These seriously work great on wood, plastic, and metal. They even come with alcohol wipes to prep whatever surface you put them on. The sticky tabs hold very well and do not come off unless you are acrually really trying hard to pull them off. They are easy to use, easy to install, and work very well to keep younger children out of places they shouldn't be. Absolutely a must for baby proofing.

Easy to use. Just clean your surface and stick one side on. Then line up where you want the other side and do the same thing. Well made and durable. Works great to keep our dog out of the trash can. I would recommend this

Wasn’t sure how well these were going to stick to painted cabinets but they have very strong adhesive and work great, love that they are adjustable length. Very easy to install, and work well to keep the cats out of the cabinets. I used them a little differently than the instructions but they work beautifully even on very old and painted surfaces

Got these to baby proof my cabinets because one of my cats loves to open them. This prevents him from getting into things he’s not supposed to! It’s easy to apply and sticks on really well. When I needed to remove it, I used a hair dryer to warm it up before prying it off

So my husband and I bought these straps about a year ago, and put them on all of our wooden cabinets in the kitchen, and on a couple of dressers (we also just bought another pack of them to put on more of our furniture) and the stickiness IS SO STRONG!!! Like, we accidentally put one in the wrong spot, and IMMEDIATELY tried to pull it back off to readjust, and it would not come off for the life of us. So just be aware of that! You'll need a razor blade and some Goo Gone to get it off. But I see that as a huge plus because the purpose of these straps is to be strong and not be able to be pulled off, and as far as the stickiness goes, 5 stars for sure. The actual strap part of it is also VERY strong, as well as the buckle part where you clip it in. My husband and I both tested them after putting them on, by pulling on the strap, and pulling on it closer to the buckle too, but it did not budge at all! So we've been super happy with them. They get DAILY use, dozens of times a day, and they are still perfectly in tact, and still clips into the buckle smoothly, almost a year later! I will say, we have to kind of shield the buckle with our hand when opening it because we have a very smart toddler who could probably figure out how to open it if she saw how we do it, so that's another thing for parents to be aware of, especially if you have a very smart toddler like we do. But overall, this is a 5 star product for sure. Just be sure that you follow the directions very closely because if you set the length at the wrong length that you want, there is no way to open it back up and re-set it. So just follow the directions, and make sure you correctly put it on the spot that you want the first time.

I found this product very user-friendly, and it serves its purpose effectively. However, I encountered an issue with two of the safety locks, which I promptly reported to the company. I'm pleased to acknowledge their excellent customer service, as they quickly replaced the problematic locks in response to my complaint.
