Sprinkled on stairs & sidewalk worked great! All my neighbors had solid ice and mine stayed ice free for days! Highly recommend!

We have been using SnoJo Melt for several years. The Crystal's are blue and the right size. Easy to see where applied and does not clump in the bag. Safe for our indoor/outdoor cat. And works well under 20 degrees.

Use of this is pretty straightforward. You just spread it where you would like the snow or ice to melt and remain melted like on your walkways or your doorstep. You do have to reapply a few times if say the edge of the roof drips on a spot on your doorstep because the Product gets washed away at some point. I have noticed if you do not do more than a couple of application applications then in the deep cold of the night, it will refreeze which is why I got four stars.

I love this ice melt. Its color is easy to see against the blacktop driveway. It was not full of clumps, which made it easy to put in my hand-held spreader and distribute evenly over the driveway. I will definitely purchase it again, and for 50 lbs, it's worth the price. The big plus is that it's delivered right to my door.

There is a story about the Snow Melt product. The original order that I had placed was for 7 50LB bags of the Snow Melt. As a result, I could only account for 6 of the 7 50-lb bags ordered, which subsequently prompted a call to the Snow Joe Ice Melt people. I did talk to customer service and was taken seriously. The missing bag of the Snow Melt was lost by a common carrier who was responsible for the apparent mishandling and subsequent short which the call to Customer Service served to advise. I was glad to have talked to the Snow Melt people as I was to be sent the claim of a lost and unaccounted bag of the Snow Melt product. The replaced bag arrived within a reasonable period with a further note. This is an excellent product. a short while after some chilly weather set in, ice and some slick services needed attention, indeed I used two of the bags of the Snow Melt product with any ice or any challenging buildup treated judiciously. The buildup of ice and some coating of snow was very effectively removed by the Snow Joe Ice Melt. This did not take any extended period either, it was very effective and went to work as soon as it hit the ground. I was impressed with the Snow Joe Ice Melt and as well I will extend a care as to the Customer Service. I respected the ability of the Snow Joe Ice Melt people to provide a care and courteous consideration. There is no question as to both issues of integrity and a product as effective as the Snow Joe Ice Melt has proven to be.

The area where I reside received about 3 to 4 inches of snow. All the stores that I went to and called was sold out before the snow arrived. So after I realized that the stores were not getting anymore the day the snow came. I ordered from one of Amazon’s sellers and it took 3 days for delivery. By the time of delivery there was about 3” of snow and ice. I waited after 2 days to drop the ice melt on my front porch, sidewalks and driveway that had turned into ice because of fallen temperatures. The Snow Ice Melt worked fast and I was satisfied. The price was too expensive. I cheese this seller because of the date of delivery that was shown. The other sellers May had the same price or higher and the delivery date was too far down the line. I believe that the demand for this product was very high at the time of my purchase and the demand was very high across the United States so maybe that’s why the sellers were selling the snow ice melt for a higher price. The following week, I went to my local grocery store and the store was very well stocked. I was able to purchase a 20 pound jug of Morton’s Snow melt 3 times lower the cost of this brand.

living in a cold-winter climate, we get a lot of snow, sometimes multiple storms in the same day. Even when they aren't major storms, we often get a little "drizzle" of snow throughout the day. This gets very frustrating. You spend a couple of hours shoveling the sidewalks, and a few hours later it looks like you didn't do anything because the sidewalks are covered in that fine, snowy drizzle. The best use of this melter is for those in-between times. Throwing it onto a sidewalk that's loaded down with snow won't do much for you because it just melts through and sits on the sidewalk underneath. But when your sidewalk is clear, sprinkling just a small amount of this melter onto the concrete surface will keep that continuous drizzle from getting a foothold. The new coating melts as it hits this stuff and your sidewalks stay clear until a heavy snow comes along. It really doesn't take much, either. I expect this 25 pound bag to last me through most of the winter!

Likes: none Dislikes: it does not melt ice without a lot of it thrown down making it not worth the $.
