I bought a different brand of 'black vinegar' (52***) to use in making a recipe for dinner guests. I found that it was crude, bad tasting, and inedible. But I thought I would Try this brand before I gave up on black vinegar. I didn't have high hopes but now I'm glad I did! This Soeos vinegar is excellent! Black vinegar made right! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Great deep, complex flavor! Rolls over the tongue very pleasantly ... not harsh and cheap like the other brand. Aroma is pleasant. Not over-whelming of vinegar. Good body. You can't go wrong with this. I can't wait to use this for a dipping sauce for dumplings and/or chicken! I will definitely buy again!!!!

If you like Unami, this is your pick. It is a little too powerful for us, but when mixed with olive oil and herbs it brings out delicious notes.

This product is a pleasant surprise. It is similar to worcestershire sauce but with a milder taste.

Very strong flavor. The taste is a cross between balsamic and red wine vinegar.

This is very good Black Vinegar. It has that distinct taste. It should not taste like Balsamic or cider vinegars. This tastes age and it properly flavors Asian dishes ! Highly recommend. It was packaged very well and sealed.

I just love this black rice vinegar, it has good flavour, I use other Chinkiang black rice vinegar before and did not like it. I use it in every meal, add it to soup, noodles whether it is in soupy form or stir fried. It has warm energy and nourish the blood according to traditional eastern belief.

Difficult to find in a grocery store, at least in my area. Ones located were smaller bottles & more expensive. I have yet to try this product in a recipe, hence 4 stars instead of 5!

This is my first time trying Chinese black vinegar and I love it. I bought it to make Kung Pao chicken but I will be using it for much more. It came packed in a tight fitted box so no damage was done to the glass bottle. As it's my first time trying black vinegar I can't really compare it to other brands but I really enjoy the flavour of this one.

This is my new go to - is amazing for a different spin on a Greek salad. Skip the oil, just use this vinegar. (Or mix with rice bran oil) I like putting a splash in cold water- very refreshing.
