This is an amazing value and a great quality product. I buy this often for making Clam chowder and the quality is great but the value is even better! My recipe calls for 3x 6oz cans, which costs me about $8 at the local grocery. This 51oz can costs $11 and makes the chowder so much meatier and more delicious. Highly recommend!

There's not a lot of meat in it, mind you. It's mostly "clam juice", whatever that is. But the quality of the meat is excellent 👌. Nicely chopped too! For the price I guess it's worth it, barely. 👍

This is perfect for making a decent sized clam chowder for the family. Compared to the small cans, it is quite the value, and you don't have to buy separate clam juice. After draining the can, the clam mean left in the can is about 40% of the volume...not bad!!! And the meat looks and tastes great. I dump the meat in the soup just before serving. Basically with this quantity, I use maybe 2-3x the meat and juice as the recipe calls for--turns out great after you adjust the recipe for taste. They do not sell this size can in the grocery stores and the commercial supplier has something similar for a lot more $. Recommended. Update: Last couple of cans had nice sized chunks of clam. Made for a delicious clam chowder. Smaller cans usually have small sized chunks of clam. Update: Buy well in advance. Noticed that price DOUBLED around xmas time.

These chopped clams are great for any recipe. I add a can to store bought clam chowder for a boost of clam flavor and a heartier meal. Most recipes I look up for clam dishes recommend Snows clams.

I buy these to make chowder, when cooking for two this can is way to much. I take this can and measure into quarters and make chowder four times, each time with leftovers for two. I freeze the other portions for three more rounds. Great product!
