Let’s be real: painter’s tape is the unsung hero of DIY projects, and ScotchBlue Original Multi-Surface Painter's Tape deserves a standing ovation. It's like having a reliable friend who shows up, does their job perfectly, and then leaves without a fuss. And it does it in style—that bright blue is practically saying, "I've got this." First off, this tape sticks like it means it. I’ve used it for everything from walls to baseboards to furniture, and it holds on like it's auditioning for a tape Olympics. But the best part? It comes off clean. No sticky residue, no peeling off half your paint job. It's basically the superhero of painter’s tape, swooping in to save the day and then exiting gracefully. I used it indoors, outdoors, on walls, trim, and even a weird project where I tried to paint designs on a mason jar (don’t ask, Pinterest made me do it). Every time, this tape kept the paint exactly where it was supposed to be—like an invisible forcefield against my clumsy brush strokes. And the clean lines? Chef’s kiss. It’s so satisfying when you pull the tape off and reveal those crisp, professional edges. You almost want to take a victory lap around your house for nailing that DIY look. I’m not saying I did, but I definitely thought about it. Pro tip: make sure you press down the edges of the tape really well. It’s like making sure your seatbelt’s clicked before a rollercoaster—you don’t want any paint sneaking through! But once it’s on, you’re golden. Bottom line: whether you’re giving your living room a facelift or just trying not to paint your doorframe accidentally, ScotchBlue is your go-to. It’s strong, reliable, and leaves no mess—basically the perfect partner in crime for any painting project. And when you’re done, it peels off smoother than a well-delivered punchline. What more could you ask for from tape?

I’ve been using ScotchBlue Original Painter’s Tape for various DIY projects, and it consistently delivers great results. The tape adheres well to multiple surfaces, including walls, trim, and even some delicate areas, without leaving residue. It’s especially helpful for creating sharp paint lines, making my projects look professional. However, I recommend ensuring the surface is clean and dry before applying, as it might lose adhesion on dusty or rough areas. It’s also easy to remove without peeling off existing paint, which is a huge plus. This tape is a reliable choice for anyone who values precision and hassle-free cleanup in their painting projects!

I cant ever figure out how to use this tape properly when painting walls but I do like it for craft projects. Residue removal is easy as there is very little to none. Stickiness is good and if it gets stuck to itself, I can usually unstick it pretty quickly. Seals good for crafts but I have textured walls and it doesn't do too well on those. Good thickness and tears easily and straight across. Appearance is good.

This time around I purchased this tape for hanging decorations so I didn’t reck the painted walls In our Airbnb. It’s super thick quality, easy to tear, and has so many uses. Use it to paint, use it to edge, use it to hang stuff, use it to decorate, etc. If you use it to decorate I generally place the blue tape down first then a double sided tape where I want to stick things then the object. It covers the blue tape up and it sticks it to the wall. It’s like having a barrier between. It’s so easy to apply. I returned this particular roll because I used my opened roll which had enough but I wanted to share how I found value in what I used it for.

I used this to mask off some trim board that I wanted to paint... it did the job well. The adhesion is good but not great - and it is a little pricey compared to standard ole masking tape but again, it worked well. I suggest getting the wider version - the thumb width stuff was only a buck less and covered much less space.

This ScotchBlue painter’s tape has been great overall! It protects surfaces well and removes easily without pulling up paint, which is exactly what you need for a clean finish. The only issue I’ve had is that the tape sometimes tears when pulling it off, but it’s not a huge problem. Still, it’s a solid choice for both indoor and outdoor painting projects. Would definitely recommend!

This is a classic painter's tape. Works well, sticks great, and doesn't peel up the paint underneath or leave any residue. My preschooler uses it all the time for "experiments". It's easy to get off of anything. We also use it to label food in the fridge or freezer. Again, very easy to remove and doesn't leave residue. A great versatile tape.

Great masking tape. Precise and does not leave any marks once removed even after beeing exposed to direct sun and heat.

me resulta muy comoda para proteger la madera en los cortes para que no astille y para proteger los margenes que voy a encolar.. pega estupendamente, permite despegar y volver a pegar con la misma fuerza sin problemas... encantado con ella a parte por el precio... pero merece la pena
