We have three kids aged 3, 2, and 1 in a 1-bedroom apartment. This gate gives us the added security and privacy we need. Please note: the instructions DO say to mount using wall cups. What they don't say is that wall cups (and screws and holes in the wall) are entirely optional. They're highly recommended for added stability, especially if using at the top of stairs. I did not need or use any screws or tools to get a very sturdy and secure fit. I mounted this in less than 5 minutes in a 30" wide doorway. It's very simple and easy: insert "pressure bolts" into the four corners of the gate and tighten each one equally until the little green part slides all the way on the top of the gate. (That's the pressure indicator.) One side of my gate was even missing the correct holding plate on one corner, but I just stuck the bolt in there anyway and we have had zero issues. I didn't even need the extra washers or extenders, but it's nice to have the option if we move the gate elsewhere. The gate swings both ways with an option to lower a swing stop on the bottom of one side so it only swings one way. The 2-part latch IS a bit stiff at first, but it gets much easier with each open/close of the gate. My kids and I were so pleased with the gate that we played "Little Bear" coming-and-going, and the latch was working smoothly in mere minutes, haha. They're very excited to have their own gate, but they tried and failed to unlatch, so it is child-proof. My 2 y.o. daughter WAS able to latch it closed by shoving with all her bodyweight, but they don't have the hand-span or finger strength to undo the lock. All in all, we are quite happy. It looks cute, it keeps them on their room at night, but we can still leave the door open to hear and see them. Very renter friendly. 10/10.

Got this gate to keep my almost one year old from being able to climb the stairs. It is so easy to use. The auto closing feature is great that even my toddler closes the door to make sure her sister is safe. It’s very sturdy and was easily mountable onto our railing. Highly recommend this gate.

It was affordable, well-made, and incredibly easy to understand and install (which is not always the case with baby items)—I had it securely in place at the bottom of our stairs in no time. The pressure-mounted design means no drilling or damage to our plaster walls, and it feels very sturdy. Not good for top of stairs but works fine for bottom stairs. The release latch and red/green marker is also easy and nice. The only minor downside is the bottom bar, which can be a bit awkward to step over, but it’s a small trade-off for such a reliable and budget-friendly gate. Highly recommend!

I purchased 3 for my home. 1. The tension gates are made of metal and quite sturdy. My toddler pushed on it repeatedly with his entire body weight and it wouldn't move (however, it is still critical to always ensure that every child at watched while at the gate). 2. Installation was easy and fast as the first gate took me 1 hour, the second one took me 30 minutes while the third one was done in 15 minutes. Additionally, no drilling and no special tools were required. 3. 2 extensions came with the gate and are handy for different sized locations. 4. The gate doors can open up in either direction which is quite helpful. 5. A toddler cannot open this gate as it has 2 buttons (one push-button and another press button) that require movement simultaneously with the use of mild strength. This usually requires fine motor skills and the strength of a much older child or adult. Things to remember: The item is correctly setup with tension if and only if the locking mechanism slot is green in color when the gate is open. Recommendation: I personally recommend getting a baby gate wall protector cup (separate purchase and comes in a pack of 4) to prevent wall damage and offer additional grip. A simple search of "Baby Gate wall protector cup" will provide the necessary search results. Most wall protector cups fit this gate size. Biggest concern: The reason why I only gave this item 3/5 stars is because the threaded metal spindle rod and connection to the wall keeps breaking off. This has happened on all 3 of my gates, though the gates still remain intact. This can compromise the integrity of the gate as the tension can loosen over time. Additionally, I could not find spare parts on Amazon or the company page. So, even though I generally love this gate, I can only give it 3/5 stars until this potential design flaw is addressed. Customer service: Reaching customer service by email about the previously listed concern was a bit challenging and time-consuming.

Installed the gate which was a super simple process, gate feels sturdy and strong so far. I like the green red indicator to let us know if the latch is correctly positioned. Overall, good quality

Me gustó que no daña las paredes o donde se instala y es muy fácil de instalar siguiendo las instrucciones. Flexibilidad para ajustarlos a diferentes tamaños según las necesidades, y bastante resistente. Yo lo compré para mi perro (un Border Collie cachorro), y me ha funcionado perfectamemte. Sólo hay que acostumbrarse a cómo abrir la puerta (que está sobre todo diseñada para que niños pequeños no la abran).
