This set is extremely sturdy while still being lightweight enough to handle with ease. The textured design holds up well against wear, keeping it looking fresh even after multiple trips. The wheels roll effortlessly, making it a breeze to navigate crowded spaces without dragging or tilting. The smaller bag is great for short trips, and the larger one offers plenty of space for longer travels, with an expandable option for extra packing. The added security features are a nice touch for peace of mind. Overall, this is a well-designed set that balances durability, convenience, and practicality, perfect for frequent travelers.

I decided to travel only with a carry-on to eliminate the wait time at baggage claim abd this Samsonite carry-on is small, but holds quite a bit. I can pack 5 days worth of clothing (in compression cubes), an extra pair of shoes, and toiletries. This is very sturdy especially when packing more than expected. A few times I thought it may bust from over packing, but the zipper on the case stayed securely zipped, and it rolls around without issues, although can be a little tough on carpeted areas of the airport. I love adding my heavy backpack to the top (slides onto the handle) so I don't have to carry it. The handle has no issues with the weight of the backpack when I need to tilt it to zip through the airport. Works great on all four wheels too! Can go from smooth to rough terrain without any issues. The blue color is so nice! Fits perfectly in the overhead on the plane with no struggles, even after expanding the case. I also love that there is a handle on the side so that I can hold it sideways if I need to. I love this as a great compact way to travel.

The Samsonite Omni 2 Carry-On is a popular choice for travelers seeking a durable, lightweight, and stylish hard-shell suitcase. This 19-inch model aims to meet the needs of frequent flyers looking for a reliable companion for short trips and as a carry-on option. Here’s a breakdown of its pros and cons: Pros: Durability and Construction: The Omni 2 lives up to Samsonite's reputation for quality. The hardshell exterior, made from polycarbonate, feels robust and capable of withstanding the typical bumps and scrapes of travel. It’s designed to protect your belongings from damage during transit, making it a worthwhile investment for frequent travelers. Lightweight Design: This is a major selling point. The lightweight construction of the Omni 2 allows you to pack more without exceeding airline weight restrictions. This makes it easy to maneuver and lift into overhead compartments. Smooth Spinner Wheels: The four multi-directional spinner wheels are a game-changer. They glide effortlessly across a variety of surfaces, making navigating airports a breeze. The 360-degree rotation ensures smooth and easy movement in any direction. Expandable Feature: The ability to expand the suitcase provides much-needed flexibility. When you need extra space for souvenirs or last-minute packing, the expansion zipper allows you to gain a few extra inches, which is a handy feature to have. Organization: The interior features a zippered divider and elastic cross-straps, which help keep your belongings organized and prevent shifting during transit. This makes packing and unpacking more efficient. TSA-Approved Lock: The built-in TSA-approved lock provides an added layer of security, giving you peace of mind while traveling. This feature is particularly convenient, allowing TSA agents to open and inspect your luggage without damaging the lock. Stylish Aesthetics: The Omni 2 boasts a sleek and modern design that is available in a range of colors. It looks professional and stylish without being flashy. This adds to the overall appeal of the suitcase. Cons: Size Limitations: While it's a convenient carry-on, the 19-inch size might be restrictive for longer trips, even with the expansion feature. It may not be suitable for travelers who tend to overpack or need to carry a significant amount of clothing. Scratches: While the polycarbonate shell is durable, it can be prone to scratches and scuffs over time, especially with frequent use. This is a common issue with hardshell luggage, and while the damage is usually cosmetic, it may affect the overall appearance of the suitcase over time. Internal Space: The interior design can be slightly limiting for larger, bulkier items. The curved shell and internal components can take up some valuable packing space, so you might need to use packing cubes or be strategic about how you pack. Handle Wobble: Some users have reported a slight wobble in the telescoping handle. While this doesn't affect its functionality, it's a minor concern that some might find disconcerting. Price Point: The Samsonite brand typically comes with a higher price tag than other luggage options. While the quality justifies the cost for many, it might be a bit pricey for budget-conscious travelers. Overall: The Samsonite Omni 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage, Carry-On 19-Inch, is a solid investment for travelers who value durability, lightweight construction, and smooth maneuverability. The spinner wheels and expansion feature are highly convenient, and the TSA-approved lock offers added security. While it may have some minor drawbacks like the susceptibility to scratches and a slightly limited internal space, these are common concerns with hardshell luggage. If you’re looking for a reliable and stylish carry-on option that will withstand the rigors of travel, the Omni 2 is definitely worth considering. However, if you’re on a tight budget or require more packing space for longer trips, you might want to explore other options. Who Should Buy This: Frequent travelers who need a reliable and durable carry-on. Those who prioritize lightweight luggage and easy maneuverability. Travelers who appreciate a sleek and modern design. Those who value the peace of mind offered by a TSA-approved lock. Who Might Want to Consider Other Options: Budget-conscious travelers. Travelers who need a lot of packing space. Those who are bothered by minor cosmetic scratches. In conclusion, the Samsonite Omni 2 Carry-On is a well-rounded piece of luggage that delivers on its promises for quality and convenience. It's a great choice for most frequent flyers looking for a reliable travel companion.

I travel a fair amount - once or twice a year - but I usually buy the non-name brand luggage. I figure it won't look new for long and the performance should be about equivalent. I was mistaken - to an extent. This was a splurge gift for my wife. We travelled all over Europe for three weeks and multiple times I was really pleased with how easily they rolled, how well they resisted dirt and scuffing and the functionality of the two halves of the clamshell (one with a zip closure and one side with an elastic 'X' to hold in large light clothes). I like that there is some give to the sides (keeps weight down, less likely to crack or dent) and protects the contents. IIRC it may come with a fabric bag for storing dirty laundry. We had one for sure. Super good idea. Tip: toss in a few packets of laundry soap for sink-washing. Bonus tip: bring two wallets. One with your native currency (and the excess cash you wish to keep out of reach the pick-pockets. This stays in the locked suitcase at the hotel.) I like the combination security lock for when we left them at a hotel. It's not true security but it will keep out a peeping francois or francine because it will show tampering and not easily hackable - if you set your own code. I bought the set in silver and it was distinctive from the many navy colored cases disgorging from the ragged maw of the baggage claim. The silver color looked a bit classy (probably classier than I looked, tbh. It was late June in Rome and hot. I was a sweaty colonial mess. Thanks for keeping it cool and classy, silver Samsonite). I cannot recommend this set without reservation. They are honestly too pricey. If not for wanting to spoil my wife with the upgraded quality luggage, I wouldn't buy them. But there is more value to be had for the upcharge than I expected. Ad emptorem ire spolias

I ordered this lovely set of luggage for a wedding gift for my daughter . It was suppose to come in plenty of time through prime but was delayed twice and arrived after they left fir their honeymoon. The package was damaged on the outside. I did not open the product and will be returning it because I had to buy a different set so they would have it for their travels
