I’ve been using the SanDisk Extreme microSDXC 512GB card for a few days now, and it has redefined the way I manage my digital files. My primary use case is with my 4K drone and Android smartphone, and this card delivers exactly what I need. The transfer speeds are nothing short of spectacular, clocking in at up to 190MB/s with SanDisk’s QuickFlow Technology. Whether I’m transferring a day’s worth of high-resolution drone footage or gigabytes of app data, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in wait times compared to other cards I’ve used in the past. One of the standout features for me has been its write speed of up to 130MB/s. This has proven invaluable for capturing 4K and even 5K video on my drone without any lag or stuttering. Recording high-frame-rate video has always been a challenge with lesser cards, but this one keeps up effortlessly. I also paired it with the SanDisk Professional PRO-READER SD for maximum efficiency during file transfers, which worked seamlessly together. For photographers or anyone dealing with large media files, the card’s UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class 30 (V30) certifications make it an excellent choice. I’ve tested it in a DSLR for continuous burst shooting, and it handled the workload perfectly. The sustained write speed ensures that even when shooting RAW photos or extended video clips, I’m not left waiting for the camera to catch up. In terms of versatility, it’s ideal for a wide range of devices. I’ve also used it for app storage on my Android smartphone, and the performance has been rock-solid. The A2 rating means faster app loading times and a smoother user experience, which I’ve noticed particularly with heavier apps like games and video editors. This card truly feels like a well-rounded solution for anyone looking to optimize their digital workflow. Whether you’re a content creator, professional photographer, or just someone who wants fast and reliable storage, it’s a worthwhile investment. It has certainly elevated my experience across all my devices.

If you need an SD card, consider instead getting a microSD card and a dedicated adapter. The part of an SD card that typically fails first are the contacts, but a microSD card with a dedicated adapter will have very little wear on its own contacts; the wear will be on the contacts of the adapter, which can be replaced at less expense. Also, the microSD card can be retasked for use in a phone-set or somesuch. . I've had no problems using a card of this sort as the principal external drive for a notebook computer.

I use these larger memory cards for my GoPro, we travel a lot!! and I don't want to risk the memory's of our travel adventures to just any old memory cards. SanDisk is the one to trust and with the recent decrease in memory card prices its great to keep several on hand so they can be hot swapped and you never have to worry about what to delete to make room for your next adventure. I keep 3 minimum in rotation so we always have a fresh card ready and there is no need to rush the video editing to get the card back in the camera. I also use these in all 3 of my DJI Drones and have never had any issues with corrupt data or lost memory's

Not much to say here! This is a must-buy if you’re looking to store large amounts of pictures, videos, and/or digitally downloaded video games etc. It works perfectly with Laptops, Video Game Systems like the Nintendo Switch 1, and handheld gaming PCs like the Steam Deck and Lenovo Legion Go. The price per amount of storage can’t be beat.

Good SD cards! I had previously bought another brand that seemed to have good specs for recording with my DJI drone, but it didn’t work as expected. So, I looked for recommendations and found these. The quality of my drone videos has noticeably improved just by using this good memory card.

This 512 GB size has a bump on the underside that may not fit into some readers. I wasn't able to use the USB stick reader I ordered for this. Or rather, I nearly destroyed the card trying to get it out. I got pretty good copy speeds for my older equipment. I tested the entire card's capacity with the f3 utility. The advertised capacity is correct (in 1000 base, it's 476 GB in 1024 base) and I didn't get any errors reading the data back. MacBook Pro 2015 USB 3.0 reader: Write 1 GB (1024 based): 13s. 630 Mbps and 78.7 M-byte per second. Read 1 GB (1024 based): 12s. 682 Mbps and 85.3 M-byte per second. (Sustained reads were slightly slower.) Old Dell monitor USB 2.0 reader: Write 1 GB (1024 based): 1m11s. 115 Mbps and 14.4 M-byte per second. Read 1 GB (1024 based): 0m60s. 137 Mbps and 17.0 M-byte per second.

These memory chips are great! I still can hardly believe this tiny chip can hold and recall hundreds of music albums at a press of a button. Sandisk has been flawless! I hope this continues for many years to come.

I got the SanDisk 512 micro sd card when I switched phones and was moving all 10 years worth of pictures, videos, notes and apps. This brand has been very reliable and was nice to be able to free up the internal memory. It was easy to install and has worked well for years.

The SanDisk 256GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card is unbeatable in its price range. The read and write speeds are exceptional, far exceeding what others offer at the same price point. It’s perfect for 4K video recording, action cameras, and drones. The included adapter is a great bonus for added versatility. Highly recommend this card for anyone needing fast and reliable storage!
