I'm happy with this tumbler. It keeps things cold for pretty long, and I haven't tried it with hot liquids but I assume it also performs well there too. It's big but still fits in my car cup holder. The lid has a seal on the straw hole, so the straw doesn't move around while you drink, and if the tumbler falls on its side, it doesn't spill. However, if you hold the tumbler upside down, it'll leak, so it's not 100% leak proof. I like how the handle is rounded and easy to grip, and I like how easy it is to twist the lid on and off. The only thing I regret is the fact that it's too big and heavy to fit in my backpack side pocket without falling out. But that's on me for not getting a smaller bottle.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not an influencer, nor have I received anything in return for this honest review. I also gave this tumbler a solid month of daily use before I put in my 2 cents. Also, the pictures were taken in broad daylight. The picture of me holding it upside down is the only time it leaked, but, ya know, I'm holding it full of water, upside down, and even then, only a tiny bit escaped. Through the straw, not the lid, mind you. When the straw was removed and I held it upside down, droplets escaped, one by one. I didn't purchase this for any other reason than to reduce my beverage goblin tendencies, and to support my laziness in regards to washing excess dishes. I bought this because I was tired of having a car cup and a house cup. My house cup is my favorite, it also holds 40 oz, but doesn't fit any cup holder because it's essentially a tank (I copped it on clearance at Walmart 2 years ago for like, $6, and it's the tits). HOWEVER, it really sucks to not be able to take it everywhere, and it's definitely not spill proof. So I had that tank for the house, and my 8 year old 30 oz Yeti for the vehicle, since it fits. I've never used a Stanley so I cannot compare, though I do own the Simple Modern 64oz summit, had it for years, and it's stood the test of time and regular use, both outdoor and indoor. But it's not practical because, although it's very well made, it's massive, heavy, handle-less, and rolls out of the passenger seat onto the floor and out of reach, leaving me parched and annoyed. This tumbler is well-made, from the unit itself to the lid and straw, and the price point is beyond reasonable. I'd have paid $40 for it because of how well it's preformed. The handle is sturdy and comfortable, and it supports the full weight of 40 oz of ice water easily. I've dropped it several times and the powder coating hasn't chipped, nor has the metal dinged. Although most wouldn't think if it, it is SO nice to decide where I want the straw to be in regards to where and how I'm sitting and what hand I'm reaching for it with. It washes up easily. It's not obnoxiously large and it's overall appearance is low-key. It keeps my tea cold and fresh for 2 days indoors. I've left it filled with ice water in my vehicle for 2 days (in early June in the south, mind you). I got super thirsty after a grocery run and took a sip. It was room temperature, if not a skosh cool, but in no way was it warm, even though the cup itself was. It's fallen out of a backseat cup holder and laid on the floor for well over an hour without my knowledge, and although a few drops escaped from the straw, the carpet of my vehicle was dry, and the tumbler was still full of ice water. And, ya know, it keeps you hydrated because you can always keep that thang on you. I ordered the almond color. It's really more of a very light beige. Or coffee that's mostly creamer. A lot lighter than you'd think. It's definitely that boring popular aesthetic hue that everyone's so into, so if that's what you're going for, it's spot on. All in all, I really really REALLY like this tumbler and I'd definitely recommend it. Then again, Simple Modern products haven't ever really let me down, so it's not a huge shocker.

I love my cup! I drink so much more water with it. It keeps cold water cold for long periods of time. The lid is easy to clean and the handle is just right. I like having something that looks trendy but is super-minimal. The tan beige color is perfect to go with my favorite outfits and it fits well in my car cup holder. I’d recommend this cup to anyone looking for an alternative to the Stanley brand.

This is my 2nd cup. I have the 40 oz and love that it fits in my car cup holder. It seals and water does not leak out except out of the straw unless it's turned over. So it's best to get a straw cap. I've never used it hot, but I have given them as gifts and they have told me that the liquid stays hot over night. As for the cold part I put ice in it in the morning it still has ice in it the next morning. I love that you have so many colors too choose from. And best of all the PRICE!!! And all that you get for the price. I refuse to pay want so many others pay to drink out of a cup, because of a name!!!! My cup is better!!!!

I drink mostly water and have a very energetic pup and a cat who just doesn't care, so I can't have open glasses hanging around on my coffee table or nightstand. I had been using a thermos, but flipping the "spout" every time I wanted a sip was getting annoying. I had been using a plastic cup with a straw that was literal swag from a vendor that was past its prime and thought I'd give this tumbler a try. So glad I did. I LOVE it! It's durable, keeps my water cool and tasty with no leaking, and is easy to carry around the house. And aesthetically pleasing, to boot. I've only had for a few hours and it's my new favorite thing!

I love the fun colors (got the pink/purple/blue/green)!! Makes me so happy to look at it. Also love the simplicity of the lid, smooth top, tight but not too tight straw hole. It does leak if knocked over, but not quickly. I got the 30oz and it fits my car’s cup holder. Kept ice overnight in 72 degrees F. I like that you can screw the lid on differently for 4 different straw placements. It goes with me everywhere. I never owned a Stanley, but the straw fits the same size silicone straw cover accessories, which is awesome. Pics show straw cover (bought separately) and 2/4 lid positions. 100% would recommend.

This tumbler is amazing! I wanted to try something with a handle, but can't get behind the stanley hype and price. Enter Simple Modern! I have the classic tumbler, wine tumbler, and can coozie by SM and love them, they all are quality. The Trek is very lightweight for the size, beautiful olive green color for fall, keeps my cold drinks cold and my hot drinks hot! Love that 40 ounces is easily carried and the wider straw makes it easy to meet daily water needs. The quarter turn lid is a nice touch, it can get the straw positioned for left or right handed drinking. Their customer service it also great, I had a past tumbler where the lid broke off inside the cup and they were quick to send a replacement. Definitely planning on getting other colors for other seasons!

Love the color and design, so pretty. Keeps ice cold with the stainless steel inside instead of insulated plastic. Excellent quality. Seal is great, does not leak. Not too heavy to hold. I got the 40oz since I live in desert. I do wish it came with a metal straw.
