We're going on a trip soon where we'll be jumping into some natural waterfalls and it is recommended that we wear water shoes. I've had water shoes before and so far not a fan. They're tight and ugly, making my feet look like a squishmallow (like rock climbing shoes). Searched on Amazon and saw these. Hey! The pics online actually looked pretty neat. They reminded me of those funny shoes with toes. I read the reviews and everyone said they were the most comfortable shoes ever. So, I drank the koolaid and bought a pair for me (white) and a pair for hubby (grey/green). We just tried them on..... So, I'm normally a size 7 (women's) and my feet are wide. For slippers, I fit into a 6. So I took a chance and ordered size 37 (which is honestly the normal EU size for me, but being that these are made in China, who knows what I'll get). Hubby is normally a size 10 (men's) and his feet are very slightly narrower than normal. So again, we took a chance and ordered him size 42 (besides, the size 9.5 wasn't even available as an option). Holy mother of metatarsals what sorcery is this? I put these on my feet and they felt like a soft hug! Wow! And they fit! At first I thought...oh no, they're a bit BIG. But I was sitting and so when I stood up, my toes went to the tip of the shoe. Remember how I said my foot is wide? Well oddly enough, I had to pull the straps really tight so that they'd feel more secure. This is the only downside: Because I tightened the straps quite a bit, there's a lot of extra elastic (6-8" lenght) that is going to dangle around the top of my foot (see pic). So a lot of creative tucking it in is necessary. Hubby's shoes fit him perfectly. He didn't have to tighten his as much. Very impressed by the construction of the soles; they feel sturdy and solid and flexible yet thick enough to prevent sharp rocks from poking through. I also love the shape of the toe box. It's a square shape but flattering (on me as my foot is wide). Plus, because of the mesh fabric, stitching, and detail, the shoes look like stylish athletic shoes and not plain neoprene water shoes like the kids wear. They are also extremely light and have holes in the bottom for drainage. The fabric is super soft and stretchy and they are a snap to put on. Super awesome! Not gonna lie: I don't even have socks this comfy. Could I have gone a size down? I probably could but because of my wide feet, that would be too risky. If you are a size 7 naturally with narrow feet, I tend to think yeah...you may want to consider sizing down a half size. But my toes hit the tip of the toe box when standing up and I don't want them to overhang. Any tighter and they may fit but they won't look good imo. I could see why people want to wear these all the time. They're so comfy, I bet you can even sleep in these.

The sock-like design provides a natural, barefoot feeling while still offering protection. They’re incredibly comfortable to wear for long periods. • The quick-drying fabric is a lifesaver, especially when transitioning from water to land activities. No soggy shoes here! • Perfect for a variety of activities—beach, swimming, kayaking, hiking by rivers, or even pool days. They handle all terrains with ease. • The durable sole protects my feet from sharp rocks, hot sand, and slippery surfaces while still being lightweight and flexible. • The sleek, minimalistic design works for everyone, and there are plenty of color options to suit different tastes. SEEKWAY water shoes are the perfect blend of comfort, functionality, and style. They’ve become a staple for all my outdoor and water-based activities. Highly recommend for anyone who loves staying active and needs reliable, versatile footwear!

I bought these for a trip to Belize and wore them both tubing on a sandy-bottomed river and on a hike up a mountain to a waterfall. They were amazing! Everyone else got sand on their water shoes, but not me! The elastic around the top kept all sand out. Climbing up the mountain, other people had slipping problems- either on the trail or their feet slipping inside their shoes. Not me! No problem at all: great traction. The trail was red clay so my white shoes were pretty stained by the time we were finished. I ran them through the washing machine in a lingerie bag and they came out nearly back to their original white. They are so comfortable; I really appreciate being able to tighten them up around my feet, yet they are very roomy in the toes. They seem to run a little big, but I’d rather a bit of extra room than too small. Great shoes!

My favorite cross training and row shoes - sock mesh weave upper tightly wrapped over bridge of the foot, but just the right amount of give around toes and footpad, let foot splay while jumping around, doing burpees, and lifting, with only the slightest slide inside the sole. Side to side jumps have the slide so narrow feet people should be a little cautious there, but the rest of the shoe works great. Lightweight, no socks required, just throw in the wash, minimalist barefoot experience, feel every rise and crack in the pavement but just enough puncture protection for quick outings. The rubber sold protection isn’t city-proof (a riverbed is one thing, a major metropolitan area, another). I would NOT recommend for daily outdoor foot use, but a short walk home or a quick run round the block between sets, works great. And good practice with your feet muscles - I was sore, a good sore, my first week wearing these, coming from traditional foam shoes, but after a year+ of working out in these, my feet can fine tune balance at any drop and on any surface. Amazing. They’re beat-down durable. For the low price, I was shocked how well they stood up. I always have two rotating pair, one for cross training, one for rowing, each two days a week for 1-1.5 hours, and both pairs fall apart at a steady pace. Rowing is the hardest on them, but cross training does it too. First to go, 2-3 months in, is that little black insole that comes with it. Friction, heat, and water warp it and start to curl the fabric weave layer off. Once the weave layer is peeled and the insert is completely curled, I toss it and use the shoe without. Next to go, 8-10 months in, is the thick binding that binds the rubber layer to the shoe bottom at the heel. That starts to rip and on my rowing pair, where clips hold the shoe in place, the bottom rubber has come off half way down the shoe. That’s rowing 6-12 miles per week for a year, on a $30 dollar shoe: pretty damn good. Plus, for rowing anyway, you never completely pick up your feet, so you could feasibly use these without the rubber. I’m still gonna get another pair just so I can take that easy walk home and not have to worry about glass or street debris. I did take them ONCE to the river and they held up great, an easy day for them considering what I normally put these puppies through. The sock upper expanded and was no longer tight over my bridge. No little round tight marks. Adequate protection from smooth river rocks and the occasional stump, good grip, still a slight slide laterally in the sole but my feet are narrow. Easy to dash forward-backwards across wet rocks with zero shoe movement but that lateral slide made me avoid doing wide side jumps. The slide is also a function of how strong one's inner foot is, so I try not to blame the shoe too much. A lot of times, people expect shoes to do what they're feet are too weak to accomplish. Dry time much longer than from the row, place shoe upside down, soles up, and they’ll dry faster. All in all, my favorite gym, row, water shoe. $30 can’t beat it, I grab a pair every 8-12 months and throw the most shredded one away. I would NEVER take these on run longer than half a mile or into sandy boulder territory, but working out in other ways, perfecto.

These water shoes can be really expensive for what they are, however these are very reasonable and seem good quality. I work on a hospital ward so need something comfy and that are breathable, these are perfect.

I slipped and fell on an indoor pool deck and am lucky I didn’t seriously injure myself. The soles had no grip. I can’t recommend these and think it’s dangerous to advertise them as water shoes.
