The remote feels good in the hand and is lighter with a lighted background. You thought the old remote was hard to find, this baby slips into my seat cushions like grease lighting. The good thing about the Roku Ultra 2024 is it is compatible with the older remotes, so I still have headset abilities. I use it mainly for YouTube TV, and 4 others streaming services, and it works great. Off course, like other models it does lock-up on occasion and needs a quick unplugging to clear its flaws. Lastly, when I end the night watching YouTube TV and just turn the Roku box off, when I come back the next day, the Roku box still sitting at the programming I left the night before. I can pick up where I left off, i.e. on that terrible basketball game I was watching. That is weird to me! Finally, the one hidden charm of the Roku service is the 1000 channels of weird and wonderful programming. Anything from Pickleball to the 4000 episodes of the Price is Right “the Barker era. Take a stroll down memory lane!

If you know Roku, you know why this is 5 stars. I had this activated, on the wifi, and ready for streaming on multiple services in minutes; it took longer to physically unbox and plug it in than it did for setup. Tough to beat that. The trouble with a smart TV is eventually the apps will not be updatable and you're stuck with this nice panel that can't talk to as many things as you'd like, but still works. The Roku box is a tremendous workaround; I ran the original Roku for over ten years before it started to fail, and that was a device launched in 2008. We're not made of money, and I'd rather replace a little device once a decade than a whole TV. The Roku Ultra is a similar footprint to a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray, and is less than an inch high--very easy to place around the legs/feet of a TV. This replaces an older Roku 3, and I am very pleased with the app launch speed, the device stability (no crashes so far), the backlit remote, and the ease of use. I also like not being beholden to replaceable batteries in the remote. I think I've charged it once (did not take long to charge), and I like that it's USB-C like so many other devices. I also really appreciate how well it interfaces with a rather fancy stereo receiver. I also appreciate that Roku has maintained a really robust app. Don't want to select one letter at a time to tap in that password? Neither do I: use the app and have your whole keyboard.

I owned a previous Roku version. The upgrades are great. Faster, better quality picture, best apps, and I love the new rechargeable and backlit remote. It’s the best streaming device on the market. My televisions are older, but still work great. The smart tv service on them has been dropped by the manufacturer due to age. Nothing like trying to get you to buy a new TV, right? I opted to get a Roku instead. I couldn’t be happier.

Really like the Roku because it is a great product and the ultra just shines as one of the best interactions with a different services I use for TV. Has great human factors designed so that things are easy to figure out and use. I prefer this over the USB plug-in ones for whatever reason seem to Run a little bit hotter, but I do live near the ocean and maybe salt air has some effect on those things. I have Roku on all my TVs, but I prefer the ultra as the best interaction.
