I recently purchased the Indoor Plug-In Fly Trap, and I’ve been really impressed with its effectiveness and convenience. I live in an area where flies can be quite bothersome, especially during the warmer months, and this device has made a noticeable difference in keeping my home fly-free. Pros: Easy to Use: It was simple to set up—just plug it into any outlet, and it’s ready to go. No messy sprays or sticky traps are needed. Quiet Operation: Unlike other traps that can be loud or distracting, this fly trap operates silently, which I appreciate since it doesn’t disrupt daily activities or sleep. Attractive Design: The sleek, minimalist design blends into my home decor. It doesn't look like a traditional bug trap, which is a nice touch. No Chemicals: Since it uses UV light to attract flies, there are no harsh chemicals or odors, making it safe to use around pets and kids. Cons: Limited Range: While it works great in small to medium-sized rooms, it might not be as effective in larger spaces or outdoor areas. Light Bulb Replacement: The UV light bulb does need to be replaced periodically. It’s not difficult to do, but it’s something to keep in mind for maintenance. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this plug-in fly trap. It’s an efficient, low-maintenance solution that has noticeably reduced the number of flies in my home. If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to deal with flying insects indoors, I would highly recommend giving this a try.

In the summer I have issues with flies in and around my cat's litter box and I was going crazy trying to get rid of them. I plugged these in right next to the boxes. They catch about 5 a day, and after about a month and some refill cards I have almost no flies.

We've had these up in our kitchen for about a month. Pros: Nowadays they seem to be catching several fruit flies and are effectively reducing our fruit fly problem. Cons: -They take a while to start trapping flies or the flies are sensitive to the trap location or something. -The light is awfully bright, it's unpleasant to even accidentally look at. I'm unsure how necessary it is for it to be this bright. This also really depends on the height of your outlets. -If you have long hair, you can accidentally get it stuck in the trap :( Overall it's useful and you have to be patient with it but don't expect it to solve everything-- take care of your food waste and clean your drains if you can.

YELLOW CARDS NOT INCLUDED!! BOUGHT THOSE SEPARATELY TO REPLACE THE WHITE GLUE CARDS THAT COME WITH THE TRAPS. Details below. Had these out for a little over a day in different locations around the house and they've netted quite a haul!! By themselves, the Safer Home UV glue traps are VERY effective and much cleaner/nicer-looking than messy fly tape or stinky homemade vinegar jar traps. Wish I'd gotten them sooner! We mostly have fungus gnats because of the house plants, and those suckers absolutely FLOCK to these lights. Because of that, the refills that come with the traps get used FAST. The traps are solid value at roughly $13 each (at time of writing) but the replacement cards are a whopping $20 for 3... No thanks!! Instead I got a different glue trap comprised of double-sided yellow 8"x6" cards, which can be cut into fourths to fit the Safer Home base. Cut the notches into the bottom and peel off the paper on one side and you've got a much more affordable refill! Sure, they're not as pretty (they're floppier and the light shines through, as do the silhouettes of the trapped gnats) but I think it's way more cost-efficient. If the replacements ever become cheaper I'd be happy to convert, but until then 🫡

My husband and I have quite the collection of houseplants going on. We recently had a huge unexpected surge of those little brown gnats that hang around plants and pelt you in the face, especially in our bathroom with a south facing window, which doubles as a houseplant retreat when they look like they need a little sunlight infusion. We also have had a smaller, but still annoying, surge in our bedroom, which also has houseplants in it. Yesterday I decided I’d had enough and bought what I originally thought was a totally bougie and unnecessary purchase, these little light traps. Why would I spend almost $30 on two little plugins when there are so many alternatives? BECAUSE: -These are nowhere near as hideous and gross looking as regular fly traps. You do not see the flies until you remove them and they are small and sleek looking. -They attract the bugs with light, so I don’t have to just hope that the bugs wander into the trap. -They are chemical free which is important to me with an extremely curious toddler in the house. We also tried home remedies like soapy water and apple cider vinegar to no avail, just a stanky vinegary bathroom, these have no smell and actually work. -They are super easy to install, you just peel the backing off the card, slide it into the unit, plug it in and let it do its thing. -It’s silent, you’re only aware of it because of the light, which my husband didn’t love, but he doesn’t love gnats pelting him in the face more, so we’ll take it. -It is super easy to clean and dispose of, it’s not unruly like regular fly traps. I didn’t want to spend money on this initially and put it off till I couldn’t stand it anymore, I wish I had just bought them earlier. They are amazing. I’ve seen some complaints about these not treating the root cause of the problem/gnats and flies coming back. Obviously, these won’t kill eggs or prevent other bugs from coming into your house. But blaming the product for that is like buying a treadmill and then complaining that though it did help you exercise and did exactly what it said it would do, it didn’t stop you from overeating your favorite junk foods. This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. These photos are from one night, less than 12 hours, the difference is noticeable in our house. We assumed it would be more effective at night because it’s the only light source attracting the bugs. This may be my favorite purchase of 2024. My only complaint is that there is some kind of residue on the plug in itself which smears the printed on label, is a bit sticky and left black fingerprints around(last picture). It came off when I washed my hands but this was annoying. This happened before we even touched the sticky paper, so we know it’s an issue with the actual plugin unit. Still worth it to us.

We tried vinegar and soap, red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, fly tape and more with minimal success. This product worked awesome- highly recommend and I love that it’s safe for my toddler as well

Me ha funcionado súper bien, no siempre salva de que piquen los moscos pero eventualmente si los atrapa, gran producto, ya no quiero ninguna otra luz de noche
