It does have a slight high pitch noise when working, but after using easily lights candles and fires without risk of breaking or burning yourself. It does not exude heat, but do not stick your fingers in the activated sight.

Price is good. Works pretty well to light candles. We don't use it daily but a fully charge appear to lasts a while. How to charge it is a bit odd, so far most cables and adapters don't work with it, all of my type C to type C cables with different adapters have not worked. You can tell by the light that turns on while it is charging. I recommend not throwing out the cable that comes with it, that seems to be the only cable used with a usb wall adapter that I have had luck with in regards to charging the device.

It quit working, so I assumed it needed a charge…but even after a full charge, the lights just flash when I press the button. Garbage. Edit to revise my previous review: The seller saw I had an issue with this item and offered some troubleshooting steps, then a replacement since that didn’t resolve the issue. The new one I received seems to be a slightly different/better version and is working fine. Thanks!

Functions as described and much easier to use than a traditional flame lighter. It is easy to handle and quite simple to operate. Have only used it a couple of times so I have no idea about the battery life or any charging issues of the unit. It is silent to use. Hopefully it will last a lifetime.

Would have given 5 stars but the box was damaged and I had purchased as a gift. Had to order a second one.

We use it indoors mainly for lighting scented candles [in a jar/container] that my wife buys regularly. No more mucking around with matches trying not to burn your fingers when the candle gets low. This thing lights up first time every time and is nice and long to get to the base of any candle in its container.
